Finally, it was Bosco who broke the silence, remembering the time limit they had.
Bosco picked up the white phone and indicated Leila to do the same. "Haven't seen you for a while now, how's life treating you?" Bosco asked, trying to start a conversation. It had never been so hard to talk to her before...ever since Ron's death there seemed to be a change in their relationship as if the link to each other was fraying, and Bosco couldn't have that, they were too precious of a friend to each other to lose them...especially at this time of event.
"Let's see, we found Louis and Jessica." She started, thinking he would want to be informed first of what was going on outside.
Bosco nodded, still waiting.
"They're dead." Leila added, widening Bosco's eyes. "It turns out that Jessica was actually an ex-spy for the Thailand government years ago. She was supposed to bring down Louis and Leo, but fell in love with him instead. She left her post and last month, on the boat, she decided it was enough and Louis had gone too far, so well...she kind of ended both their lives." Leila explained; her eyes a little watery recalling how similar her position in this story was.
Silence fell upon them once more.
Leila licked her lips, nervous at what was going to be said. "Why didn't she just turn them in then?" Bosco asked.
"She left behind a letter and explained that they had been together too long to betray him that way..." Leila's mind wandered to the feelings Ron had felt when he found out at court.
"Oh, and did I tell you? Bowie, that guy who stole the Crystals, he's awake. But I think all the poison got to him; he's kind of out of his own mind at the moment." Leila suddenly remembered, desperate to carry on the conversation as not to let Bosco have the time to see the wrongness of her today.
Bosco just nodded and looked at her, expecting her to say more, which she did. "Oh, and Leo's received a 12 years sentence and has been shipped back to Thailand." Her voice started drifting.
Having ran out of things to say, she remembered what was happening today. "My Brother's leaving today. He's going over to Africa for some kind of charity volunteering. I don't know how I'm going to survive without him...or the other way round as well I suppose." Leila giggled her best. "I mean, I do make the breakfast every morning now...kind of hard to wake up so early all the time though..."
Leila sighed.
"I'm leaving next week. " Leila said, finally breaking the news she held in. "Going over to Korea for half a year as an exchange programme." She explained.
Bosco sighed. "There's more you want to say isn't there?" Bosco locked Leila's gaze with his eyes. "I know you too well Lei, No matter how well you try to hide it, the bags under your eyes tell me you haven't gotten over his death yet, so stop pretending you have because there's absolutely nothing wrong with that."
With the words exchanged, Leila's eyes started swelling at the mention of Ron and his death. "I can't take it Bosco. I hadn't truly gotten over Niki's death and now...Now he's gone as well...I just...I need some time alone, that's why I accepted the place to Korea." She looked down again; knowing well that he knew she was trying to avoid the name.
Bosco ran his free hand through his hair and spoke up again. "Leila, there's something I should have told you ages ago." He started, not sure if he should tell her yet. "Ron made me promise not to tell you...but the state you're in. I know he'll rather that I told you instead of leaving you like this. He would never have allowed it...I would never allow it." By now, he had gotten Leila attention and she was looking up at him with a confused face. "All I can say is you should take a look at Ron's private room on the top floor."
"But...But he never allows us, not even you in the room..." Leila frowned at his suggestion.
"You're right. But that rule only applied after we met you......"

