Jaejoong felt relieved now that she was starting to calm down. Still holding Miyeon to his chest, he turned his head towards the two Dawn’s who looked terrified by the door way. He gave them a thumbs-up and they sighed in relief. Suddenly, Jaejoong felt Miyeon grip onto his shirt. He looked down at her and saw her eyes opening slightly.
Her dark, long eyelashes fluttered a bit because her eyes were trying to adjust to the light. Then a groggy Miyeon looked up at Jaejoong and grinned a bit. Jaejoong smiled as well and then a thought came into Miyeon’s head. It’s the Surprise Attack… Wait a second… Surprise attack?!
Miyeon flung herself away from him and fell off the side of the bed. Jaejoong tried to catch her but wasn’t fast enough. She rolled off the edge and groaned out in pain once she hit the floor. “Ouches!” She stood up wobbly and felt dizzy. “My brain hurts.” She whined to herself. Miyeon sat down and then put her hand to her forehead trying to calm herself. Then she looked down and scratched her leg. While in mid-scratch, she finally realized she wasn’t in the clothes she was in before. Quickly, she stood up and faced Jaejoong. She pointed one finger at him and the other arm was attempting to cover her chest.
“What have you done to me? Why am I here with you? Why did I wake up seeing your face? Why am I not wearing the same clothes as I was earlier? Tell me!” Miyeon said in a panic. Dirty thoughts were racing through her head. What if he raped me?! That is definitely not good! And what about Dawn… where is Dawn? Miyeon then pointed both hands at him.
“What have you done to my sister? Have you abducted her? Stored her in a closet? Leave her in the cold? Speak man!” She said rapidly.
“I’m right here unnie.” Dawn said raising her hand a little and waving towards Miyeon. Miyeon turned her head towards Dawn while still pointing at a speechless Jaejoong. Once Miyeon saw Dawn, she started to fast walk towards her with arms open for a hug.
“Don’t come near me,” Dawn said holding her hands out in front of her “, you are drenched in sweat.” Miyeon stopped in her tracks and glanced down at her shirt. She was soaked; so soaked that the cloth was sticking to her and her bra showed through. Miyeon covered her chest once again and dove under the bed covers surprising everyone.
“Someone get me a new shirt and then explain to me where I am and why!” She yelled under the covers.
Jaejoong laughed at the silly Miyeon and grabbed another shirt for her while shaking his head in amusement. He placed the shirt where her head was and tapped her supposed shoulder. “The shirt is on top of your head.” He informed her.
Miyeon stretched one hand out of the blanket and felt above it to find the shirt. Her hand patted a few places above her before it actually got it. Once the shirt was in her hand, she sat up with the blanket shielding her. She turned her back towards Jaejoong and made the blanket like a cloak so it looked like she was a mountain. “I’m changing so do not pill the blanket or look.”
Jaejoong grinned and turned his head to see what the Dawn’s expressions on the situation were. But they were no longer in the room. He then heard music coming from Dawn’s room and that meant she did not want to be disturbed. He wondered how Dawn thought of Miyeon. Dawn knew that he liked her. Dawn’s thoughts of a person always influenced him. Miyeon tapped him on the shoulder and Jaejoong turned his head so he was facing her once again.
When Jaejoong faced Miyeon, he had a slight pout on his lips. Miyeon’s fierce eyes softened at this. He looked like a cute little boy just then. She was about to smile when she remembered her experiment. Make him hate you, make him hate you. Her eyes became fierce again and Miyeon prepared the tone that the manager at the shop had whenever he scolded Miyeon on breaking a cup. “Can you tells me whats the hecks I am doing here?”She said trying to sound annoyed and angry with her odd vocabulary. Jaejoong raised one of his eyebrows slightly because of her tone. Then Miyeon tried to narrow her eyes like her manager. She tried to squint her eyes and make it seem like she would kill, but she felt a dizzy spell come upon her. Miyeon fell onto a pillow and then held her forehead again.
“How come it hurts so much?” Miyeon asked with her eyes closed. She started to lose color in her cheeks. Jaejoong put his hand on her forehead and turned to his right. Jaejoong grabbed the wet cloth that was still on the bedside table and placed it on Miyeon’s forehead gently.
“If you didn’t freak out, I would’ve explained to you immediately. Are you ready to listen to me now?” He said like a mother speaking to a stubborn child. Miyeon signified she was ready to listen by making a peace sign with her hand. Jaejoong positioned himself cross-legged on the bed so that he could tell her.
