Gillian was working busily on a project her company accepted. Knock! Knock! "Come in," she didn't even bother to look up from her work as the man looked around her room and smiled at the photo frame fence. "Yes?" Gillian asked impatiently, still refusing to look up at her guest.
The man curved into a smile. "I was just wondering if Ms. Gillie will have time to have lunch with me today."
Gillian looked up at the man with a murderous glare. "Mr. Eddie Chen, how many times do I have to ask you to stop calling me 'Gillie'?"
"And how many times do I have to remind you that my name is 'Edison' and not 'Eddie'?" He asked her back in return.
Gillian smiled sweetly as she watched Edison walked over to her. He seated himself on the arm of her comfortable black chair and wrapped his arm around her shoulders. He gave her a quick kiss on her rosy warm cheek. "So, what is my Lo Po Jei doing?"
She signed, "Just another project." She turned to look at him and wrapped her arms around his neck as his arm slipped down to her slim waist. "So, why are you here. Are you skipping school again, Mister?"
She looked at Ed with a suspicious look, yet sweet. "I don't know," he shrugged.
"Fine!" Gillian unwrapped her arms around his neck and pulled her chair closer to her desk, causing Edison to stumble. Edison laid his head on her shoulder, but was rewarded with a playful smack from Gillian.
Once again, Edison wrapped his arms around her waist and laid his head on her shoulder again. She simply ignored him this time and continued to draw out the outline for her project.
"I wasn't skiping school," Ed began to defend himself in a whining tone. "Today is a minimum day for the kids. So, why stay behind when everyone left?"
Gillian's shoulders began to shake a little as she tried hard not to giggle. Edison peeked at Gillian, wondering what was wrong with her. She burst into laughters when she saw Edison's worried face.
"So, someone's been naughty and playing tricks on the teacher," Ed curved into a smile. "I guess she doesn't want to have lunch with me after all."
He was half way to the door when Gill called out, "Ed!" He turned around and put his hands on his waist, pretending to be mad at her. "What do you want now, Ms. Chung Yan Tung?"
Looking at him with puppy eyes, she pouted, "But you can't possibly do this to me." Gillian got up and walked over to Edison. "If you don't have lunch with me, then I will only grab a cup noodle for lunch 'cause eating outside by myself makes me feel lonely, and if I..."
Leaning forward, Edison interrupted Gillian's long run sentence by placing a passionate kiss on her lips. Gill responded back as soon as she recovered from the surprise atack and wrapped her arms around his waist.
Ed pulled himself away, "Do you think I will leave my sweetheart all alone when I finally got a chance to have lunch with her on a weekday?"
Gill smiled up sweetly at him and said, "Hold on for one moment. I just need to give this piece a final touch up and I'll be yours for the next hour or two."
"I wish you will be mine forever though," he pouted.
"I will think about it," she smiled.
"Just let me know when you're done 'cause I'm holding on." Gill peeked up from her work and laughed as she saw Ed holding on to the edge of the table.

Edison signed as he locked her office. Gillian's co-worker looked sympatically at him. Joey patted his shoulder. "We're sorry, Ed. Hope Gill will come back soon."
"I'll let her know that you'all are very kind,"Ed tried to smile but the stubborn frown refused to leave.
