He couldn’t find Hankyung anywhere.
He had already tried every place he could think Hankyung would come to.
He went to his old apartment, only to be met by the tough girl he remembered from their visit to the restaurant, saying that she didn’t know where he was.
He asked the people in the school, but the female teachers who were preparing for the next semester just asked his autograph.
He also called Mrs Kim, but she only worriedly said that she’ll pray that he’s okay and he’ll find him.
He already has roamed the whole of Kangnam, the district where they lived in. He told himself that he would try the upper bank of the Han River tomorrow.
Every time he leaves all the places he tried, he just felt that Hankyung was going farther and farther away, perhaps to far to come back. And the image of him and Yoona standing at the altar just came closer and closer. He just couldn’t do that, he thought. Yes, he couldn’t because he loathes Yonna beyond passion, but he just couldn’t let Hankyung go. He wanted to be the one who would protect him always, who would make sure that he was alright. He wanted to be that person in Hankyung’s life.
If he just didn’t take advantage of him, then everything would be okay, he thought. If he just had self control the night before, then nothing could have happened. Siwon had convinced himself that it was his fault, that he had disrespected Hankyung by having sex with him while he was drunk.
‘But he asked for it.’ Siwon thought.
‘He was drunk, stupid, he was FUCKING DRUNK!’ Siwon was so confused.
Only one thing was running in his head now.
‘What if he’s hurt?’
Siwon closed his eyes. Images of Hankyung bruised and beat up drifted to his mind. He just forgot the sadness he would feel without him, all that was concerning him was Hankyung’s well being.
He opened his eyes.
He cursed in his head why, of all places, Eunhyuk chose this park to meet up with him. Why this park where he and Hankyung first went out?
Then images of that day, that day which made him so happy, came back to him. Hankyung scolding him for bringing Eunmi to close to the water, then the ice cream stall, and how their mouths became such a mess.
He glanced at Eunmi. She was soundly sleeping in her stroller, all covered up, as it was starting to get cold. He took of his scarf and added it to the numerous blankets that covered his daughter.
A few minutes later he saw the familiar figures of Eunhyuk, Shindong, Ryeowook and Yuri, plus Donghae following. Eunhyuk called him, very angry, demanding him to meet up with them. It was natural for him to be like that, Siwon thought. He already told him that if he does something to Hankyung, he would be the first one to kill him.
“Hyuk, just calm down, okay, don’t go-“ Shindong said as they came closer. Once Eunhyuk saw Siwon sitting on the bench, he ran to him and lifted him by his collar. Siwon expected it. After all, it was his fault.
“WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM?!” Eunhyuk shouted, with so much anger.
Siwon looked into those small eyes filled with anger. He was amazed at how much Eunhyuk loved Hankyung.
“Oppa, just-“ Yuri tried to intervene.
“I SAID, WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM?!” Eunhyuk said, louder.
“I’m sorry...” Siwon said softly.
“WHAT SORRY? TELL ME!!” Eunhyuk punched Siwon’s jaw.
Everyone was shocked. Yuri put her hands on her mouth, Shindong’s eyes widened, Ryeowook gasped. Donghae just closed his eyes and turned around.
Eunhyuk was also surprised. He watched Siwon’s knees give way as he fell to the ground, kneeling.
“He was drunk...” Just then, everyone kept quiet.
“He was drunk when he went home....Earlier there was a misunderstanding...I was supposed to confess to him but Yoona was there...” Siwon’s head was bowed down low. “And she made me kiss her in front of Hankyung...He left, and I tried to find him...But I couldn’t, I called him, searched the vicinitity...But he was nowhere...When he went home I tried to explain, but he only said that I should stop because he knew I was lying, that I loved Yoona...”
“I told him I love him...” Siwon closed his eyes. Everyone was now so sad for him. Ryeowook grabbed Yuri’s arm, as if watching a drama.
“I told him I love him...I was expecting him to just get more angry...But he asked me to show how much I love him to him....He was the one who started it, he was the one who asked for it....”
“Asked for what?” Eunhyuk said, failing in anger, coming out as a sympathetic tone.
“We had sex.” Siwon said. Everyone was more surprised.
“But then...Why did he leave?” Yuri asked.
“I don’t know, I really don’t know...” Siwon said miserably. “Tell me” He looked at everyone. “Did I take advantage of him? Did I disrespect him? Did I do wrong?”
