Heewon plucked the list from Miyeon’s hands and held it in front of her face. There must be something that could help. Heewon tapped her fingers trying to think of some sort of plan. Nothing was coming to her head. She put down the paper and turned towards Miyeon with desperate eyes. “Any ideas?”
Miyeon shook her head. What could she possibly do? Just run over to his house and diss him randomly while Dawn-J stares at her in confusion? No, Miyeon wasn’t going to do that. That was embarrassing. “I’m sorry. I don’t really know him too well yet. It’s really hard to say what ticks him off when all I’ve seen is his caring side so far,” she said.
Miyeon faced down feeling burden towards the situation. She was no help. This experiment was going to take forever to complete, is what she thought. Miyeon beat herself mentally. I should have taken the time to find out his weakness while he was taking care of me, she complained in her head.
The two sat in silence. Heewon was trying to come up with plans, but nothing seemed to be grand enough. Miyeon was punishing herself about not getting information. It wasn’t turning out to be such a great morning so far. Suddenly, Miyeon’s stomach growled like a lion. Miyeon hugged her tummy tightly in embarrassment and turned to Heewon was who staring at Miyeon’s stomach wide-eyed.
“I never knew a stomach could growl that loud,” Heewon stated.
Miyeon winced at this. “Sorry, I haven’t eaten yet,” she said.
Heewon rolled her eyes and got up bringing Miyeon up with her. She held Miyeon’s arm to make her stand up. Miyeon’s other arm was still clenching her stomach. “Go in the back and get an extra large muffin. I’ll pay for it after work,” Heewon said, “now go before any customers come!” Heewon pointed towards the back and gave Miyeon a very strict stare. Miyeon bowed at her and ran lopsided towards the back.
Heewon grinned. I may not like Miyeon most of the time, but I guess I still have to care for her occasionally, Heewon thought. For the first time that day, the bell was heard and a customer came into the shop. Heewon turned around and bowed. “Hello sir,” she smiled.

It was almost closing time and Heewon was wiping the tables while Miyeon was arranging the shipments. Randomly, Miyeon felt a pang of craving in her. She looked up from the stock and yelled out to the front, “Heewon-ah, do you want to go somewhere after work?”
Heewon jumped at Miyeon’s sudden yell. She was so loud sometimes, Heewon thought. Good thing there were no customers at the moment, or else, she would have been ashamed at her friend. “Why?” Heewon said back not wanting to make her voice loud.
Miyeon stuck her head out from the back and pouted, “I really have a craving to go to the mall and skate,” she sighed.
Heewon stood up straight. “You want to go skating?” she lifted one eyebrow. Miyeon nodded furiously. Heewon slouched a bit and looked at the time on the wall. It wasn’t that late yet, and she didn’t have anything to do that night. She looked back at Miyeon who looked desperate. “Fine,” Heewon said defeated.
Miyeon jumped out from the back and raced to Heewon wanting to hug her. Heewon put her hand out, stopping Miyeon before she had the chance to squish her. “But, you’re paying,” Heewon stated. Miyeon stopped in her tracks and her smile turned into a frown. She turned around and slouched while walking back towards the back.
“Alright,” Miyeon said quietly.
Heewon smirked. If you are making me go somewhere, you are mostly definitely paying, loser. Plus, you owe me for that muffin, she thought.

“Heewon-ah watch out!” Miyeon screamed trying to stop herself from slamming into Heewon. Heewon went wide-eyed and skated out of the way avoiding the clumsy Miyeon. Miyeon would’ve crashed into the side-boards if she didn’t put her hands out to stop her. “I really need to learn how to stop,” she sighed in relief. Miyeon looked around for Heewon. Heewon was on the other side of the rink covering her eyes trying to make it seem like she didn’t know Miyeon. “Heewon-ah” Miyeon yelled. She waved her hand high in the air attracting many stares. Heewon turned completely away from Miyeon embarrassed. Miyeon tilted her head and then skated over to Heewon. Heewon was prepared to bolt out of the way just in case. Fortunately, Miyeon slowed down once she reached Heewon.
