Chapter 9

The Final Judge

The night of Charmaine’s celebration not only brought her relaxation, safety and happiness, but had also brought her terror, disbelief and frustration.
It was organized by Tavia, Myolie and the 3 attractive doctors. The celebration Charmaine had in mind was a barbecue at Ray’s house, with beer, chicken wings, salad, and laughter. But it had turn out to be a party in the Tsim Sa Tsui Pub, with laughter, beer and peanuts, but no chicken wings or salad.
Although it was just the peanuts and the beer that filled her stomach, but it still made it the BEST time of her life. The limitless beer made Charmaine forget anything unhappy and accept the happiness in her mind. But Charmaine had always had a problem with beer ever since she had her first taste of beer. No matter how much beer she drank, she would still be aware of her surroundings, and would still be able to retain information the next day, about what had happened last night.
The amount of beer everyone drank was countless, and everyone except for Charmaine and Ron weren’t very aware on what they were doing.

At 3 o’clock on a Sunday morning, Charmaine and Ron thought it was about time the party ended, but Ray and Tavia continued to compete on who was able to drink the most beer before 3:30. Both of them refused to go, so Ron and Charmaine accepted their decision and took Myolie and Bosco home. When Bosco and Myolie were placed in Ron’s silver Mercedes Benz, Charmaine had 2 plastic bags handy. She placed them in front of Bosco and Myolie in case of an emergency, so they don’t have to do the dirty work. When Ron was about to start up his car, Charmaine noticed that she had left her mobile phone on the table in the pub.

Before she left Ron to retrieve her phone, she told him to take Myolie and Bosco back first, and give her a call when he gets back to the pub. He agreed and told her to be careful while he’s gone and watched Charmaine walk into the pub safely before he delivered his 2 friends home.
As Charmaine walked into the pub, she searched for Ray and Tavia, which she expected them still competing. But it was not what she expected though, it would’ve been the last thing she would have thought of, but it was in her eyes right now.
She saw Ray and Tavia were kissing passionately, but she would never believe that Ray would play with girls. But she now judged Ray on what she has seen with her own eyes.
