******************************************
Jaejoong sat on his couch while contemplating what he had said to Miyeon. He laid his head on his hands and shook his head. If this didn’t work, he would feel regret for so long. He then heard a vibration coming from his phone signalling a text message but he didn’t bother to answer it. In the last three minutes, his phone vibrated and all the texts were from the plan master Heewon. All the messages were asking how it went with Miyeon and if he succeeded. Honestly, he didn’t want to think about those moments. They were too painful.
“Oppa,” Dawn-J said as she opened the door to their house. Jaejoong looked up and saw the too Dawn’s coming into the house while taking off their shoes. He stood up welcoming them, but as he gazed upon their faces, they didn’t seem too happy.
“You two okay? Dawn-M you look totally tired and Dawn-J you just look peeved. What’s wrong?” he asked leading them into the living room to sit down. As they sat, the Dawn’s looked at each other. Was he totally unaffected by his actions, they thought. Instead of hearing the silence, they decided it was time to be direct with Jaejoong.
“Jaejoong-sshi, are you aware that you hurt my sister?” Dawn-M said with a serious expression on her face. Jaejoong felt a bit of a shock. How did they know I…, Jaejoong thought.
“How could you hurt her like that oppa? I mean you aren’t the person to do that kind of thing.” expressed Dawn-J. Anger was showing in her face. Jaejoong was surprised at this too. His sister was usually so gentle and fragile, but right now, she seemed angry and forceful. It was a completely different image, but… was he the one who caused that image?
Jaejoong put his hands together and looked at the ground. “I know what I did was bad, but I have my reasons. In the end, everything will work out,” he said quietly. He felt so intimidated by the two girls in front of him. They were giving him death glares and had no hint of sympathy for him at all in their voices. He looked up at them again and faced the glares. “I may be ‘together’ with Heewon at the moment, but I do really like Miyeon,” he air quoted the word together.
Dawn-J stood up and stomped up to her brother, “Don’t say that you still like her when you’re with someone else already. You shouldn’t even be with Heewon! She’s using you isn’t she? She’s playing her own game and you’re just a pawn. Oppa, you like Miyeon-sshi, but right now, it doesn’t seem like that at all!”
After Dawn-J’s little scold at her brother, a fit of coughs came again. She tried covering her mouth and she suddenly felt weaker. Jaejoong sprung up and was by his sister’s side in a mere moment. He started to pat her back and was going to bring her on the couch to sit down. Dawn-J swatted him off and finally stopped coughing. She eyed him, “I don’t need some guy that plays with people’s hearts to help me.”
Dawn-J took Dawn-M’s arm and they headed upstairs to her room, leaving Jaejoong wide-eyed and just baffled. Did Dawn just say that to me? My sister who I can tell everything to, Jaejoong questioned. Then he heard a shout coming from the top of the stairs, “If you want my trust back, do something about this situation!”
Jaejoong bit his lip and took out his phone. He saw the three text messages and decided to reply. ‘Heewon, I heard that she doesn’t even care. I don’t think this will work.’
A few seconds later he received another text, ‘We are going through with this. It’s not working yet because it’s still the early stages. It takes time. Just wait.’
Jaejoong closed his phone and went outside to get some air. He leaned against his house and stared into the blue sky. “If only life would be that clear,” he sighed. He then started to think real hard. What is this going to accomplish? Is Miyeon ever going to fall for Heewon’s plan? Is all this really worth it? Suddenly, he heard a car honk at him. He looked up and saw Yoochun getting out of his black Audi R8 and walking towards him. Yoochun was looking happy but also a bit worried at the same time.
They did a high-five and greeted each other with the basic hello. Then Yoochun’s worried look took over his face. “Hyung, how are things with Miyeon going? Are you together yet?”
Jaejoong frowned and shook his head, “Not even close to being together Yoochun-ah. I’m with another girl right now so I can get together with Miyeon later.”
Yoochun looked confused so Jaejoong started to explain the situation at hand. By the end, Yoochun had a smile on his face and started to laugh. Jaejoong slapped his arm and gave him a serious look. “It’s not funny. This is serous Yoochun; I’m losing Miyeon.”
Yoochun laughed a little more than gave Jaejoong a smile, “Hyung, even though you are older than me, I have more experience than you do. From what I know, jealousy does not always work the way you want it to. If you like Miyeon, just express that. You don’t have to go through the trouble of being with this ‘Heewon’ or anything. She was starting to like you before and you’re just making things more complicated. Ditch the plan, and just go for Miyeon.”
Jaejoong bit his lip, “Really?”
Smirking, Yoochun nodded his head and placed a friendly hand on Jaejoong’s shoulder. “Hyung, go get her okay? I got to go now, but you can do this.” With that, Yoochun headed to his car grinning and laughing. Jaejoong started to grin as well, he’s right.
Taking out his phone, Jaejoong started to feel excited. He didn’t need that plan; all he needed to do was express it in his own way. He put the phone to his ear and heard Miyeon pick up the phone.
“Miyeon-ah, meet me at the park where you lost Dawn-M that one time tomorrow okay? Around noon or something,” he said happily. At first, there was no response so his smile started to fade.
“… I’ll be there,” she said quietly than hung up.
Jaejoong closed his phone and pumped his fist in the air. Feeling excited he went inside to tell the Dawn’s of his realization. As he closed the door, someone else who was watching him took out their phone and dialled a number.
“Heewon-ah, I have something tell you,” he spoke into the phone. He then told everything that he had just seen Jaejoong saying and doing. He suddenly heard Heewon laughing at the other end of the phone.
“Does he think it’s that easy to get out of my plan? Heck no. I’ll be there tomorrow, thanks for telling me. You’ve been a good spy,” she said then hung up.
The guy closed his phone too and rolled his eyes, “If she weren’t family I would never do anything for her.”
