"More problems? Aren't the Mongolians enough trouble already? Cant those generals help at all?" Tavia asked, a little stressed that Raymond came back every night tired out of his wits.
"You cannot blame them. Everything has to be passed to me to reread and confirm before anything happens. And they've got enough on their minds too. I bet you anything Sixth Wong Sok has been trying to recruit them in to his circle. I know for sure general lam and the lok brothers are already in it." He said sitting up.
She changed the subject to ease away from the matters that clouded her husband's mind.
"So, do you know where my brother has been? I haven't seen him since..." She was about to say the day the old king died, but decided not to flow to the subject that causes people pain. "Since...I last talked to him."
"Oh! I forgot to tell you. Sammuel is helping me to search for something, but I've had news that he'll be back in these two days. Don't worry."
"I wouldn't need to worry about him. I know he can look after himself. I am just worried he might be in your way, he¡¦s been in a bad mood recently." Recalling the time he shouted at her for interfering with his business.
Raymond giggled slightly at this. ¡§I bet you were asking about his love life or along the lines of that. Right?¡¨
A little shocked, she asked. "How did you know? Well...it wasn't exactly. I asked what was going on between Michelle and him. I thought he had something for her...but-."she stopped when she saw Raymond trying to massage his left shoulder.
Tavia walked up to him and started massaging his back, another daily routine. Raymond closed his eyes and enjoyed the moment as her hands soothed away the tiredness in his body.
Raymond turned to face Tavia, looking straight into her eyes.
"I am so sorry, my dear. All this time I felt like I have been neglecting you. Are you living fine here? Is there anything you want? Is the baby being good? Gosh, I am the worst husband and father ever." Raymond pulled Tavia into a hug.
Tavia felt the secure and warmth that she had lost since he became king return. She would give anything for the minute to stay.
¡§Don't say such things. It's my fault I haven't been doing a wife's job. You should be restful when you get home. That's what a home is for..."
"Shhhh. Just hold on and be MY home.¡¨ Raymond said . Tavia loosened and laid her head onto his shoulders. There was not a care in the world, now that they were together.

The king, Queen, princess Leila and their guests sat in the garden, discussing their situation with general Tse when an eunuch came up and reported the arrival of Sammuel.
"Your Majesty, your highness, I apologize if I am hear at the wrong time ." Sammuel mimicked a bow when he was in front of the king and queen.
Raymond smiled. "How many times do I have to tell you. Not to bow to me. We are friends, there's no need." Raymond pointed to a seat opposite him next to Ron and Bosco, indicating him to sit there.
Whilst Leila sat in between the queen and Ron, and Nancy beside Bosco and the king, Sammuel felt uncomfortable with Michelle behind Leila, ableing him to see her.
"I am hoping you brought me good news." Raymond said to Sammuel.
Tavia, not like the others, knew why her brother had been gone, and was eager to hear what it was that kept her husband's mind fixed on.
"News I have. But if it is good or not, you'll have to figure that out yourself." From his small side bag, he took out a slate that covered two of his palms."Take a look. Read the words. You'll understand a lot of things."
Leila took the slate and read the words out loud. "The phoenixes will stand by the dragon with the bond of blood until it rules."
Leila frowned and asked. "What does that mean?" And passed the slate into the queen's hand.
The queen read it through once as well, then she spoke up, sharing her thoughts. "Dragon. I think that's pointing at the king, now that he is the ruler. But phoenixes..."
"Leila and Lily." Raymond said suddenly.
Leila thought she heard wrong, not just because he had said she was what the prophecy said was the phoenix, but that her brother would finally talk about this mysterious twin sister of her's. But that wasn't the problem right now, what was in front of her was more important.
Their little discussion carried on for a while. Half way through, Leila slipped out of the garden to take a walk by the pond...
