"Left and then right." Xiaoyou answered.
"So is it that building over there?" Ximen asked as the blue apartment building in front of them looked vaguly like how Xiaoyou describe it as.
"Yes, that's the one. Thanks for the ride Ximen!" Xiaoyou said with her sunshine smile. "Would you like to come upstairs to have a cup of coffee since the one you were planning on having is currently on my blouse?"
Ximen's mind raced, he actually had to finish signing some papers back in his office.
"Yeah ok, if you don't mind." Ximen's heart took the best of him.
------------------------------------------------------------
Ximen sat down on Xiaoyou comfy couch with Xiaoyou beside him each holding a mug of warm coffee.
"The coffee I make are nothin compared to the ones they sell in Cafes!" Xiaoyou warned Ximen before he took a sip.
"Well the coffee shops in Canada must make the best coffee in the world because what you made is delicious!" Ximen told Xiaoyou when he touched the coffee with his lips. "I neve knew you also drank black coffee?"
"Actually, it was you who go me into it. Remember I was at your house a couple of years ago and you made me black coffee. I didn't really liked it at the time but you made me realise really how good it tastes." Xiaoyou told Ximen as these memories flashed past her mind.
"You still remember these things." Ximen said with a nervous laugh. "Do you live by yourself?"
"No, I live with my best friend Sarah. I think she's still at school at the moment." Xiaoyou said as she looked around for Sarah.
"Ummm...why did you go into the city today if you lived here. It's a half an hour drive from there to here. It's the same if you went from your school." Ximen asked curiously.
"I was planning on going to get something to eat in a french cafe near where we bumped into each other. I went there with my friends when it first opened and enjoyed their coffee so I thought I'd go again today." Xiaoyou said.
"Do you mean Lemon Grass Cafe?" Ximen asked as the only french cafe he knew of was the one he went to everyday.
"Yeah, i think that's what it's called, do you go there too?" Xiaoyou asked wondering why Ximen knew the name of the Cafe.
"Well, since it's close to make office, I often grab a coffee from there, In fact, the coffee I dumped on you blouse was from there." Ximen said, thinking if Xiaoyou knew the Asian girl that he saw the first time he went there. "Do you go there often?"
"I think I've been there a few times, why do you ask?" Xiaoyou asked wondering why Ximen suddenly took an interest in what Cafe she went to.
"The first time I went there, I saw an Asian girl. I wasn't able to see her face because her back was to me and somehow a special feeling fell on me when I thought about her. She was with five or six other girls." Ximen said hoping XY would know something about that girl.
"From what I know, not many Asian people live around there especailly young girls." Xiaoyou told Ximen her understanding of Canada.
Ring Ring
"Excuse Me.' Ximen excused himself from XY as his cellphone rang and walked away to a corner.
"Hello this is Ximen speaking, how may I help you?"
"Manager, when are you coming back into the office?" Secretary Xu's voice rang through Ximen's cellphone.
"Sorry, I met an old friend and is currently having coffee with her."
"But the documents have to be review over by you personally and signed before the end of today." Secretary Xu said worryly."
"Are you sure we can't hand those documents tomorrow afternoon?"
"Mr Smith said he needed them by tonight. I'm sorry Manager.
Ximen cursed Smith for making his social life so tight.
"Alright, I'll be back at the office as soon as possible." Ximen closed the lid of his cellphone and went back to Xiaoyou who was still sipping coffee.
"I'm so sorry Xiaoyou but the office needs me now so I have to go." Ximen told Xiaoyou who tried to hide a hint of sadness.
"It's okay Ximen, work comes first. Besides, we already had a long chat. It was nice meeting you again." Xiaoyou told Ximen.
"It was nice to meet you again too." Ximen replied.
"Why don't I give you my cellphone number so you can call me and one day we can meet up again. You may even want to meet my friends." Xiaoyou said hoping to be seeing Ximen again soon.
"That sounds like a brillant idea. We have heaps to catch up with." Ximen said as he took the piece of paper Xiaoyou gave him with her number on it.
------------------------------------------------------------
Ximen walked back into his car and drove of in the direction of his office. Xiaoyou looked out of her bedroom window as Ximen's car drove away beyond her sight...
------------------------------------------------------------
Ximen opened the door of his convertable and walked outside when he fianly arrived back at his office. Before he was able to close the door, a strong wind blew past and nearly blew Ximen over. When Ximen steadied himself again, he closed and locked his car door. Unknown to him, the piece of paper with Xiaoyou's number on it had blown away. Far, far away...
