The doctor didn’t answer
The nurse who was helping gave Hankyung back the baby. They all sat down, waiting for the doctor’s verdict.
“Mr Han, the baby is suffering from Asthma. It’s very common in babies. It means that the girl’s lungs are very weak, and immediate treatment is required.” The doctor said. Yuri and Ryeowook knelt beside Hankyung, who looked as if the love of his life just left him.
“If not stopped, this could eventually plague the baby’s health for the rest of her life. You see, the polluted air that she has inhaled everyday you brought her to work caused this.”
“What treatment is needed?” Hankyung said miserably.
“You will need an inhaler every time ready. She will also have to take medications. I must warn you, this incident is not far from happening again.”
Hankyung was in the brink of tears as the doctor gave him the medicine’s receipt. The prescribed medicine was far beyond his normal expenses. Not that he’s not prepared to spend more, but he doesn’t know where to get money from.

“I told you, bring the baby to her father.” Yuri said.
They were once again in Hankyung’s small apartment, it was night, and it was also the second day he didn’t go to work. Eunmi was sleeping soundly on the makeshift crib they made on the sofa composed of small pillows and a comforter.
“Yeah, Hankyung. Kangin can’t forever cover for you. He’s only basketball coatch.” Shindong said while eating dukboggi in the corner.
“Hyung, he can’t be that bad, he’s not some member of a mafia or something, he’s just a model.” Ryeowook said.
“JUST a model? Models are supposed to be dumb, perverted and full of themselves Wookie, and he’s heir to Choi Enterprises, OF COURSE he’s bratty.” Said Eunhyuk.
“I’ll give him Eunmi.” Hankyung said.
Everyone turned to look at him, surprised, with Eunhyuk shouting “WHAT?!”
“You’re all right, maybe he’s bratty, but no doubt he can give her a better life than me. I’m a poor man, and I can’t afford to raise a baby even though I would love to.”
“Hyung, michoso? It’s not about the money, it’s about the love you could give?” Eunhyuk said.
“Yes, I’m crazy, but I love Eunmi too much to subject her to a poor life.”
Yuri was touched by Hankyung’s statement and rushed to hug him. She was deeply touched by her bestfriend’s ex boyfriend’s love for a baby that isn’t even his own.
“Oppa, I’m glad that you’ve made that decision.”
“Thanks, but I’m not. I’m gonna miss Eunmi.”
“You know, it amazes me how much love you could give the baby even though it isn’t your own.” Shindong said.
“Well, we all know how hyung can be so loving.” Ryeowook said. He never fails to brighten the mood.
