Ring Ring…… ( Shancai’s hp)
Shancai: WHAT! They are in critical condition???? I will come right over..
Shancai/ Si: Shancai/ Ah Si, I need to rush to the hostpital
Si and Shancai looked in bewilderment..
Si; My mum just passed away becoz of cancer………
Shancai: My parents met an accident, in critical condition now………..
Without much comments, they sped off to the hospital, in fact their journey took only half an hour when the normal one took 1 and half hrs… Then they sped off to their parents wards…
Si’s side
Si bursts into the room, pushing away F3 who was already there… And he pauses there, seeing her mother’s body covered by white cloth…………
Si ( opening the cloth): Mum………
Although DMS and his mum have never been close, they are mother and son after all, therefore Si felt hurt too…
Meizuo: Ah Si……..
Ximen: I will say it! You mum died from breast cancer.. It was the 4th stage when she knew it..
Si(not looking at Ximen): Thanks for the info
Lei: Don’t grieve, u have your mother’s funeral to take care of..
Si: I will…….
At Shancai’s side
Shancai burst in the room the same way Si did…
Shancai: Ma, Pa….
Doc: You are their daughter?
Shancai nodded and the doc comtinued: You dad had been pronounced dead…
Shancai nooded as tears filled her eyes
Shancai’s mum(weakly): Shancai……..
Shancai: Ma…
Shancai’s mum: Take care of yourself okay? Oh ya… Dao Ming Fu Ren wanted you to marry into their family… Therefore, I……….
But she could never finish her last sentence….. And Shancai knew what was the last sentence
She said motionless by her mum and dad ( they were in the same room) and sobbed……..
Shancai’s POV:
I know one day they will leave me….. But not this fast… I haven’t got married yet.. I haven’t have any child yet.. Mum, Dad.. I want you back….
Shancai stayed in her parents ward for the night……….
The Next Morning……
Shancai went over to Feng’s ward…… And she saw F4 and the dead Feng…..
Shancai was momentarily shocked, then she made a shocking action.. She kneeled down , in front of F4 and Feng’s bed………
Si: What are you doing?
Shancai(to Si): Slap me…..
Si ( very shocked): Why?
Shancai: I caused your mom’s death…….
Ximen( can’t stand all the bu ming bu bai): What! She died of breast cancer, what has it got to do with you? U better explain and where were you all night…. U should be by Si’s side when he is so upset…
Si: You don’t the RIGHT to reprimand her!
Shancai(softly, but loud enough for F4 to hear): My parents passed away last night, both of them..
F4 was utterly shocked……..
Shancai (continuing frm juz now): She donated her kidney to me……. I shouldn’t have took it… Why did I take it??
( To Si): Come On………. Slap me…… I caused ur mum to die….. if I never took the kidney, she might be able to live!!!
Si looked at Shancai, he didn’t know what to say…..
Si: hao chao.. all you get LOST!
Shancai got up of her knees and went off.. Following behind her was F3
Si’s POV:
Why must she always blame herself for all that happened… Last time it was like that ( recall MG 1 where Shancai went to the yu chun..) Sometimes it is not her fault at all! My mum had already been dignosed with cancer and no one knows it.. Therefore she carried no fault…… Not at all…….
But…if she didn’t take the kidney.. But she didn’t know………..
Voice: Ah Si, shi wo..
Si: Jing?
Jing: Ya…
Si: when did you come back..
Jing: Juz touched down… Are u feeling okay?
Si: Dunno..
Jing: I have got something to tell you……..
Then she paused, waiting for Si’s reply..
Jing: I knew what happened.. And I know what you are feeling right now.. You don’t know whether to blame Shancai or not… or worse still whether to continue with her…. I want to say is that…. She is one of ur mum’s “killer” but she didn’t mean it…. She is already blaming herself like crazy. But if you think that you are not going to 4get this incident forever, pls break up with Shancai.. I don’t want to see her get hurt anymore…………
( Author’s Note: Lei and Jing have been writing letters to keep each other know of what’s happening.. And Jing is not married yet.. Her heart is still with Lei….)
Jing: I got to go…… I will be staying at Maple Hotel…
Scene 33 Outside the ward
A nurse comes into the scene and she asked Shancai: Are u Ms Shancai.?
Shancai: Yes I am, is there anything wrong
Nurse: The decreased Mrs Dao Ming wanted me to pass you a letter..
Shancai opens the letter hastily… And she cried… Yes, she cried for Dao Ming Feng, her once enemy….
The letter said:
