Chapter 3

"Raymond Lam! I thought we were meeting at 10. What time is it now?" Nancy asked in anger.
"Oh, I had some family problems. Sorry. I didn't mean to. I won't next time. I.."Raymond stopped as he saw Nancy's face start to change.
"Hehe, I was only kidding." Nancy said with a smile on her face. "I never knew you were so gullible."
"Whew, don't scare me next time. I can't handle this." Ray said as he wiped his sweats off his forehead.

They were at the annual fair. Children were with their parents. Couples were holding hands. All was good.

Nancy grabbed Raymond by the arms, and started to pull him to the direction of the roller coaster.
"You know what time it is? Roller Coaster time. I love this. I go here every year. You think I would get sick of it. But I really don't." she said as she was running towards the roller coaster.

"But I...I never rode on it. I'm too scared. Any other rides?" Raymond asked with a scared look on his face.
"Nope, I'm the leader for today. Gotta do what I say...Now come on." She dragged Raymond to the ticket booth.

They purchased two tickets, and gave it to the ticket man. She sat on the front and Raymond sat beside her.
"Of all the seats to pick. You pick the one at the front?"Raymond was terrified.
"It's the best. You'll see." Nancy screamed with excitement.

Everyone were in their seats, as the roller coaster started to move . It gained speed. It went faster, and faster. It went uphill, then downhill. Nancy's hair was covering her face as the wind picked up. Raymond didn't scream except he had his mouth open. Uphill, the downhill, then lastly one last circle. Whoosh. The ride started to slow down, as they ended where they began.

"Whew that was fun. Wanna go again?"Nancy asked.
Raymond didn't say anything, but only had his mouth open. "I...I...no...more..." Raymond tried to get the words out of his mouth.
"Fine! Its like you don't get out much. Next, Bumper Cars."Nancy exclaimed.
"Oh, no."Raymond said.

Nancy once again pulled his arms towards the bumper cars.They sat on different cars. Nancy chose a light blue, while Raymond sat on a hot red car.
"Ready, GO!!"said the guy with the microphone.

Nancy immediately aimed at Raymond, as she stepped on the pedal, and drove towards Raymond.
"Oh no you don't." Raymond drove faster towards Nancy as they bumped to each other.
"Ouch, that hurts." Nancy said in a sad face.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. I thought it was just a game."Raymond said as he tried to explain himself.
Without a clue, Nancy stepped on her pedal and drove towards Ray once again. "Gotcha'" Nancy started to laugh loudly.
"So this is how the game is played." He bumped into Nancy again, and again, and again, until the game was finally over.
"Whew that was fun."Nancy said.
"Guess I learned something today."raymond said.
"What?"
"Never to trust girls. They are so vicious." Raymond said with a smile.
"Haha, you got that right."Nancy started to laugh.

Just then Raymond's phone started to ring.
"Hello?" Raymond picked it up.
"It's mom. Something happened. Get back home now!"She exclaimed.

Raymond had a worried look on his face as he look towards Nancy.
"Sorry, gotta go. Family problems." Raymond explained.
"Is everything ok?" She asked.
"Yeah, just fine." Raymond said as he started to walk off the opposite direction.
"See ya!" Nancy yelled.

Nancy was thinking and walking at the same time. 'Something about Raymond didn't look right' she thought. she was deep into thought when she ran into someone.
"oops, I'm really sorry." she said as she looked up.
"Ron?" she asked. "Is that you?"
"Do i know you?" Ron asked with confusion.
"We have the same class together at Berks College. remember?" she said hoping that he would remember.
"O, yea. You're the smart pretty girl." he said with a smile.
Nancy's face started to turn red. "hehe, Thanks. So what are you doing around here?" she asked looking down at her shoes.
"O, I'm just bored, so I was just walking around." Ron said as he noticed that she was feeling awkward. "Are you ok?"
"O, yea, I'm fine. You mind if I join you? I'm bored also." Nancy asked
"of course." he said with a smile.

They were walking for a long time, when he stopped in front of a poster.
"Wow, she's pretty." Nancy said noticing that he was staring at the poster.
"That's my mom." He said in a shameful voice.
"Your mom is a model? Wow you must feel really honored to be a model's son." she said with excitement.
"Not if she neglects you your whole life." He said as he walked off.
