Kneeling on the floor beside the bed, Leila took her brother's hand and spoke softly to him as though she knew he could hear her.
"When father died, you told me not to cry and said that you were going to be with me forever and protect me. You have to hear your children call you father and play with them. You cannot leave us, you cannot leave Tavia. She loves you with her life. You know what will happen if you left, do you really want that to happen?" Leila whispered, not realising that Tavia could hear her.
Tavia looked at Leila and landed a hand on her shoulder. She had never loved her half sister so much until now. Leila understood her as much as Raymond did. She knew that without Raymond, she would not be able to live in this world anymore.
Leila looked up into Tavia's eyes.
"He will be alright, won't he?" Leila asked with a shaking voice.
"He promised you and he promised me that he will name our child, so yes. I assure you that he will wake up and be better than ever." Tavia said, turning her attention on Raymond.
Just then, Raymond's eyelids flickered and he spoke, barely audibly.
"I always keep my promises."
Hearing him, Tavia wiped the tears that were running down her face and carefully helped him sit up right by letting him lean on her for support.
"You are finally awake. You have been uncon...sleeping for almost a day now." Tavia said.
Leila, stood up with a smile on her face for the first time since they were at the garden.
"Yeah. The time you have been sleeping, Tavia has been worried about you so much. And you heard me didn't you? Then why didn't you wake up earlier? Hey?" Leila asked, like her old self.
Tavia watched as the brother and sister started bickering at each other and was glad that they were. Raymond looked up at Tavia, the look in his eyes filled with words.
Leila, of course, saw this. "Well, I would not like to disturb you two lovebirds anymore, but I just need to tell you one more thing before I leave. Kenneth, the guy who stabbed you, is in the Level one security cellars, and Ron, Sammuel and Bosco are there trying to make him speak. But you don't have to worry about that right now. What's important now is that you two get your sweet talk and that I leave this room as soon as possible." Leila laughed and backed from the room with the maids, leaving some privacy for the two.
As the door closed and left them together by themselves, Raymond took Tavia's hands in his and held it close to his chest.
"I am sorry for getting you worried." Raymond said softly and lifted her hand to his lips.
Tavia smiled and wrapped her other hand around Raymond's body.
"You promise me you will never scare me like that again. Leila is right. I will follow you to death if I need to." Tavia said.
"Sssshhhhh." Raymond sounded. "Nothing is going to happen. I will always be with you."
Tavia smiled and leaned in to hug Raymond tightly, knowing for sure he would keep his promise.

Meanwhile, in a wide dungeon lit with fire torches on the walls, the three were questioning a young man in his twenties who was chained to the walls. Kenneth, was his name.
"I will ask you one more time. Who sent you? Was it Bowie, the elder prince? Or was it Joe Ma? Who sent you, speak!" Sammuel ordered.
Sammuel had been calm after the incident because he knew the others would show their sensitive side when things like this happened. He was cool and showed his worries only a little whilst inside, he was burning to kill the guy who caused everyone this pain, the guy in front of him.
Bosco walked to his side. "Maybe we are influenced by the girls and Raymond so that we are too generous on him, because I certainly thought Raymond was way too generous to his brother and uncle." He said, bringing up another subject.
Ron took a step and sat down on a wooden chair placed by the wall.
"Bosco, this is not the time to speak of things like that. We have to find out which one is still angry with Raymond and us to have sent this guy to assassinate Raymond." Ron said, meaning the brother and uncle of the king.
Just then, the door to the cellar opened and Leila walked down the few steps towards them.
"Brother is awake. Tavia is looking after him now, so I thought I would come to see how it is going." Leila said, looking around the room.
Her eyes landed on Kenneth and found his eyes familiar.
"Have I seen you before?" She asked him.
Kenneth laid his sight on the princess and spoke for the first time.
"Have your highness forgotten already?" He asked.
Hearing his voice made him sound even more familiar, but still, she couldn't remember.
Kenneth smirked. "You are so naive."
It hit her quickly when he had said that. "You were the one I injured."
"You remember. And I owe you a life." Kenneth said. "But does it really matter who sent me? I believe your king wouldn't want this taking revenge thing to carry on. That is, if he is a good king of course." His mind clicked and added. "I have what you need. After all, I was the one who injured you at the beginning.Do remeber, you only have two weeks left."
They were all confused at what he had said apart from Leila. She frowned for a while, and finally,she nodded.
"Free him." She said plainly.
Shocked, the guys said with unison. "What!?"
"I said free him. Freeing brother Bowie and Uncle Joe was for the same reason as what I am doing now. Raymond isn't evil and emotionless to their family, even if they do try to kill him." She explained.
"But.." Before they could say another word, Leila had already taken the keys from the guards and unchained Kenneth.

Soon, word was out on how generous the new king was. People's fear that was caused by the recent attacks had calmed after the news that the king had befriended their enemy and could promise peace to all. He did something his father could not even do. He was a legend.
But of course, the king's sister and wife's legend spread quickly too. The two phoenixes continued the legend of supporting the dragon, each in their own way...
