“I’ll be happy dieing with you by my side.” Leila stuttered in short breaths.
“Don’t say that Lei, we’re not going to die.”
She stroked his soft warm cheek, a peaceful smile curved her tiny lips.
“Hey is anybody in there.” An unfamiliar voice boomed through the cackling fire. His yellow jacket blinded Bosco’s eyes. “Here, help us please, we’re over here.” Bosco used all his strength to shout at the top of his lungs.
The white light blinded Bosco’s eyes once they were rescued. Leila coughed hectically as her lungs were trying to accommodate the fresh air. His heart clenched each time he saw her petite body shake as she coughed. As Bosco watched the angel before his eyes, her figure began to get fuzzy, soon enough he couldn’t make out Leila as he collapsed to the floor.

Leila’s eyes fluttered open slowly, she tilted her head to look at the unfamiliar surroundings.
“You’re finally awake.” Ron’s voice immediately caused her to tilt her head in his direction.
“Where am I?”
“You’re in the hospital Leila.” Ron squeezed her tiny hand.
“Where’s Bosco? Where’s Bosco? How is he doing? Is he awake yet? Ron is Bosco in danger?” Leila’s eyes welled up with tears. “Where is he? I have to go see him.” Her voice was frantic and worried.
Ron gave Leila a weak smile. “Bosco is resting in the room down the hall. He just got out of the intensive care safely. The doctors say that he still needs a few days of rest for his lungs to readjust to the air because he inhaled too much smoke.” As he looked at the tears rolling down her pale cheek, an empty feeling filled his insides.
“I have to go see Bosco.” Leila began sitting up on the bed.
“Lei don’t move, the doctor says that you still need some rest.” Ron tried lowering Leila back onto the bed but she resisted.
“But…”
“Stop it Leila!” Ron quickly wrapped his arms around her fragile body. “Stop it! I can’t lose you like I almost did. I don’t want to lose you. I need you to walk beside me in my path. I need you to hold my hand and never let go because I don’t want to see that day. Leila let’s get married.”
The room filled with silence.

“Dad where are we going?” Tavia screamed as she tried to pull back Mr. Yeung.
“We’re going to the Lam family to have them take responsibility.”
“No dad, don’t. please” Tavia tugged on her father’s sleeve.
“Well why didn’t he think of the consequences before then? He has to take responsibility.”
The Yeung family appeared in front of the Lam’s mansion gate. “Let us in! “Let us in to see Raymond Lam.” Mr. Yeung hit and kicked the metal gate. “Let us in to see fucken Raymond Lam.”
“Dad please.” Tavia pleaded holding onto his arm, however he pushed her away forcefully. Carelessly Tavia stepped on her shoe lace and tripped. A pain shot through her abdomen.
“My s- stomach.” Tavia clutched her stomach.
“What’s all this racket?” Jessica said making way to the gate. She looked at the figure on the ground and gasped once she saw it was Tavia.
“T-Tavia what’s wrong?” Jessica asked stepping out of the gate. She knelt down beside Tavia.
“P- Please we need to get her to the hospital, she’s pregnant.” Mrs. Yeung cried.
“This is all my fault.” Mr. Yeung dug his fingers into his hair.
