“Do you own the road? Can’t I go here?” Yunho jokingly said.
“Aish! You’re such a nonsense!”
“I think I should be the one to ask you a question. Why are you talking to yourself?”
“Who cares anyways if I talk to myself…?~”
“Me~”
“Yeah~ whatever.~”
“You’re the one who’s nonsense~! Anyways, for your information, I’m on my way home and then I saw that you seem so familiar so I came here nearer to see if it’s you and good thing I didn’t waste my time figuring it out.”
“What the heck~”
“So tell me why are you talking to yourself and what is it all about?! I’m so dead curious! That imaginary friend of yours is so lucky, he’s able to talk to you like that, and while me I can’t.”
“So?”
“You look so odd and like retarded yesterday. You look so so tensed!”
“That’s what Tiffany also told me. Can’t deny you two are really cousins. I look so stupid yesterday. Mianhae.”
“So why are you like that?”
“It’s so idiot and stupid to think but…”
“But?”
“Aish! What am I saying?!” Jae thought. He’s on the edge of telling Yunho that he dreamed of him.
“What are you gonna say? You started it! End it nicely!”
“I don’t like!”
“What the~?”
“You know my friend, don’t mind who he is, he confessed that he has a boyfriend and that they’re happy. I’m happy for them but I’m just shock because it’s really unexpected.”
“What’s new with that?”
“You’re not shock?”
“Unexpected. That’s the keyword. You know, in this time, many things can happen in just a snap of a finger. Everything can be unexpected or either shocking. In this type of day, that kind of love is accepted, even though not for whole, our generation is just liberated as it is and many people are open-minded in this kind of things, even though not all can understand, at least there are some right?”
“That’s also what I think, anything can happen in this generation, you just expanded the whole idea.”
“Jae didn’t notice that he’s slightly comfortable talking with Yunho. He’s not getting that anxious anymore.
“Oh yeah~ you’re comfortably talking to me! I’m so happy!”
“Eh~?”
“Give me your hand.” Yunho ordered.
“Why?” Jae’s on the edge of panicking again.
“Don’t be silly! Just give it!” And Yunho placed a small piece of paper on Jae’s hand.
“And what’s this?” Jae looked at the paper, and something’s written on it, Yunho’s contact number.
“When I saw you earlier, I thought that this can be a good chance to know you more. So I prepared a little something for you so we can talk more. Don’t forget to write those numbers in your phone.”
“Huh?”
“Bye~” Yunho messed up Jae’s hair and walked away.
“Oh what does he want?” Jae thought. He almost forgot that he’d ask something to Yunho. And so, he followed Yunho’s steps.
“Can’t get reed of me?” Yunho joked.
“Babo! I want to ask you something.”
“What is it?”
“Yunho sshi, Tiffany told me you want to talk to me personally and that you’re interested in me. Is that on purpose? Why?”
“You’ll later know.” And Yunho left.
“Oh what the f!” Jae thought. “I guess I should better go home. This is another hideous day for me. People are so weird.”
Jae’s already inside his room and he didn’t notice that his phone has an unread message. It’s from Tiffany. “And what could it be?” Jae thought. It read, “Let’s see each other. Don’t call back. Let’s just see each other.” That’s the message stated in Jae’s phone. “This is not good. This is the first time she texted me like this. What’s going on? I’m feeling something strange now.” Jae tremblingly thought. And so he proceeded to the meeting place that Tiffany stated immediately. He’s nervous on what’s happening even though he doesn’t know what gonna happen. “I hope everything’s fine.” Jae sighed while walking along the streets. In no time, he was already in the meeting place.
“Tiffany!” Jae shouted to attract the attention of Tiffany.
Tiffany’s face is no good. It’s sad like ever. It’s the first time Jae felt this kinda awkwardness and worriedness while seeing Tiffany in that kind of state.
“What’s going on? You seem so bad.” Jae started.
“Oppa~” Tiffany’s trembling voice said.
“What’s going on? Tell me! I’m getting nervous with that kind of expression of yours. Please speak up!”
“I think, it’s not going to work anymore~”
“Huh? What are you talking about? Not going to work? What?”
A dead silence was formed in the both of them. Jae can’t literally get it, or maybe he’s just trying not to get it…
“Tiffany~ speak up. I can’t get your point totally. Get it straight.”
“It’s our relationship~ Now get it?” Tiffany finally stated.
“Is it a joke? It’s not funny.”
“With this atmosphere you still think it’s a joke?”
“Tiffany~”
“You know what?! That’s what I hate about you! You’re a self-centered childish guy who only thinks about yourself.”
“Tiffany! What are you talking about? You’re not saying that right?!” Jae’s starting to get hurt. He just can’t get it. How come Tiffany became like this? It’s like he even didn’t expect that things like this would come up. They are just a perfect couple.
“Could you just listen up? You know, I regretted falling for you. I should have just listened to my friends. You’re such a loser for me. You didn’t actually reach my standards. I was thinking on how come I let someone like you to be my boyfriend. Everything’s not going right. I lose my friends because of you. For only you Jae…”
“Tiffany~ stop it. I’ve heard enough of everything. I’m still happy to learn that you loved me, but regretting it. I just can’t take what’s happening, what you’re saying. You know, what’s worse is that I never expected it would come out from your mouth. I guess I shouldn’t expect this much. I should have just wake up to reality, that there can be no love story like Cinderella, that one day you’re going to break up with me because I’m such a sore loser that can’t be matched with a girl like you. Thank you for the time loving me. Thank you for making me happy for those two years. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to dream that love can be as endless like this. Thank you for making me believe that you loved me. Thank you for all your effort being with me. You know I’m so hurt.” And Jae walked away.
“Oppa~” Tiffany’s tears just won’t stop dripping. She then followed Jae.
“Just leave me alone. Don’t go near me. Just let me be. Don’t follow me. Don’t even look at me or talk to me. I’m setting you free.”
“Oppa~ Mianhae.” Tiffany whispered to herself.
“I’m hurt. I’m terribly hurt.” Jae’s tears soon dropped. “I kept believing that we can last forever. I kept believing that she loves me so truly. What have I done? I can’t understand. I’m just hurt. I can’t take it.”
“I just can’t take this. I can’t take seeing him crying. I can’t take all the words I told him before. If he only knew that it’s all the opposite. I promised him we won’t leave each other side. Why did I ever let this happen? I’m feeling so miserable by now.” Tiffany’s on her knees now. Her tears kept dropping on the ground.
Jae’s out of his mind right now. Especially learning that him and Tiffany just called it quits. “Where will I go? I just see only her. Why have I love her so much? Why am I suffering all this consequences? I’m so messed up! I’ve been so truthful and faithful to her. God give me an answer!”
“Hey Jae!” Yunho called.
“Wah~ I kept bumping on you these days.” Jae immediately wiped his tears.
“Isn’t that great?” Yunho tried to joke.
“I’m not in your jokes. Just leave me alone.”
“You’re crying?” Unexpectedly, a small smile drew on Yunho’s face. But why?
