Chapter 27

visiting anaku

“Seung, I think I should go back home.” I said
“But you just came.” Lisa said, pouting at me.
“I know, but I’ll come and visit you tomorrow. I just need rest for awhile.” The truth was that I was feeling very uneasy, the fact that Youngbae was mad at me. I knew Youngbae love me, but I choose to ignore it. I didn’t love Youngbae the way he loves me. I love him no more then a big brother. (Deep sigh) Youngbae, please forgive me.

After leaving their house, I decided to visit Anaku; I haven’t seen her all day. She promise to come see me at Youngbae house, but she never show up. I wonder why?

(At Anaku house)

The door finally opens. “Uh…hello? Um…is Anaku here?”
“Who are you?” the lady asked.
“Um…I’m Anaku friend, Tina.”
“Oh! What a pleasant surprise! Anaku never invites friends here! I’m Elaine, her mother.” The lady said embracing me. Wow her mom is very sweet.
“So…um is Anaku here?”
“Oh yes! She in her room, but she seem depress. She told me she went to see a friend at her friend house. The one that just came out of the hospital. You know her? Anyway she came back didn’t even say hi to me. And went straight to her room.”
“She came to see me? I didn’t see her.”
“You’re the one she’s talking about?”
I nodded
“Goodness grace! Are you alright?! She told me that you got shot. Are you feeling queasy? Come sit down.”
“No, no, I’m fine. Um…can I go see her?”
“Yes, of course. She must be dying to see you. She had been worried sick about you.”
“Thanks Mrs. Elaine.”
“No problem, please call me Auntie.”
“Ok. Thanks Auntie Elaine.”
“That’s a good girl. Now run along.”
I walked up the stairs to go see Anaku, did she really went to see me? Why didn’t see go inside?
“Um…Anaku?”
“Oh! Tina! Wha- what are you doing here?” she look as if she been crying.
“Anaku! Were you crying? What happen? Are you alright?”
“I’m fine.” She said clearing her throat.
“You’re sure?”
“Yea. So what brought you here?” she asked.
“Um…I was wondering why you didn’t go see me like you promise. I thought something might have happen to you.” I said worriedly.
“No silly, nothing happen. I just- uh…I just had something else in mind and I decided to go see you tomorrow, well yea, that what happen.” She said. Somehow I couldn’t believe her, she was hiding something I knew it, but what?
“Um…Tina, can you come by tomorrow? Or I can go see you tomorrow don’t matter. I just need to think over stuff, I’m sorry but it very important.”
“No, it koo. I’ll come by tomorrow, if not just meet me at Youngbae place.”
“Ok.”
“Iight then bye”

(Anaku P.O.V)

I watch her leave, and then I locked the door behind her, tears start pouring once more. Why did Youngbae do this to me? It because of Tina! No! No, I can’t blame it on her, she my friend. It not her fault that Youngbae love her. It’s my fault I should have never pressure him. How can I face them? Anaku you’re such a wreck! I love him, but he doesn’t love me, he hurt me! Why can’t I be mad at him?! Why…why do I love you Youngbae? Why…