Everyone was struck hard. Choi Siwon, the manly and playboy model, was kneeling on the ground, crying, because Hankyung left him. None of them ever expected that this would happen.
“PLEASE, tell me.” He pleaded. “Did I do wrong? Did I hurt him?”
No one could answer. It was silent for a while, as Siwon cried again to the ground.
“I-I think I know...” Ryeowook said after a while. Everyone turned to look at him. “I think I-I know why he left...Remember when he told us that Yoona went to the apartment while Siwon was away and-“
“SHE DID?! WHEN?! DID SHE DO ANYTHING TO HANKYUNG?!” Siwon demanded.
Ryeowook closed his eyes and took a deep breath. “Siwon-shi, Hankyung didn’t want us to tell you this...But while you were away, in work or something, Yoona, your fiancée, went to visit him....And she told him that she doesn’t want anyone ruining your marriage, and if he continued staying with you, she wouldn’t think twice to do some things to Eunmi.....”
Siwon was rooted to where he was. He was so angry.
“And when I come to think of it....Maybe it also involved us.” Ryeowook said gravely to Eunhyuk and Shindong. “Think, would Yoona just settle with Eunmi? If she’s truly evil, then she’ll do the thingas that would make Hankyung the most hurt....and I think that included us three losing our jobs...”
Eunhyuk and Shindong didn’t speak.
“Hankyung’s a martyr, he takes everything to himself, thinking that it’s all his fault when it’s not. I think he left because he was afraid for Eunmi and us, and he knew he couldn’t stay with you, and much more have sex with him....So he left...” Ryeowook said.
There was silence as Siwon digested everything.
“Why didn’t he tell me?” Siwon said hopelessly, sitting on the bench.
“Why didn’t he tell me? Why?” He had been expecting it. Nonetheless, it really hurt him too, because it just dawned to him that he was hurting Hankyung the whole time, it was really his fault. But at the same time he felt angry, because Hankyung kept it all to himself.
“I-I’m so sorry Siwon-shi....” It was Shindong who spoke. “Let’s just do our best to find him. We all love him, and I know you love him too....Let’s just do what we can do to find him...”
Siwon just closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He really hoped that what Shindong was true.
“Le-let’s just go somewhere warm.” Eunhyuk said shakily.
“It’s getting really cold.”
Everyone agreed, Ryewook volunteering on pushing Eunmi’s stroller.
“Siwon-shi?” Eunhyuk said to the still shocked Siwon.
“Let’s go.”
Siwon sighed, standing up.
Meanwhile, Yuri just noticed that Donghae was gone.
“Guys...I’ll just follow you okay, I’ll just look for Hae, I know he’s here somewhere..” She said.
Ryeowook rolled his eyes.
“At the coffee shop near the pond right?” Yuri asked. Shindong nodded.
With that Yuri left, searching for Donghae amidst the many park trees.
‘Gosh, why would he just disappear like this?’ She thought.
She searched for a while, but she couldn’t find him. After a few minutes, an atrocious smell filled her nose.
‘Cigarette smoke.’ She thought. Yuri really hates cigarettes.
But as she walked with her nose scrunched, she found the source of the smoke, and the person she was looking for.
“Hae?” She called, surprised. She never knew Donghae
smoked. At the same time she was a bit turned off.
Donghae, who was just beside a small stall selling convenience products, looked at her with irritation.
“What?” He asked pointedly.
“Can you stop it, it really annoys me.” She said, pertaining to the cigarette. “Why are you just disappearing like that?”
Donghae rolled his eyes. Yuri was more surprised. “Just leave me alone, Yuri.”
“What?!” She said, shocked. “I’m your girlfriend, and you’re asking me to leave you alone? Gosh, Hae.”
“Yuri, you don’t know how I’m feeling right now, just leave!” He said.
Yuri was scandalized. She scrunched her eyebrows. “Donghae, I don’t know what’s gotten into you, but stop acting like a teenager for goodness sakes. If you have a problem with me, just tell me, and don’t go disappearing like that and damage your lungs.” And with that Yuri stomped off, leaving Donghae alone.
Donghae just groaned.
‘You really don’t know what I’m feeling.’ He thought miserably.

Yoona wondered why traffic had to be made.
It just made everything so slower, she thought.
And it just made the time between leaving Siwon’s apartment and arriving at the confines of her room much longer.
She only wanted one thing once she left Siwon’s apartment-to stay inside her room for 6 hours, just crying and laying in bed. She knew it was so teenager-ish, but it was the only thing that could keep her sane in immense hurt.
