. . . . . . . .

“Are you okay?” Ron asked for the umpteenth times that day. Looking at Tavia with total concern, images of what happened before wouldn’t leave his mind. Once again, Tavia nodded her head as she shyly took a peek at the guy she had fallen on top of, earlier. Linda–as well–couldn’t help but feel slightly jealous slash upset over the ‘incident’. Even if it was just merely an accident, she couldn’t help herself but feel that way.

On the other hand, Ella, Bernice, Kenneth, Bosco and Leila could care less of what had happened between Raymond and Tavia. The only thing on their mind was: THE PLANE WAS GONE. Ella was pacing back and forth in front of the living room and everyone could tell she was sweating herself. Leila was still in a state of shock, she knew all this trip was too good to be true. C’mon, free food, accommodations, and travel expenses? The world must have gone crazy. On the other hand, Bernice and Kenneth had started a quarrel of their own. And poor Bosco was stuck between the two, having no idea whatsoever why he was dragged into this argument and why it even started. He remembered vaguely it was something about Bernice telling Kenneth to ‘shut up’ because he was complaining how he wouldn’t be able to meet ‘hot chicks’ tonight.

“WHAT? HELLO MR. I-THINK-I’M-THE-BEST, I WAS MERELY STATING AN OPINION!” Bernice yelled at the top of her lungs causing everyone to cover their ears. Surely, she was labelled as the ‘loud mouth’ for a good reason.

“MISS. I’M-ALWAYS-RIGHT–NO WAY IN THIS WORLD AM I GOING TO APOLOGIZE! PLUS, I WAS STATING MY OPINION AS WELL.” Kenneth rebutted, glaring daggers at Bernice. For such a pretty face, her attitude was horrible.

“GUYS! ENOUGH! DON’T MAKE ME STUFF SOCKS IN YOUR MOUTH!” Bosco finally exploded. He was desperate to shut these two up, even if it meant giving up his own socks.

“Well, why don’t you tell that stupid pig-head to shut up first!”

“You—“

Ella immediately interrupted them, “Please, stop it! Bernice, please.” she gave Bernice a pleading look. Grudgingly, Bernice crossed her arms and closed her mouth.

“What do we do now? Leila, you can’t possibly mean we’re stuck on this island?” Ella questioned.

“Argh~this stupid trip was too good to be true!” Leila cried out, her tone was frustrated.

“Calm down, everyone, maybe the pilot decides to take off because there was something wrong with the plane. Maybe tomorrow he’ll send someone else to pick us up?” Ron assured everyone but even his words weren’t convincing him.

“I’m sure what Ron said is true. We’re all really tense right now and I don’t think it would help the situation much. Let’s just all try to enjoy this place, alright?” Linda suggested with a tinge of hope in her voice.

“But..what if we’re stuck here forever?” Tavia nervously questioned, looking at Ron for answer or rather comfort.

“We can’t be stuck here forever. I’m sure my parents would inform the police if they don’t get a call from us.” Ron answered to Tavia’s question as she quietly nodded her head.

“Hah. Can’t believe I’m going to be stuck with a pig for who-knows-how-many-days?” Bernice said in a sarcastic manner which only further angers Kenneth.

“You! What are you trying to imply!”

“What?” Bernice ‘innocently’ replied.

“Shut-up.” Raymond, who had remained silent during all these time, finally spoke. Well–no one can blame him, who wouldn’t get annoyed?

Immediately, Bernice and Kenneth closed their mouth; however, it’s just a matter of time when they will open their mouths again.

‘Thank-you, Lord.’ Bosco, Ron, Ella, Linda, and Tavia silently prayed to themselves.

. . . . . . . . . . .

Thankfully, there was no more shouting, yelling, and insults to be heard. A few hours ago, Bernice had stalked off to the beach, angrily. Of course–Ella had accompanied her and perhaps, is trying to calm her down right now. As for Kenneth, he instantly returned to his happy self once Bernice has left the room. As of right now, he’s currently in his room and God knows what he’s doing in there. Meanwhile, the others left to their own room–hoping that they would be out of this place by tomorrow. Unfortunately for Raymond and Tavia, since they had not ‘claimed’ a room of their own, they were stuck with the lousy ones. These two rooms do not have a bathroom of their own; however, the bathroom was connected to the two bedrooms. Tavia had asked or rather, pleaded, Ron to exchange rooms with her. To her misfortune, the idiot only laughed and shooed her away. What a great friend...not.

Heaving a big sigh, Leila spoke. “Are we really stuck here, Bosco?”

“I don’t know.” was the only thing Bosco could say.

“Thanks a lot for trying to comfort me.” Leila said sarcastically whilst rolling her eyes.

Bosco jumped onto her bed and laid down beside Leila. “Heh.” There was a moment of silence as they both stared up at the ceiling, drifting off into their own world. “I hope not.”

. . . . . . . . . . .

“Bernice? Are you still angry at him?” Ella softly spoke, setting herself down onto the soft sand. She took a sniff of the salty air, the winds hitting her face. It felt so serene and it was good to be out of the city. This was something she hadn’t done in such a long time.

Bernice groaned, “Must we really talk about him and ruin this perfect moment?” Bernice smiled. “Feels good to be here.” Suddenly, she felt an emptiness in her heart which she can not explain.

“Yeah...” Ella breathe.

And the only thing they could hear from then on was the waves coming and go.

. . . . . . . . . . .

