Loving Hate [COMPLETED]

Chapter 1

- - feeling of hatred

Miyeon is that pure-heart, innocent, and loving girl that nobody would hate. You may be annoyed with her, but no one would truly hate her. She would help those who others would think were useless and be friendly to those who were jerks and loud. Even though she did get upset, angry and lazy frequently, it reflected as being cute. Miyeon isn’t perfect, but she just can’t show anyone that she is feeling bad and tries to be nice even if it’s a gloomy day. Miyeon works at a coffee shop and is said to give the best customer service even when it isn’t deserved.

“Miyeon-ah that customer just yelled at you for making the coffee wrong and said he wouldn’t come back here ever! How could you not be angry?” Heewon questioned her.

Miyeon shrugged and just grinned happily, “Sure it was rude, but it was my mistake. He’ll be back, I know he will.”

Heewon rolled her eyes at Miyeon “You can’t expect he will be back! And you didn’t have to apologize to him, he was about to throw hot coffee on you!”

Once again, Miyeon just shrugged and smiled. “But he didn’t, so I guess I’m lucky.” Once again, Heewon rolled her eyes at Miyeon. Miyeon wiped her hands on her apron and put her elbows on the counter as she looked at the empty shop. Heewon shoved her over a bit and joined her.

“Miyeon-sshi, why are you so nice?”Heewon said unexpectedly. Miyeon stirred a bit and tilted her head. Why did this kind of question come up now? Miyeon thought. Miyeon recomposed herself and looked at Heewon strangely.

“Is there something wrong with being nice?”She replied. Heewon shook her head looking absent-minded. Truthfully though, Heewon was absolutely bothered by Miyeon’s goodie-two-shoes personality. She didn’t dislike Miyeon, but sometimes, it just got on her nerves how she was able to smile even when she shouldn’t. Of course, Miyeon didn’t know this. She thought that Heewon was just sarcastic at times and had a temper.

The bell rang signalling that a customer had just arrived. Both girls popped up standing straight. An elderly woman stepped in and waved at the two. Miyeon and Heewon bowed towards her. Miyeon saw that the elder was carrying a heavy bag and rushed to go help her. She gently took the bag from her arm and pulled out a chair for the woman. The woman looked at her surprised and happily. “Thank you sweetie. Not many kind girls like you around anymore.” The elder said. Miyeon smiled brightly and took her order.

Heewon who was about to take her order narrowed her eyes at Miyeon. Did little Miss. Perfect have to do everything? Miyeon suddenly appeared in front of Heewon and waved her hands. “Heewon-ah, that elderly lady just gave me a five dollar tip! She said that even her own grandchildren don’t help her like that!” Heewon tried to force a smile on her face.

“That’s nice. How about I take the order and you tend to her more?” Heewon said hoping that Miyeon would just leave her alone. Miyeon put her hands together and smiled.

“Really you would do that? I really want to make sure that this woman feels comfortable!” Heewon twitched, she actually took that literally? Miyeon ripped out the order from her notepad and patted it into Heewon’s open hands. Heewon was left open mouthed while Miyeon turned her back and skipped away towards the elder. Heewon scrunched the order in her fist and stomped away to the back while clenching her teeth. Does she think I will do everything she asks?

Roughly, Heewon put the order together and kept looking back at Miyeon. Who does she think she is? Heewon exhaled and closed her eyes trying to calm herself. She grabbed the coffee cup and put a fake smile on her face. She walked to the table where the elder and Miyeon were and set it down carefully. Miyeon was laughing with the elderly women. Heewon sat down with as well. Miyeon stopped the conversation and shifted her body towards Heewon.

“Heewon-ah, Mrs. Park is really nice. She says that she will come here all the time because the service is great! Oh, Mrs. Park, this is Heewon. Heewon, this is Mrs. Park.” Heewon grinned at the elder. She didn’t want to be there really, but, like they say, you have to respect your elders. Miyeon was really overjoyed. She really liked being able to make people smile. Mrs. Park had made her day just by smiling and laughing warmly. This was one of Miyeon’s favourite feelings.

Mrs. Park smiled warmly at the two girls. “You two seem to be good friends.” Miyeon nodded her head and hugged Heewon from the side. Heewon lifted her shoulders a bit in shock and patted Miyeon’s arm oddly. Miyeon let go and shrugged. Mrs. Park laughed at them and put her hand to her lip. “It’s lovely to see great friends like yourselves. You should always have a friend to lean on. You are so blessed.”

Heewon almost rolled her eyes but caught herself. Sure being Miyeon’s friend was good at times, but other times it was just annoying. The three talked for a bit and then Mrs. Park claimed she had to leave due to a doctor’s appointment. Heewon and Miyeon helped her out the door and thanked her. “Thank you for coming Mrs. Park! I hope you come again!” Miyeon shouted out the door as Mrs. Park walked away.

Heewon now let her eyes roll and made her way back to the counter. Miyeon was too loud sometimes. Miyeon hopped back to the counter as well and had a happy look on her face. Miyeon was feeling hyper and bubbly at the moment. Wanting to break Miyeon’s mood, Heewon poked her in the side. Miyeon jumped away from Heewon scared and clenched her side.

“That scared me! Don’t do that!” Miyeon said terrified. Heewon laughed and pointed at her friend. What a loser, Heewon was thinking. Miyeon pouted and walked slowly towards Heewon still feeling a bit cautious. She walked right up to her face and pouted her cutest pout.

“That wasn’t nice Heeeeewwwoooonnnnn –ah.” She whined cutely. Heewon rolled her eyes and placed her elbows on the counter. She mimicked Miyeon’s voice in a high-pitched manner. Miyeon sighed and lazily placed her elbows down too. Heewon looked at Miyeon from the corner of her eye. Has this girl ever been hated? She asked herself. Miyeon was annoying at times, but was she ever hated? She can’t be hated. Even I don’t hate her and I always get annoyed at her. Curious, Heewon turned towards Miyeon. Miyeon followed the action and tilted her head.

“Miyeon-ah, did you know that no one can ever hate you.” Heewon stated seriously. Miyeon started to laugh. What was that supposed to mean? She thought. Heewon looked at her seriously. Miyeon settled down and smiled at her trying to hold back her laugh.

“What makes you say that?”Miyeon questioned. Miyeon started to think. Has anyone ever hated her? She searched through her mind. She thought about every person that was questionable in hating her. Those people just ignored her. They didn’t hate her really, they just didn’t speak to her and ignored her. Now this was getting Miyeon thinking, what did it feel like to be hated? Was it as bad as people say? She didn’t even hate people herself. Miyeon bit her lip, what did it feel like to be hated and to hate?

Heewon shrugged and sighed. “I’m just saying that you aren’t hated. And, don’t bite your lip like that, it will start to bleed.” Miyeon let go of her lip and stood up straight. Heewon shifted so that she could see Miyeon’s expression. Miyeon looked a bit confused, but determined; what was she thing about?

“What does it feel like to be hated?” Miyeon asked randomly. Heewon shook her head; I’m not even going to answer her question. Miyeon looked at Heewon. “Heewon-ah, I think I want to try something.” Heewon looked at her lazily. She didn’t really care for what Miyeon was about to say.

With her fist raised to the level of her neck, Miyeon said with determination in her eyes, “I am going to make someone hate me!”
