She took 3 easy breaths.. and choked back her tears...
She glanced at her ring finger... to see the diamond ring shining from the light... she kissed the ring... and THAT was the time her stinging tears started to fall..
Her body ached from the incident.. but what hurt most do you ask?..
her heart.. her heart felt so bad.. so broken.. so hurt..
She bit her knuckle to stop her cries...
She closed her eyes as more and more tears fell slowly down her cheek.. no one could get him back.. NO ONE.
he was gone.. and that was it.
Valentines.. was nothing anymore..
March 10.. meant nothing to her anymore..
No matter what.. he would be forever in her heart.. and she was NEVER going to move on.
She opened her eyes once again.. alarmed at all the sudden people rushing into her room...
"KIM!? OKAY KA BA!? MY GOD! ANO NANGYARI!?"
"...i'll leave the both of you alone..."
Mrs Chiu said as she dragged her feet towards the hospital room door and sat herself down on the chair outside...
Kim sighed a deep breath as her tear stains were clear down her red rosy cheeks, that now had scratches and bruises...
"his gone.. his dead... gone forever!! his not coming back!"
Her best frined.. slowly walked towards her.. and put an arm around the crying Kim..
"tahan na.. kimmy.. explain.. what happend..."
Kim pulled away as she closed her eyes again and felt herself get weaker just thinking about the incident...
"The Last Time I Saw Him.."
She narrated rather weakly..
"He was in the car with me... driving me somewhere for a date...we stopped at a rather nice place...we ate.. danced.. laughed.. had fun...all the works.. he stopped in the middle of the dancefloor.. bent down on one knee.."
Tears slowly fell.. and you could soon hear her small cries and whimpers..
"oh god.. he proposed..."
Her friend was in awe...
Enchong was such a gentleman... so nice.. so calm... so patient..
"...he beamed at me.. his smiling face.. as he asked ever so lovingly..will you marry me my baby?..soon tears had escaped my eyes.. i accepted and jumped into his arms as soon as he stood up...that night.. we shared something special.. oh god.. i loved him so much...he planned for us on Valentines Day to fly to Australia for a nice holiday.."
Kim continued... as her whimpers soon became clearer and louder..
"we were so excited for our trip...he drove us to the airport at 6am.. and we took the plane to Australia.. we hired a car once we arrived and he beamed at me as he held my hand as we drove our way towards the country area...it was getting late.. we stopped on the side of the road... to take a power nap...while we slept.. i smelt something horrible... something like smoke... i opened my eyes to realise a bushfire had started right next to where we had parked...i started coughing.. and.. and.."
she said as she took a deep breath.. she couldnt continue.. she couldnt...
"..im sorry best.. i can't continue... i just cant.."
she cried...
Her best friend hugged her tightly..
"well, you'll always have me..."
"mm.."
Kim mumbled..
Her best friend pulled away.. and sat next to her as they held her hand...
"...can you keep going? or do you need to stop..?"
Kim closed her eyes at the pain she felt on her body and in her heart...
"...i can continue..."
"...i tried waking Enchong up.. i started screaming as i felt the metal softly melting...i ran out of the car to Enchong's side and tried shaking him to wake up.. i screamed as much as i could and as loud as i could...he wouldnt wake up.. i ran down the road as i saw a building near by.. by the time i got back with help...he was already gone..i thought the hospital could revive him...but...but..his gone..."
she cried harder as she repeated her sentence..
"...that was the last time i saw him..."
