Chapter 20

Never going to know

A flash reflected from the small pocket knife into his eyes. Though that didn・t cause any trouble at all. He stretched out his hand and grabbed his arm, almost breaking his bones whilst twisting it backwards. He lifted his leg and threw a hard kick into his stomach causing him to yell in pain.

Sammuel was also quick; he helped Raymond by swiping the assassin off the ground. The four stood over the assassin. Raymond was the first to speak up.

"Who sent you?" He asked in a harsh tone that told him that he would kill him if he lied.

But the assassin didn`t get to find out what they would do to him. He picked up the knife that was dropped on the ground during the fighting. And in a blink's second he was dead. Sammuel wasn't a bit surprised at his actions. He had seen things like this happen before, so was Raymond. Michelle couldn't help but feel the loyalty the assassin had. Tavia was just standing there running the scene over and over again. Raymond realized Tavia・s blank face.

"Are you alright?" He asked caringly, his voice has changed dramatically to when he spoke to the assassin.

Tavia turned to face Raymond. "Who would want to kill me?" That was all she could say.

Little words came with big questions. Tavia・s question made the other three think. After a while they realised that there wasn't a reason now, since the assassin was dead. If there was a reason, they wouldn・t find out looking at the soundless corpse in front of them.

From a balcony of a restaurant above the three, Sat a young man. He watched the scene sipping his green tea. He left, leaving some money on the table.

"Curse them." He hissed under his breath whilst descending the stairs.

The two figures crossed the forest quietly and slowly. Things were on their minds and they knew what it was. They stopped and turned to face each other.

"Do you like Leila?" They both asked. A second later they burst out laughing.

Ron went across and found a log to sit on and motioned Bosco to join him.

"I should've guessed when I saw you so caring about her. You really should・ve told me. I could・ve helped you with her. You know how bad you are facing girls." Bosco laughed sitting down.

Ron put on a frown but just a little one. "You mean you don't like her?" Ron asked making sure he heard right.

"I like her." Bosco said stiffly as if he was confidence at something.

Ron's face blanked up. He was confused, scared and a bit down.

Bosco seeing this started laughing again. "As a friend you dummy!"

Ron looked at his friend not sure if he should believe him but was glad to hear that he only wanted to be friends with her.

"She's a really nice girl. I don't think I'm good enough for her, so I just like her as a friend, if more...A sister." Bosco said seriously. "But you on the other hand, I think will make a perfect couple with her." He said.

Ron looked at his feet. "There really is no point lying to you, so I・ll tell the truth. I like her but I have no idea what she thinks about me." Ron spoke his heart, like every time Bosco had thought he liked somebody. But this time it was different. He actually liked the person Bosco asked about.

"Sorry but I can't help with that, unless I ask her. Or would you like to have the privilege for doing so?" Bosco asked.

Ron thought for a moment and replied. "I think I will. I need to make sure."

"Ok. I need to get something for see mow." He stood up and started to walk away. "See you later." A while later he shrank to a small dot as he walked into the thick trees.

Ron was left thinking how he would ask her. He decided to go to the river, where it was more comfortable to think.