“Well, first off, you have a fever,” he started. Miyeon opened one eye and looked at him.
“I can tell that much now, thank you.” She said trying to sound cold. Jaejoong ignored her comment and continued on.
“Actually, I will start from the beginning. When you left me to go find Dawn on your own, I was about to go home. I don’t know why but, I felt like I had to find her and look for her. So instead of going home, I went to search. Since we didn’t find her in the park, I tried searching outside the park. Once I got out, I saw her swinging her feet while sitting on the borders of the skating rink. Of course, when I went up to her she was scared but when I explained to her that I knew you and was helping to look for her she lightened up a bit. Dawn looked at me oddly still though, probably curious as to whom I was. Then, I offered to buy her ice cream and she happily accepted. When I asked why she was here, she told me that she loves skating so it would be an obvious place to find her.” Jaejoong glanced at Miyeon to see if she was still following what he was saying. She looked tired but she nodded her head for him to continue. Jaejoong felt ecstatic that she was willing to listen to him without saying a word. Miyeon truthfully couldn’t fight back at the moment because she couldn’t think of anything to say since her head hurt.
As Jaejoong continued to tell a quiet Miyeon what happened, two eavesdroppers were hiding behind the closed door. Their ears were pressed to the door hearing every word that was said on the other side. Jaejoong’s Dawn opened the door a tad and peeked at them. Jaejoong was still talking while Miyeon looked sleepy. Jaejoong had a content expression on his face and Dawn noted that. Dawn smiled with her eyes and closed the door so it didn’t make a sound. She motioned Miyeon’s dawn to follow her to her room. They tip-toed like mice into Dawn’s room quietly. Dawn left the music on so that Jaejoong wouldn’t come in unexpectedly. Both Dawn’s sat on the bed cross-legged.
“Dawn…” Miyeon’s Dawn spoke.
“Yes Dawn?” Jaejoong’s Dawn answered.
“Wait, that’s confusing. We need a way to differentiate ourselves before we talk business. It’s cool that I found another Dawn, but it’s too confusing!” Miyeon’s Dawn started. Jaejoong’s Dawn nodded in agreement and covered her mouth shielding a cough. They thought for a second. Then Jaejoong’s Dawn snapped her fingers. Miyeon’s Dawn looked at her in curiosity.
“How about I’m Dawn- J and your Dawn-M? You know like how in other places, if two kids have the same name in a classroom, they use their last names first letter and put it behind their name to tell people apart. Instead of using our last names, we will use Jaejoong’s ‘J’ and Miyeon’s “M’. We should do that!” Dawn-J declared excitedly. Dawn-M liked that idea as well. It was simple but it made sure they wouldn’t get mixed up. The two Dawn’s high fived each other gently and smiled.
“Now back to the real business,” Dawn-M stated. Dawn-J sat up straight and nodded once quickly. “, how are we going to get those two together?”
“It’ll be hard to do. Miyeon-sshi seems to be a bit resistant towards my brother.” Dawn-J sighed.
“I don’t see why though. Your brother seems nice and he’s hot.” Dawn-M replied. Dawn-J raised an eyebrow. “Well he is.” Dawn-M said quietly lowering her head a bit.
Dawn-J ignored her comment. “Jaejoong-oppa likes her a lot already and they just met! He already told me how great he thinks of her.”
“Miyeon-unnie really needs someone. She has like almost no life. She’s either working, at school or taking care of me. That’s definitely not fair. And then there is her friend Heewon who I don’t really like. Unnie’s not that good with picking her friends in my opinion. Someone like Jaejoong would really take care of her. Unnie deserves a good life.” Dawn-M said gently feeling tears at the rim of her eyes.
Dawn-J put a comforting hand on Dawn-M’s knee. “You care for your sister a lot, don’t you?”
“Of course I do. Whenever I’m mean to her and she yells at me, it’s fine. All that yelling lets her unwind from the stress of her life. Even though it’s not much, I want to let her feel less stress.” Dawn-M explained. They stayed quiet for a bit letting the music play.
“What are two thirteen year olds capable of doing to make two adults fall in love? Make them play hide-and-seek? Make them have some young puppy love? Not exactly the best ways.” Dawn-M giggled as she said this. The image of Jaejoong and Miyeon hiding behind trees in the park trying to find each other was hilarious to her. Dawn-J laughed as well.
Dawn-J calmed down and felt determination come upon her. “All I can say is that they looked right together just now. I have never seen oppa looking at anyone with those kinds of loving eyes ever in my life.”
