¡§Thank you.¡¨ Raymond said as they watched the distant birds.
¡§For what? I was just doing you the favour.¡¨ He looked back at Tavia who was now in deep conversation with Leila. ¡§I believe I should thank you for looking after my dear sister too.¡¨
¡§She was good company. I should be thanking her.¡¨ Raymond said, as he watched Tavia smile brightly along with Leila.
¡§But you should know. If you really love her, you'll be hurting her, a lot.¡¨
Raymond looked carefully at his worried expression, not knowing what he meant.
Knowing he was confused, Sammuel carried on. ¡§Think about it. You're the only worthwhile successors of the king, as I heard from Michelle. And when you become king, do you think you can only have one wife? No concubines?¡¨
Hearing this caused Raymond to think. Even though nobody was supposed to know, his father had already told him he was his descendant to the throne. He was surprised when he found out, though he didn't like the feeling of hiding the truth from the world. It felt like danger was going to drop on him if anyone knew.
Raymond started to understand Sammuel's worries for his sister. Sammuel looked into the horizon, leaving Raymond deep in his thoughts.

Ron took quick looks at Leila, waiting for the chance. Finally, Leila stood up and walked towards the river for some water. Ron followed.
¡§Leila. Can I have a minute?¡¨ Ron asked.
Leila turned to face Ron. ¡§Actually, I want to tell you something too, before you start hating me.¡¨
Ron knew where this was leading, so he cleared Leila's worries. ¡§If you want to tell me you're a princess, then you don't have to. I know. And I do not hate you.¡¨
Leila was shocked to find Ron already aware of the situation. She stuttered, not sure what to say. ¡§But how...How did you find out? I...I...was it Bosco?¡¨
Ron shook his head. ¡§No. I guessed, and I confirmed it with a soldier last night at ¡¥Leung Chow¡¦.¡¨
¡§When did you start suspecting?¡¨ Leila asked, eager to know how long she was worried for nothing.
¡§Not until that time when we found out Nancy was following us. I realised, Nancy wasn't the only one on our trail. There were others too.¡¨
¡§That would be my brother's guards for me. But if you knew something was wrong why didn't you ask if we thought anything was weird?¡¨
¡§Well, if I noticed, there was no reason, why Bosco or Sammuel didn't realise anything, which made me suspicious...¡¨
After explaining how he found out the truth, Leila remembered he had something to say.
¡§So, I guess you wanted to tell me you knew then?¡¨
¡§No, actually. I wanted to say. Well... You know you're always in danger...and I was wondering if you would let me be there to protect you...¡¨ His voice quietened as he spoke.
Knowing what he meant, she wanted to make sure. ¡§Well you're ways there anyway.¡¨
¡§No. I mean...Protect you forever.¡¨ Ron said, looking into her soft brown eyes.
Leila stared into his gentle eyes and nodded. Slowly, Ron closed the gap between them, and planted a delicate kiss on her smooth red lips.

As Nancy and Bosco rummaged the grounds, they came across something they half expected. Whilst they sat on a low tree branch, talking, a gust of wind told them their approach. A group of masked men jumped out of the trees and started slashing their swords at them. There were around a dozen of them, each as powerful as they were. As they fought, their steps took them slowly out of the forest.
As loud as they could, they shouted words of help, hoping their friends would hear and come to their support. Which in no time, they did. Seeing their friends needed their help, they unsheathed their swords and joined in the immense fight.
Whilst Leila was engaged in a fight with two veiled assassins, she realised Tavia who was not far from her, was having trouble dealing with her enemies.
¡§Bro! Watch out for Miss Yeung!¡¨ Leila shouted.
Hearing her shouts, Raymond hacked the veiled men he was fighting and rushed to Tavia's aid. Seeing his sister was in trouble, Sammuel showed no mercy to his opponents, and started killing them. As quickly as the fight started, it ended.
With help from Raymond and Sammuel, Tavia got up off the floor, blood dribbling down the corner of her mouth. She could hear them shouting her name, calling her back. Her vision blurred as she fell backwards into Raymond's secure hands.
