When Hankyung got home later that night, he saw Siwon lifting his daughter up and down, while the baby screamed with enjoyment. Hankyung can’t help but feel jealous. He was used to be the one doing that.
“Oh, hyung, you’re home” Siwon said. He approached Hankyung. “Eunmi-ah, give your dad a kiss, won’t you?” He said to Eunmi. Siwon went closer for Eunmi to reach Hankyung, as the baby gave him a wet kiss on the cheek.
“Yah, that’s not a kiss, it’s pure saliva transfer.” Siwon said. Hankyung laughed, but only half-heartedly.
As he motioned to go to the kitchen to cook dinner, Siwon said “Hyung, no need to cook, I microwaved leftovers from lunch..I wasn’t that hungry a while ago anyway…”
‘He really doesn’t need me anymore.’ Hankyung thought.
“Siwon…We need to talk…” Hankyung said.
Siwon’s eyebrows rode up. “Oh. Why hyung?”
“I-I’ll tell you later.”
After a few moments, dinner was ready, Eunmi was now in her crib watching the Teletubbies DVD Hankyung bought.
“Now, what do we need to talk about?” Siwon said.
“Well…I just thought of it…I might leave soon.” Hankyung said sadly.
It was a while before Siwon could register anything. “What?”
“Um..Well…I just thought that maybe it’s time to leave for me.”
“No!” Siwon said, alarmed. Hankyung looked surprised at his reaction. “Sorry..But why?”
“ I just think that you could manage on your own already”
Hankyung was saying without taking his eyes off the Hokkien noodles he cooked the morning already.
“No…Hyung…I-I can’t manage!” Siwon said. Hankyung laughed.
“What?” Siwon said.
“Yes, you can Siwon.”
“Bu-but..” Siwon looked like a kid pleading his mom.
“But…please stay…” There was sadness in his eyes. The two just stared at each other’s eyes for a moment.
“Look, Siwon, you can manage on your own, Eunmi’s alright with you, and besides, it’s been a month I’ve been living here, and I won’t pay rent?”
“Hyung…But..It’s alright for you to not pay
rent…Please…just stay…”
Hankyung considered for a while. “I don’t know…I mean…My pride’s too big to accept that offer.”
“But won’t you miss Eunmi?” Siwon said. What he really wanted to say was ‘Won’t you miss me?’. Siwon was pleading him to stay because he felt that Hankyung was the one who’s responsible for the ‘new’ Siwon, and if Hankyung would leave, he would feel empty and meaningless again. It might have been just a month, but Siwon appreciated Hankyung that much already.
“I will…But…”
“But what?”
“I don’t know…It just feels wrong…”
“What’s wrong?”
“I-Look Siwon, I don’t know, I’ll think about it.” Hankyung said and the rest of dinner was spent quietly.

Hankyung’s big fault was why he didn’t ask Siwon why he wanted him to stay so badly. Now, he was wondering why.
Siwon himself didn’t know why he wanted Hankyung to stay badly. All he knew was that if the Chinese man left, his life would be back to emptiness. The days with Hankyung were pure delights to him, and made him happy, as if someone just completed him, even if he couldn’t admit to himself. Was it love? No, Siwon didn’t think so. But how could he know, if he hasn’t loved before?
‘Maybe he likes me.’ Hankyung thought.
‘There you go again Hankyung. Stop it.’
‘But it’s possible! Didn’t you see the sadness in his eyes?’
‘But that could be because he didn’t know what to do when he’s alone with Eunmi.’
‘Hell. You know full well that he can parent decent enough already. He likes you!’
“Hey.” That deep voice said from behind Hankyung. He jumped at the sound.
“Goodness Siwon, you almost gave me a heart attack.”
They were once again in the balcony. Seoul was like a playground of lights from the 24th floor.
“Sorry…Have you made a decision yet?” Siwon said, moving to stand beside Hankyung.
“Uhm…Well…”
“I will respect your decision if you chose to leave…But…I hope you understand..”
“Understand what?” Suddenly Hankyung’s heartbeat increased.
“Uhm…Well…Hyung…Starting when you moved here…My life just suddenly had more hapiness.” Siwon said softly.
Hankyung was deeply touched. He didn’t reply for a while. He just allowed Siwon to speak.
“I mean…I hope you don’t think of it in another way..”
Siwon continued. “But..I just learned to enjoy life more after you arrived.”
“You’re referring to Eunmi, Siwon.” Hankyung finally said.
“No!.I mean…” Siwon was getting more and more embarrassed. “Yeah, Eunmi also was part of this, but you also helped..”
“I didn’t know I could do that.” Hankyung said.
“Now you know you could” Siwon smiled at him. “Stay.
Please?”
“Oh alright.” Hankyung finally gave in. “But you’re the one who said, I won’t pay rent!”
“Yeah, of course hyung…” Siwon beamed at him. “Come to think of it, we haven’t really made an effort to get to know each other.”
“What ‘we?’ I did you know!”Hankyung said.
“You did?” Siwon said, surprised.
“Well, more like wanted, but you had those stupid rules.”
“You were the one who asked for them!”
“But still…” Hankyung was admiring Seoul’s neon lights.
“Hyung, let’s go out some time.”

followurdestiny-yeah, everyone's getting along with each other better. bout geng, maybe he does feel something, maybe he doesn't, but something will stop him to do something about it. (ooooooohhhh) haha. :))
