As she stepped into the room, Leila scanned the place, quickly but carefully. The crowd in the room was split into two groups, female and male. Casually dressed police, CIDs most likely, surrounded the place; Leila counted around a dozen of them.
One policewoman, noticing her, approached her with a smile on her face.
"Miss. I'm sorry, but you can't enter right now. The police are working." The young policewoman said.
Before Leila could speak up, a voice interrupted them. Another female policewoman, seemingly a higher rank than the previous one, came up beside them.
"Oh no Linda, I must have forgotten to tell you. This young lady here is Ron Ng's girlfriend; she has every right to be here whilst we search their disco for drugs. It is after all, their things that will be found here." The policewoman said.
This was none other than Charmaine Sheh, the head of the team who was conducting a thorough search of the place.
It has been a year now since Charmaine met the young and feisty girlfriend of the Triad leader's son. And it has also been one year since they started hating each other's presence. One would easily mistake them as two girls going for one boy. Neither one wanted to loose.
Leila smirked.
"Linda is it? I've never seen you around before. New?"she asked with a friendly smile on her face.
Linda, about to answer, was reminded that she was on duty by the obvious coughs coming from her boss. Quickly and hastily, she turned to her job, trying to ignore Charmaine's meaningful stare.
"It is also time for you to leave too Miss Tong. I believe Mr Ng is waiting for you. You won't want him to be worried now would you?" Charmaine said, hoping in every word that she'll leave.
"Thanks for your advice Miss Sheh, but here's my advice to you. Pack and leave. You won't find anything here. No druggies, no underage kids, and definitely nothing that will let you get a promotion. You're just wasting your time." Leila said. She turned around and was through the door instantly, leaving Charmaine Sheh, heated up and annoyed when Linda came back to her and reported findings of Zilch-nothing.

Myolie Wu watched the scene from the other end of the room, whilst trying to question a young 16 year old on her reasons for being where she was.
It wasn't surprising to see her boss and Leila Tong arguing politely as they always did whenever they met. It was more of a daily routine for them, and also a daily routine for Myolie to watch them do so.
"Hey, Madam, if you're not going to do anything, can I please have my ID card back now?" The young girl asked, clearly annoyed that Myolie did not hear a word she was telling her.
Myolie woke up from her trance and faced the girl.
"Excuse me young lady, but you're the one in trouble right now, so I advise you to shut that mouth of yours." Myolie said, passing the ID card back and telling the girl to step back to the side.
She made her way to the other end of the room, where Charmaine now stood ordering for a clear up of the area.
"Why don't you leave first, I'll take care of things here. You haven't slept for two days. You really should treat yourself better." Myolie suggested to Charmaine.
Charmaine sighed. "Thanks, I think you're right. I'll leave this place to you then, I'll be off.ˇ¨
"Am I dreaming, or are you actually listening to my advice for once." Myolie asked, eyebrows raised, not sure how to interpret the answer she had just received.
"Actually, I was thinking of going down to the pub off the road to find a little spy of mine. Maybe I'll get some information on where the drugs Ron Ng and Bosco Wong got from Thailand went to." Charmaine said.
"I knew it. You'd never settle to going home and taking a rest would you?" Myolie finally understood.
"Well, you know me, if I don't get Ron Ng and Bosco Wong off the street and into jail; I wonˇ¦t get a decent night of lovely dreams." Charmaine said bye to her fellow colleagues and left the place with Myolie shaking her head with a smile on her face.

Charmaine made her way towards the pub, there she took a seat at the bar and ordered a bottled tiger beer. The bar tender there greeted her like an old friend.
"Thanks." With that, Charmaine left the pub, slowly sipping the alcoholic drink on her way out.

"Alright everyone, off you go then, make sure you're on time tomorrow. Especially you Sammuel, if you're late, don't expect me to speak up for you if Charmaine gives you a lecture again." Myolie said, waving goodbye to her work mates.
Myolie made her way towards her Ferrari, which was parked on the other side of the street. As she reached it, she realized a guy was leaning on it, waiting.
"Excuse me, but would you mind not leaning my baby, you're going to scratch it." Myolie asked.
When the guy turned to look at her, Myolie frowned.
"Bosco Wong." She muttered under her breath. But he heard.
"Miss me?"Bosco asked, a smile hung onto his face.
"Well, of course I did." Myolie answered.
Bosco clearly didn't hear the exaggeration in her voice, was a bit surprised by her answer. "Really?"
"Of course I missed you. I missed kicking your ass." Myolie finished.
Bosco smirked. "Still so sharp in the tongue aren't we? You really should at least try to act a bit softer. With that attitude towards innocent citizens like me, you really can get reported you know."
"If you dislike my attitude so much, why on earth are you bugging me all the time?" Myolie asked. She had always wanted to know.
Bosco smiled and stepped closer to her, their faces were less than a few centimetres apart. Bosco could clearly feel her breath on his face.
"Because we're too alike." Bosco whispered into her ears, and before Myolie could figure the meanings to his words, he was gone.
Myolie cursed herself for letting him get so close to her. He was the only one who she felt like she wanted to crush his bones and rip him apart. His guts annoyed her and he himself was even worse.
"Next time, I'll lock you up for sure." Myolie said, before jumping into her car and leaving.

Bosco sped down the street, his eyes fixed on the girl crossing the road. He finally caught her at a stop by the other side of the crossing. Quickly, he ducked past the cars, ignored the beeping horns, and arrived by her side.
"Leila, wait up." Bosco said, tapping her on the shoulder.
"Bosco? You're back?" Leila asked, shocked to see him standing in front of her.
"Well, what do you think?" Bosco Laughed. "Ron asked me to find you; we're celebrating our success from Thailand at his house. He tried calling you, but you didn't pick up."
Suddenly realizing her phone had not rung all day, she took her phone out from her pocket of her jacket.
"No Battery. I think I forgot to charge it." Leila said sheepishly.
Bosco gave another light hearted laugh. "Come on then, we don't want Ron to wait too long do we?"
His words reminded Leila of Charmaine's words to her less than an hour ago, and she frowned.
"Hey, did you know our disco down the street was searched earlier?" Leila asked.
"Really? I was wondering why she was here then. Oh well, I'm guessing they found nothing right? Well, it's not like there's anything there for them to find anyway." Bosco said, leading the way down the street. "Come on Leila. Ron misses you so much. You should hear him moaning everyday in Thailand. He couldn't live a second without you." Bosco laughed at his two best friends.
"You're just jealous." Leila said.
"Yeah right..." They continued arguing and messing around as they made their way to the Ng's mansion.
