“I know, Leila just calls me, and she asks me to wait for her.” I told her
Tavia nodded and stepped aside, “Come in,”
“Not going out?” I asked
“The case will appeal on Monday. I want to read some more documents.” She told me while closing the door.
“Bosco is lucky to have you working with him.” I said
She came to the kitchen, and I sat down on the sofa, “I think he is the one who has most pressure. Beginning when this case takes place, many opinions, many thought have public in the magazine. If he could not win this case or if he could get the best result, I think he will get trouble.” She said
“Win or loose is normal; as a lawyer when we receive any case, we already know there will be only two outcomes.” I said
“I’m not talking about the public opinion. I’m talking about him. Bosco was too emotion when he handled this case.” She said and walked out. She put the cup of coffee in front of me.
I looked at her cup and smelled tea scent, “You like tea?” I asked
“Yup” She nodded
I looked at my coffee, “Why don’t you give me tea?” I asked again
She smiled, “I like tea, but you are not. You like coffee’s smell.”
“How do you know?” I asked
Tavia’s eyes were traveled, “Leila told me.”
I knew she was laid. I never told Leila I liked coffee’s smell.
Leila opened the door and walked in. Tavia stood up and leaned up the document on the table, “I’m free.” She said and got in her room.
Leila put her bag down and smiled with me, “Did you eat anything yet?” she asked me
“I just have dinner with Sammul. What’s about you?” I asked
“I did before I get home.” Leila told me
I grasped the coffee cup, smelled it and tasted it. Coffee reminded me of something, but I could not tell what it was. Seeing my weird reaction toward the coffee, “What’s wrong with the coffee?” Leila asked while coming to the kitchen to get some water.
“Coffee is good.” I said
“What’s a weird thing? Yeung Yi doesn’t like to drink coffee that much, but she always bought coffee.”
Leila’s sentence reminded me of Boso’s statement, “You are the most weirdoes that I’ve ever known. You never drink tea but always buy tea.” At that time, I only thought maybe my father loved to drink tea, so I loved to buy tea. However, Leila’s sentence seemed telling me something.
Tavia got out of her room and carried her purse, “Where are you going this late?” Leila asked
“Don’t want to face with guys.” Tavia said
“Way…” Leila yelled
Tavia smiled, “My brother called me; he was busy and could not get home tonight. He asked me to come over and buy some food for my father.”
“Are you coming back?” Leila asked
“I don’t have that much chance to stay overnight at my boyfriend’s house. I think tonight it will be a good opportunity.” Tavia opened the door and got out
Leila smiled and shook her head, “This girl always likes that.” Leila said and sat down next to me
Closing the door, Tavia pulled her hair, and tears felt down.
I looked at Leila, “My mom just called me; I have to go home and get some stuffs for her.”
“Ok”
Leila led me to the front door, “Call me when you get home.”
“Umm…”, I nodded, “Are you sure you are ok alone?” I asked her
Leila smiled, “This is a safety place.”
I smiled and pulled her hair, “If something happened, call me.”
“Ok” Leila nodded
We came closer and almost kiss, but I quickly leaned to her right and kissed on her cheek, “Good night” I said and left

I was walking in a quiet night, thinking of everything happened to me. I knew it was not just coincident. There might be something had happened to me and Yeung Yi in the past. I loved to see her more than to see Leila. She knew what I wanted than I did. Trying to stop those unclear thought, I looked around to see where I was. I found a coffee shop on my left. I stood there and waited for the walking light. I could not believe in my eyes, I saw Tavia entering to that coffee shop. I quickly ran across the street without waiting for the light. “Yeung Yi,” I called her
Hearing someone’s voice, she turned back. Seeing me, she was surprising, “Why are you here?” She asked me
I smiled, “Tell me a good reason why I could not stay here.”
Tavia threw her shoulder, “Just asking,”
“Do you mind to have a cup of coffee with me?” I asked
“Ok,” She nodded and we entered the shop.
We chose the table in the end of the corner. When the waitress came, I looked at Tavia, “Order something for me, I answer the phone.”
“Ok”
“I felt a little hungry, please order some dessert, so we could share.” I said
“Umm…” She nodded
I stood up and left. I came to the other side, got my phone and pretended talking on the phone. I got a tissue and wrote down the things I predicted she would order.
For dessert (two brownies with hot cameral on top and two cherries)
For her drink (peppermint green tea with three slices of lime)
For my drink (white chocolate with three mocha shot)
I folded the tissue and put it in my pocket. I got back to her place, “Sorry,” I told her
“I already order; if you told me you have to leave, I will kill you.” She joked
“I don’t want to be in jail. If I fool his daughter, Mr. Judge will put me in jail.”
Tavia smiled, “It’s such a beautiful night.” I said
“It depends on who you are going with.”
“You are saying like I am not good enough to go out with you.” I said
She smiled, “Well…, if I try to ignore your ugly face, your bad behavior, your…” she joked and looked at me; she laughed, “your ugly smile, you are not that bad.”
We were laughing; waitress got out with a tray in her hand. She placed the peppermint tea down in front of Tavia, and the white chocolate mocha in front of me, “And, this is two brownies with cameral on top and two cherries.” She said and placed the dish down the middle.
I smiled and grasped the fork handed Tavia, “Thanks” Tavia bowed
I moved two cherries to her side. She smiled, “You always like that.” She said
I smiled; I did not like cherry, but I knew she liked it. She always tried not to accept that we knew each other before. However, anything that I liked or disliked, she knew clearly.
