Chapter 14

Question and answer.

Hebe's POV

We finally arrived at a skating rink, so this was where we were going. He opened the door for me. "It's kind of cold." I said, as a blast of cold air came rushing out.

"Here." He said as he gave me his jacket. "Wont you be cold?" I asked, curious. "It's okay." He said and I smiled.

"Thanks." He was so nice, if I wasn't already in love, I might have liked him. We rented some skates and I stepped on the ice. I was never able to skate, though I've tried many times.

Once I took a step and let go from the railings I fell. Right on my butt. "Oww..." I said quietly to myself. I'm sure I'll get a bruise there soon.

Calvin skated over to me and held out a hand. "Thanks." I said and smiled. "You don't know how to skate?" He asked as I slowly stood up. My knees were shaking.

I didn't know if he was asking because he wanted to know or asking because he was making fun of me. "Ha, Ha very funny." I said.

"I'll teach you, come on." He said, but before he finished he was already dragging me on the ice. "Ahhh.. uh... Whaa... Aren't we going a bit to fast? I asked.

My knees were bent as I stared at Calvin. He was skating backwards while holding my hand. After a few minutes I slowly got the hang of it.

"You can let go now, I want to try it myself." I said as Calvin let go of my hands and skated out of the way. I took a step and lost balance.

Calvin was right behind me and caught me before I fell again. "Thanks." I replied. "Haha, no problem. Would you like to try again?" He asked.

I didn't answer but I nodded. He held one hand and we skated slowly. I took a step and slid, but I didn't fall. Then I took another step, and slip a bit.

Soon I was getting the hang of it and I was skating. I couldn't believe it. I was really skating. A smile slowly formed on my face.

When Calvin turned his head to look at me, he started to smile as well. I wonder what was thinking.

"Hey, Calvin, what are you thinking?" I asked, I didn't know why, but the smile he had on his face got me curious. "I'm thinking about how funny you looked when you fell."

He said and his smile got bigger. Soon he started to laugh. "Hmp.." I said and he looked at me again. I looked a bit mad but I wasn't really. "I was kidding."
He said and started to pull me faster. I tried to go faster. He let go of my hand and said, "Try skating yourself." I did try, and I was really having fun. The cold air blowing in my face.

I started to go faster and faster without looking where I was going. Soon I bumped into a wall. "OUCHIE." I said after I hit the wall. Then I realized Calvin was watching me.

He started laughing, REALLY hard. I got up and skated over to him. He was still laughing. I stood there waiting for him to finish. He was still laugh FIVE MINUTES LATER.

"Are you done yet?" I asked. "YOU THEN AHAHHAHHAHAH." He said, still laughing. Soon I started laughing too. After a while people started to stare at us so we stopped.

But we still had a huge smile on our face. He took a look at his watch and said, "Lets go." As he dragged me off the ice. Soon we were back in the car. How many places where we going to?

When he opened the door for me I got out. It was a restaurant, now that you mention it, I am hungry. So we went in and ate. We took our time eating.

This time we even talked, and laughed. We got to know each other more. He turned out to be really funny. I really enjoyed today. It was a great first date, but it wasn't over yet.

So once we finished eating, which seemed like a very long time, we got out and went in the car. I opened the window and took a breath of air. Fresh air always makes me feel good.

I smiled as the wind blew in my face and my hair blew wild. The air felt warm against my cheeks. "What are you, a dog?" Calvin said. "Huh, no, but the wind feels so nice." I replied, still smiling.

The faster he drove, the harder it was to breath but the wind still felt nice. There was a red light and he slowly stopped. I took a few deep breaths before be started driving again.

He gave out a chuckle but didn't say anything. I didn't know where we were going but I was having fun, just sitting in the car. "We're almost there." He said.

"Already?" I asked, at least there was always the ride home. "Yes, aren't you cold?" He replied and asked. In truth I wasn't cold at all. Today was such a sunny day.

It wasn't late so the sun would be up for at least another half an hour. "Nope." I said, I might have sounded like a little kid but I couldn't hear well with all the sound the wind makes.

The car slowly stopped. This time we were getting off. He opened the door for me as I hopped off. Taking in another breath of air. When I realized where we were.

THE BEACH! My smile widened as I ran towards the sand. I took my shoes and felt my feet sink into the sand a bit. It felt so great between my feet.

I ran towards the water and dipped my feet into it. Then I took a step out and waited for the water to rise.

When it did I felt my feet sink into the sand just a little more and left behind my foot print. I smiled and looked over at Calvin, who was smiling at me.

"What?" I asked, curious to why he had the strangest smile on. "Nothing." He replied and he cleared his throat. I took a look at the sky. The sun was starting to set.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" He said. I walked over to him and nodded. I could feel the sand sticking to my foot. I smiled and laughed quietly to myself, so I wouldn't look like a weirdo laughing for no reason.

It felt so warm, from the sun shining on it all day. I sat down next to him. "But it isn't as beautiful as you.." He said. I was shocked, my eyes widened.

I quickly turned the other way, before he could see me start to blush. He chuckled and we sat there in silent. I looked up and saw that the sun was rising.

The sky turned into orange and the clouds orangey-yellow. I gave out a big smile and started to space out. Looking at it calmed me down and I knew I wasn't blushing anymore.

He turned to me and said, "There’s something I've been meaning to ask you.." I turned to look at him. He had a serious face on, and it made me wonder what he had to ask me.

"What is it?" I asked, trying to speed up the conversation so I can find out. "Well.." He said and looked away, before he did I could see him blush slightly.

Aaron's POV

I didn't do much today, I couldn't help but wonder what they were doing now. I wanted to call them and ask where they were, and maybe ask to go with them, but that wouldn’t be fair to Calvin.

It must have took a lot of courage to confess to Hebe, I still don't have the nerve to. I gave out a sigh. I felt like time was passing by slower then it should.

I waited in my room, all I could hear was the clock ticking. Selina and Jiro decided to go out on a date today, so did Ella and Chun so I was alone today.

I took another look at the clock. Only two minutes has pass. I gave out another sigh and went downstairs. I got some chips out and turned on the TV. There wasn't anything good on.

I looked at the clock again. Another minute passed. See what I mean? Time is passing by so slow. I looked out the window, still wondering what they were doing.

Maybe they are kissing. I shook my head, trying to get the thoughts out. I'm sure they wont, it's just their first date. Once I got the thought in my head, it wouldn't get out.

I tried to distract myself but nothing worked. The good news was another ten minutes passed. I sat on the couch staring into space and stuffing myself with chips.

I'll just take a nap. I went upstairs into my room and laid down. Trying to sleep, but imiges of Hebe and Calvin out on their date bothered me. I should be happy for them.

Why do I have to be so stupid? If I told Hebe before Calvin, I would be the one on the date, having the best time of my life. Time passed faster when I was lost in my thoughts.

What were they doing right now?