‘Yoona, that just proves that you could still be the Yoona of before.’
‘Could I?’ She thought hesitantly.
She looked at the mirror in front of the driver’s seat. She looked at herself. Her previously long hair -now red and short. Her eyes now heavy with makeup. She wondered if she could be that girl who studied all night, the girl who played guitar in her free time again. The girl who would always be polite to a guest her dad brings from work. The girl who remains sweet amidst all the hate she gets.
Her eyes landed on the purple bruise on her cheek bone. It reminded her that she was what she was now because of one thing: love.
Siwon just beat her, she knew that. And she could file a lawsuit against him. But she couldn’t, she just couldn’t. Because she loves him so much.
She rolled her eyes at the stupidity of the world. Why couldn’t things just be perfect.
She started driving again as the flow of cars started to move once again.
She speeded up, wanting to go home more than anything.
Just as she stepped on the accelerator, the stop light in front of her turned red. She quickly stepped on the break. In her annoyance, she didn’t notice a handsome young man peeking on her window, wanting to talk to her, until he knocked on the window.
Yoona pressed the button to lower the window. She was annoyed yes, but she couldn’t help but feel to remark how handsome the man was.
He had light brown hair and fair skin, with big doe eyes. He had a pointy nose, and lips that were not too plump, yet no too thin. Yoona didn’t know, but he didn’t look Korean at all.
“Ye-yes?” She said, wanting to shake her attraction to the man off.
‘Attraction? Gosh, Yoona, you’re in deep shit. You only love Siwon!’
‘Who said I loved the guy? I just think that he’s cute.’
“MISS!” The guy shouted.
“Yes?!” Yoona shouted, now a little annoyed.
“Can’t you come down from there?” The guy said.
“Why would I? Gosh, what a way of picking up a girl.” Yoona said .
The guy’s eyes widened. “WHAT?! Who said I was picking you up? Don’t you know what you did?”
“What do you mean what ‘I did’?” Yoona asked.
“Well, you wouldn’t know if you wouldn’t come down from the fucking car, won’t you?”
‘Ok, scratch that Yoona. He’s not at all attractive, he’s completely rude.’ She thought.
Yoona groaned and opened the car door. Once she stepped out, her heart jumped.
There was a small boy, crying, in front of her car. Around him were a lot of people. The boy was seemingly in pain, and the source of pain was apparently his left arm.
“Wha-what happened?” Yoona asked blankly.
Everyone around the boy glared at her.
“Now you see?! And you thought I was picking you up?” The guy said.
“Wha-No-“ Yoona stuttered embarrassedly. “JUST SHUT UP!” She shouted and walked to the boy, not knowing what to do.
Just then a middle aged man came rushing to her. “SEE WHAT YOU DID TO MY SON?! HUH? YOU SHOULD BE CAREFUL, MISSY, CAUSE THE NEXT TIME YOU HIT SOMEONE I WILL MAKE SURE YOU GO INTO JAIL!!!”
Yoona was dumbfounded. He was both scared, yet so angry with herself. The word ‘jail’ scared her beyond living daylights, and the thought of her going to jail made her shiver. But then angry with her self, because the man just made her feel more worthless.
“Ah-I’m-sorry...” Yoona managed to say, for the first time in her recent memory.
The man just huffed and walked to his son. Yoona sacredly walked back to her car, wanting to escape the commotion. Well, everybody was starting to disperse anyway.
But then she noticed the same guy, seemingly laughing from the sidewalk.
“WHAT ARE YOU LAUGHING AT?!” She demanded.
“Nothing” The man snorted.
Yoona rolled her eyes and went back to her car, slamming the door shut.
From the corners of her eyes she could still see the man laughing.
‘Why the hell is he laughing?’ She thought.
‘What do you care, he’s just another guy, you don’t even know him!’
“Yeah sweetie, you don’t know him, forget the son of a bitch.” She said aloud.

I don't know, but I really have a thing for cigarettes, no? But yeah, it's bad. :D
And I also know that Hae's character is so different from the real him. Well, he just had to be like that in this chap.
And another guessing game! Guess the guy who stalled Yoona! Haha. This time around, he's really in the story, not just extras for fun like Sohee, Seohyun and Yoobin. Hehe.
And when I come to think of it, the story'll end quite soon. Well not really, but it's coming nearer. Hehe.
