Wow.. I see Hebe walking this way. What does this girl want now? Then she stopped about two lockers away from mine and opened it, oh great don’t tell me that her locker.
It just seems like she following me now. She didn’t make eye contact and didn’t say a word. It’s like I wasn’t even there. Maybe she’s mad?
“Hey” was all I could say at my attempt to make her forgive me. No reply. Can you believe this girl? Most girls would scream if I talked to them.
For some odd reason I didn’t like the feeling of her being mad at me. Usually I wouldn’t even care if someone was mad at me. I gave a grin. Nothing. She took out her books and walked away.
Okay, I’m pretty sure I didn’t hear a scream. She is different. When I got to my next class she was already there listening to Ella and Selina talk.
She didn’t talk herself though. I wonder why. The teacher walked in and the class was silent. Once in a while I would stare at her.
She would always be doing the same thing copying down notes. I didn’t know you could write that fast! Since I sat right behind and I was obviously taller then her I took a peek behind her shoulders.
Wow. It was so neat. Some were underlined and others were just the teacher talking. She must have felt my breath because she turned around.
For about one second are faces were about a centimetre away. Then she turned around. My heart was beating like crazy and I don’t know why.
Hebe’s POV
At my locker Aaron was trying to start a conversation. Reasons why I didn’t answer? I could think of two. One, I couldn’t talk. Two, I was still mad at him.
I totally ignored him and went to class. I sat down and started to listen to Selina and Ella talk. Selina was telling Ella what happened.
The teacher came in and Selina stopped talking. I started to copy down notes so I could study them at home.
I underlined stuff that she said we needed to know. I felt someone breathing on my neck. I ignored it at first but then it got annoying.
I turned around to find, you guessed it. Aaron. My face was so close to his that I turned around before he notices I was blushing. I kept writing down notes like nothing happened.
The bell rung about half an hour later. Yes! Lunch was next. I went to line up to buy my lunch. After I went to the table in the corner. We ate and talked.
Well what happens next is pretty boring so I wont bother telling you what happens at the rest of the day. Lets skip to after school with the magic of your imagination.
We waved good-bye to Ella and went our separate ways. Selina went on and on about stuff until we reached home. When we got home Aaron and Jiro were already home.
“Hello.” I heard both of them say. I quickly walked to my room. Selina followed after she answered hello. Once we changed into our pjs it was time to give this house a clean.
After about an hour or so we were done. I went into my room to do my homework and study. Selina followed and also did her homework.
Around six or so I got up and started dinner. I didn’t know what to make so I looked at the ingredients we had to see what I could make.
I think spaghetti would be nice today so I got started on it. I finished at seven and Selina called them both down for dinner. “DINNERS READY” she yelled so loud that my ears started to hurt.
They came rushing into the kitchen and sat down. Selina and I sat down as well. It was awkward between us but Selina and Jiro didn’t seem to notice.
“So how’s it going?” Aaron asked. Well that was random. “Uh nothing much” Selina and Jiro both replied. I said nothing. Well what did you want me to say?
Something like. Oh nothing I’ve just been mad at you ever since yesterday and thanks to that I’ve lost my voice. Yeah I would say that.
Trust me, I would to bad that I couldn’t speak. I quickly finished my dinner and went to take my shower. I got out of the washroom to find Selina sitting on my bed.
“Hey Hebe.” She said. I wonder what’s up. I took my board out of my backpack and wrote. “Hey Selina, I’m done with the washroom you can go next”
“Oh okay.” She replied. It was silent between us until she asked, “So how’s your voice?” I quickly wrote down “Not sure, haven’t tested it out.”
“Why don’t you give it a try right now?” I gave a nod and opened my mouth to speak. Or at least try to speak. “ ” Nothing.
No sound came out of my mouth. I gave a sigh and went to brush my teeth. After I got out of the washroom again Selina went in to take her shower.
There was a knocking sound on my door so I went to check whom it was. “Hi.” Said Aaron. Once I heard his voice I turned around and walked to my bed.
Like there was no one at the door. “Look I know your mad but deal with it. I am who I am and I am your boss.” Oh he had to bring it up again.
What’s with this guy? I pretended I didn’t hear a think and opened up my book. “If you don’t speak to me I’ll have you fired.”
Threatening me? Well its true that right then and there I was pretty scared. Without this job I don’t think I can survive. Its not like I can talk either.
I took out my board and was about to write “Why do you think I’m not talking to you? Its because I’ve lost me voice dummy.” But I stopped.
So what if I got fired? I’m sure there’s another job somewhere out there that I can do. If I gave into him now he would bring up being my boss for life.
He isn’t what you called the best boss. So I ignored him and acted like I didn’t hear a thing. I slowly flipped to the next page in my book and pretended to read.
“If that’s how you feel then.” And he stopped midway. I wonder what’s he going to say. Am I fired? Should I start looking for a new job now?