‘Guess we’ll just have to wait until tomorrow..’ Linda thought to herself, she started to unpack some of her things.

She came across a photo of her and Raymond back in the days. Unbeknownst to her, a smile crept its way upon her face. He wasn’t smiling, as always, but the photo brought back so much memories. Memories before she left and studied abroad. Tears began to well up in her eyes, she knew it must’ve been hard for him during all these years she was gone. If she could turn back time, she would’ve chose not to leave. If only..

. . . . . . . . . .

THUMP.

BANG.

CLANG.

SLAM.

Raymond let out a groan for the umpteenth times that day; whatever was happening in the room next door, he wanted it to stop–immediately. The noises had been going on for 10 minutes and every time he closed his eyes, he was awoken by the noises.

THUMP.

Frustrated, he ran his left hand through his hair. He decided to put a stop to the annoying sounds that were coming from her room. Instead of knocking on the front bedroom door, Raymond took the shortcut instead. He passed through the connected bathroom, pushing the door in front of him open; not even bothering to inform Tavia.

“Does it hurt to quiet down?” he hissed, glaring at the stunned girl on the floor. Tavia was unpacking her luggage (more like tearing it apart) until Raymond came barging into her room.

She noticed that her undergarments were spread upon the bed—allowing him to have a clear view of it (not that he was even interested). Tavia felt herself blushing from head to toes until she realized that he had just came in without permission.

Frowning, Tavia stood up and faced Raymond; blocking his view of her undergarments as well.

“Why don’t you knock next time?! Wh-who said you can come in?! W-what are you doing in here?!?” she pouts, taking a quick glance at the bed.

Raymond caught the look on her face, a smirk appeared on his face. He definitely knew what she was thinking about; his eyes followed hers in the direction of the bed. “Does it make a difference if I knocked or not?”

“H-hey! What are you looking at?! It’s rude to not look at the person you’re talking to!” she cried, attempting to divert his attention from the bed.

“You were the one not looking at me in the first place.” he retorted, staring at Tavia which made her even more uncomfortable than she already is.

“...” she looked down at her shoes for only a minute until she started pushing him out the door. “I–if there’s nothing else–bye!”

Raymond stopped Tavia before she could close the door in on him. “No. I came to tell you to shut-up and stop making those darn noises. They’re annoying, like you.”

Tavia’s jaws dropped open. “You could tell me that in a polite way!!!”

“What? It means the same thing—whichever way I say it.”

‘You stupid bully!!’ her mind screamed, glaring at him.

“GO AWAY!” she yelled, this time–slamming the door in his face.

“HEY!” Tavia heard his angry voice on the other side, but she ignored. She made a face at him, behind the door.

. . . . . . . . . . . . .

“Oh wow. Apples, oranges, pears, celery, carrots..hmm..CAKES?!?! Where in the world?” Ron cried out loud, his eyes grew twice as big once he saw the chocolate covered cake. Were they really ‘stranded’? Because this was way better than being stranded! Not only were the fridge full of food, but there were ping pong tables, not to mention the pinball machine and pool table. This could be the closest to heaven that Ron could ever imagined.

Now, who said being stranded was a bad idea?

Not in his dictionary.

“Hey, what are you looking at?” Kenneth asked, stepping foot into the kitchen in which Ron called, “Ron’s Kitchen”.

“Dude, look! There’s cake! This place has everything we need. Going home...sounds like a bad idea right now.” Ron said, gesturing for Kenneth to take a look inside the fridge.

“Chocolate too?! I love chocolate. Dang!”

Kenneth grabbed the spoon in Ron’s hands as he took a spoonful of cake and stuffed it into his own mouth. “Ish gewrd (It’s good.)”

“Up for a round of ping pong?” Ron questioned with a mischievous smile.

Kenneth raised a brow, “Uh-huh. I’ll bweat you enyday (I’ll beat you any day).”

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

[ Meanwhile, in Hong Kong... ]

“We’re on in...5....4.....3.....2.....1~!”

As the countdown ended, a man in his 20's stood before the camera. A smile that could send anyone women on her knees was plastered across his handsome features. He gave a slight nod to the cameraman; he began to speak.

“Welcome to the first season of Stranded : Lost Island. I’m Sammul Chan and I will be your host from now on. We have been getting tremendous reviews and ratings for the season premiere; I hope the show will continue to pull in ratings. Anyway, as you all can see, our lucky 9 have all landed onto the island. Of course, they are all very surprised and worried–I mean who isn’t? It seems like there is already tensions between Kenneth and Bernice, could this hatred turn out to be love? Leila Tong sure looks smarter than she actually does, afterall, she’s the only one smart enough to go after one of our ‘flight attendant’. Bosco Wong; what can I say? I would say he’s a very nice guy, but I feel sorry for the poor boy, he’s being bossed around too much. As for Raymond, doesn’t seem like he’s one to start a conversation. And what is this ‘thing’ between him and Linda? Oh boy, there’s also Tavia—that girl is such a klutz! Ahh~we mustn’t forget about Ron and Ella. I don’t know about you, but I do think they’d make a beautiful pair. These are just my thoughts. A lot of you seem to be curious about whether or not their guardians know about their appearance on Stranded. To answer your question, YES! We have been given permission by their guardians to appear on this show. Well, that’s all for tonight. Tune in next week to see what’s going to happen between these 9 strangers, Stranded on Lost Island.”

“AND CUT! Great job, Sammul!”

“Thanks. This show is going to be a hit and Mr. Shek Sau would love it.”
