Chapter 7

Everything is working out.

Hebe's POV

I couldn't help but think there was always someone staring at me. It got kind of strange but I didn't think to much about it.

When the bell rang. Selina and Ella left with me to get moved in. Ella made a phone call to her mother to tell her about me living there.

We moved all the stuff in and my two best friends helped me set everything up. We had fun doing it.

Its seems like its been so long since I last had fun. So long since I laughed so hard that my stomach started to hurt.

Also long since I've smiled so much that my cheeks hurt. Yesterday seem like months ago. To me, that was a good thing.

I didn't want to remember. It would just bring back tears. So I decided not to live in the past, but the present.

My voice hasn't returned but in a way I feel like it is. My friends understand me so well.

They might know me better then I know myself. That sounded crazy and stupid. Yet in a way, true. I've almost forgot all about him.

"So when are you getting a new job, do you want us to help you look?" asked Selina. I shook my head and wrote down.

"It's okay, I can do it myself." They both nodded.

Ella and Selina were just about to leave when I remembered something important I needed to ask Ella.

"WAIT" I yelled. They were both shocked. "HEBE YOU TALKED!" Ella yelled. "I've missed your voice!" Selina said.

They both had such big smiles on that I couldn't help but smile along. Then I remembered what I needed to ask Ella.

"Uh, Ella! How much is the rent?" She stopped laughing then answered. "You don't need to pay Hebe, that’s what friends are for!"

They are such good friends. I can't believe it. They helped me so much already. I'm starting to feel bad and guilty. Ella's family isn't rich.

I felt bad. They needed the money. I can't just free load off of them. It's just not fair. "Oh no! I mean it, how much?"

Ella thought about it for a second. Then replied

"I know you wont give up until you get your way so I'll have to give it. Since your my friend, I'll make it cheaper. How’s 200?"

I gave her a smile and replied. "Perfect." We said our good byes and they all left. I took a look around the house.

It wasn't big, but it was so perfect. Small but hey, I'm the only one living here so it doesn't matter.

There were three rooms. A bed room, a washroom and the living room and kitchen were together.

The bed room was small but it was my taste. It gave the homie feeling to it. It felt nice.

I haven't had this feelings since my parents died and I had to sell the house for extra cash. The room came with a very comfy bed.

Also a closet and a desk. That’s all the small room can hold. It had a coat of white paint and a warm carpet. This is totally my style.

I don't feel the need to describe the washroom. And the kitchen and living room was nice.

It had a stove, fridge and came with pots and pans. there was a small table for eating and a coach.

I sat there day dreaming with a big smile on my face. I must have looked like an idiot but that’s okay. Oh no! I forgot I still need a job.

So I got up and went job hunting. Trust me, it's harder then it sounds.

By the end of the day I managed to get a job at an ice cream shop in the mall.

It didn't pay enough for rent so tomorrow I will have to go job hunting for another job. I let out a big sight. Just then my cell phone rang.

I checked the caller I.D and it was Ella.

"Hey Ella, what’s up?"

"Hebe, do you still need a job?

"Uh yeah. Why? Did you find me job?" I asked.

"Yeah you can work at my family's restaurant as a waitress, what do you think?"

"Oh yes that is perfect!" I replied and she hung up. I hung up and i had that idiot grin on my face once again.

Oh! I forgot, there’s a test tomorrow. I quickly ran into my room and got out my notes and text book. I studied for hours.

When I was done I got ready for bed. I was laying down on then bed. Today was the perfect day. It's all thanks to my friends.

I gave huge sigh and went to sleep. I woke up the next morning and got ready for school.

Today, I walked with Ella and met up with Selina in class. School was the same. The only difference was there was a test.

I did okay, maybe I aced it but who knows for sure? After school I went straight to work. Ice-cream shop was first.

So many little kids. Little kids and sugar don't go well together. My hands started to hurt after a while.

You wouldn't guess who walked in. Aaron and his friends, Calvin, Jiro and Chun.

"Oh hey Hebe!" Jiro greeted. After that there we hays from all the guys. All but Aaron. He kept silent.

They all ordered and I got them what they wanted. When I handed Aaron his ice-cream I gave him a smile.

I didn't like not being friends with someone. To me it's just wrong so I guess I should at least be a bit nice to him.

Tons of reasons to hate him and a few to like. Let me name you some of them.

Like.

1. He's cute.

2. He's hot.

3. Uh... I'm out so lets just skip to the hate!

Hate.

1. He's a player.

2. He fired me without asking me why I wasn't talking to him. I mean come on! I couldn't talk if I wanted to.

3. He made me cry TWICE.

4. Because of him I am now working two jobs while keeping my grades up.

5. He took away a lot of sleep, I mean look at the bags under my eyes.

Okay, okay. I can go on all day but what’s the point? So lets just skip to six hours later. I was on my way to the restaurant.

I was serving people. Everything was fine until HE had to show up with his friends.

"Whoa! Your working here too Hebe?" Jiro said. The others just ordered and I took their orders.

I gave them all a smile. Even if HE doesn't deserve it. I'll try to be nice. Even if I hate him. They ate.

I was surprised that Aaron stayed quiet, hardly talked. They left and I cleaned up their tables. Another six hours later I was done.

I walked home.

Days went by, nothing changed. I worked twelve hours a day. Went to school for six hours.

Studied and finished homework three hours and slept three hours.

Aaron's POV

I bumped into Hebe so many times today. I don't know why but when I saw her working hard I felt bad.

I felt horrible. Its my fault but I wasn't going to tell her to come back to work so I just ignored her.

She gave me a sweet smile and my heart was beating fast. It felt so good to see her smile.

I was just about to smile back when I remembered that wasn't the best idea.

~~ December 17th ~~

Hebe's POV

As we were eating lunch Aaron, Jiro, Calvin and Chun came over to our table.

"Hey." They all greeted. All but Aaron. Ha-ha, what a surprise. I gave another smile.

"We're having a Christmas party, what to come?" Chun asked.

Selina and Ella both answered yes. I nodded my head slightly.

I didn't want to go because you know who will be there. I shouldn't let him ruin my fun.

They gave us an invitation and walked back to their table. I sat there finishing my lunch while Selina and Ella talked.

About what? I have no idea. I wasn't listening. Lunch was the only time I could be half asleep so I was.