“Isn’t this great? I love skating!” Miyeon exclaimed.
Heewon glared at her, “How can you love it, if you don’t even know how to control yourself? You’re going to hurt someone. Honestly, what a dummy,” Heewon whispered the last part. She looked around trying to find something to distract her from her crazy friend. Her eyes scanned the place and then she found a group of guys just coming out onto the ice. Heewon quickly applied a coat of lip gloss onto her lips and smiled. Just as she was about to skate towards them, Miyeon tugged onto her sleeve.
“Where are you going Heewon?” Miyeon asked like a little child. Heewon looked back and forth between Miyeon and the guys. She groaned, but then realized, checking out guys was always better with a friend.
She straightened up Miyeon and pointed secretly to the guys that were now on the ice. “You see those guys over there?” she asked. Miyeon nodded and grinned happily at the handsome guys, “aren’t they hot?” Miyeon nodded and then smirked. At that moment, Heewon knew what Miyeon was thinking and she was glad for it. It was time to do some spying.
Miyeon took out her phone and put it on camera mode. “Let’s skate around first so it’s not so suspicious,” Miyeon suggested. Heewon nodded in agreement. If there was one quality that Heewon found confusing about Miyeon it was this. She really knew how to spy and pick out the hot guys, but she could never actually get that close to a guy, ahem, Jaejoong, ahem.
The two skated around together and kept an eye on the guys. Miyeon held out her phone beside her and was ready for any photo opportunity. Neither Miyeon nor Heewon saw any of the guys faces yet. But even from afar, they could tell they were eye candy. Suddenly the boys stopped and went into one of the side boards to sit down. Miyeon stopped Heewon and pointed to the centre. Heewon nodded her head and skated towards the centre, her back facing the guys. Miyeon stood in front of Heewon pretending to take a picture. Miyeon raised the phone a bit over Heewon’s head and then pressed zoom in. The zoom was fuzzy at first, but then it started to clear up. The faces were clear, so Miyeon took the picture. She held the phone to her face to see the picture and smiled at it. She had definitely got a good picture of the guys. Heewon skated towards Miyeon to check the picture.
“How did it turn out? Are they better looking from afar or are they as cute close up? You did zoom in, right?” Heewon questioned trying to grab the phone from Miyeon who was smiling at the photo.
Miyeon stuck her tongue out a bit, “Of course it came out okay. I am Miyeon, the master of taking secret picture of guys,” Miyeon said proudly.
Heewon rolled her eyes, “You know, that is just a bit creepy,” she stated. Miyeon shrugged and moved the phone a bit so Heewon could see as well. The two girls started to squeal and giggle over the good picture.
“Excuse me,” a man’s voice said to them.
Heewon and Miyeon looked up from the phone looking surprised at the man’s voice. “Yes?” they said at the same time. To their surprise, it was one of the guys that they were taking pictures of. Instantly they straightened up and put on their best smiles.
The man smiled back at them. He was certainly eye candy with bright brown eyes and a killer smile. “I noticed you two when I was with my friends over there. We were wondering if you wanted to hang out,” he said smoothly adding a wink at the end.
The two girls looked at each other and grinned. They felt ecstatic. For once, their spying actually worked and got someone to notice them. Miyeon held out her hand for a handshake, “I’m Miyeon and this is Heewon. We would love to hang out with you,” Miyeon said politely.
The guy took her hand and kissed it lightly. Miyeon felt a blush come on her cheeks. She glanced at Heewon, who had shock and jealousy written all over her face. Miyeon just has to get all the guys, Heewon sneered in her head.
The guy let go of Miyeon’s hand and waved over his two other friends who were equally hot. They skated over and then all five of them went to take off their skates and introduced themselves. When they were leaving, Heewon and Miyeon were in front of the three guys who were walking behind them. It got quiet between the five of them so Miyeon started listening around her. She suddenly heard that the guys were having a quiet conversation behind them. Miyeon suddenly felt a shiver go down her spine and felt like this wasn’t such a good idea after all.