Whilst the buzzing sounds of surrounding conversations wrapped them in their own world, Myolie continued staring at Bosco, her mind screaming at her next moves, fighting herself on if she should break the news to him. Meanwhile, Bosco sat across the glass table and waited for her to start; a smile plastered his face. It was the first time she had visited him. If Leila's news were shocking this morning, well, he was going to die of shock after hearing Myolie's news...
"Umm. I..." Myolie started, still not sure what she should say.
"When have you become so distant to me hey? The Myolie I remember would always bite my words out of my mouth before I can say anything. What's gotten into you today?" Bosco asked through the phone.
Myolie clutched the phone tighter, biting her lip and frowning. Seeing this, Bosco was sure there was something wrong. The old Myolie would definitely talked back at him by now. "Is there something wrong?" Bosco's mind started running over thousands of reasons for her abnormal silence...was she going to tell him something he didn't like?...did she...was she...!!! "Are you...Are you dating?"
Myolie's eyes immediately widened. "NO! Of course not, what were you thinking? I..." realized she sounded I little obvious about her feelings, she sighed and stopped herself.
Bosco physically sighed in relief. "Well, then, why...?"
Myolie looked up to catch his worried eyes. "I went to the hospital last week and ...well, I..."
Bosco raised an eyebrow, both worried and waiting.
Myolie took a deep breath. "I'm pregnant." She muttered into the phone.
All matter fell into space...well, at least to the two anyway. Bosco sat frozen in place, the phone on , the phone in his hand was didn't move a single millimetre as his eyes blinked once with confusion...twice is recognition and then, it came, the idea that she had moved on...
Myolie, seeing his face as if he didn't know how to respond, added: "Your baby."
And with that, as if it was a trigger being set of, the bomb within Bosco exploded and the phone dropped on the table in front of him and he was out of his seat in the speed of light. His hands were punching the air, and he was jumping with joy.
"I'm a father!!! You're pregnant!!! I'm a father!!!..."
The security guards present cam e up and tried to calm him down with no success whilst Myolie watched. Fascinated by his reaction, Myolie sighed with relief. 'Well, that went quite well indeed.' A smile grew of her face, seeing Bosco getting tackled on to the floor in hopes of restraining him from his emotional outbreak.

An hour later, Leila was standing in front of the door that led to Ron's private room. She remembered when she and Bosco would joke around and try to sneak in with no success...but there was once. Once when she was allowed in to give Ron his dinner when he was too sick and busy to go downstairs and eat at the table. She turned the knob and walked in.
The room was as the last time she saw it. There wasn't anything much in there, An armchair by the glass wall window that over looked the garden was as it was always, and the desk on one side of the room was surrounded by three wall compartments...nothing had changed.
Following Bosco's directions, she made her way to the left drawer that was at the bottom of the desk. Opening it, she found something that surprised her. The cupboard was empty but of two mp3 players and a box small enough that it reminded her of the boxes she kept her jewellery in. She reached for the box first, not seeing what Bosco had meant for her to find in here.
Opening the small aqua blue box, she stifled a gasp.
Inside was the bracelet she had treasured and lost. Come to think of it; ever since the day at the warehouse, she had no idea where the bracelet went...that was until now. She ran her fingers along the spine of the bracelet. Though she didn't admit it, she knew her feelings hadn't changednot since the time he had given her the bracelet.
A tear ran down her cheek and she lifted the box to place on the desk, still kneeling on the floor before it.
She reached in the drawer again and took the two mp3s out. Nothing could have prepared her for the voice and it's contents when she placed the earphones of one of the mp3 players into her ears and pressed play...nothing...
"If you're hearing this...well, I'll be sure not to bestow any secrets to Bosco ever again." The voice was Ron's. Leila remembered it clearly as if he was there with her. He chuckled. "But anyway. I guess I kind of foreseen this. Bosco loves you too much to see you suffer and if...well, if he ever told you to come looking for this, then I guess I'm not here anymore aren't I?" Ron sounded so genuine, Leila couldn't hold in the tears anymore as they slid down her cheeks, hanging lifelessly on her chin and dropping onto her top.
She sniffed, trying to blink away the tears.
"...I know you'll see my death as you're fault, but its not...I can't tell you why I know, but I do...I think it's because I know you more that I know myself." Ron seemed to be joking, but Leila knew better. "If I was ever to blame you for anything...it would be for ever making me fall in love with you...and not just that...but to make me feel loved again, love I lost since my parent's death. You gave me hope again and I would never, never in all my life hate you for that" There was a pause. "I want you to know that no matter who you are, Leila Tong the undercover police or the girl who chased a thief for streets just so that she could have a 'sorry' from him...You're the same Leila Tong I love..."
Leila lost control of her body as she slid to the floor and leaned up against the desk for support. Tears poured out of her eyes like a leaking tap. She pulled her knees towards her and cried. Cried like there was tomorrow...

"So, we'll see you soon right?" Raymond asked, handing her luggage over that he was carrying for her.
They were at the airport. It had been a week since Charmaine broke the news to everyone that she was leaving the country and wouldn't be returning till quite a while. Her team was to be under Raymond since neither Myolie nor Leila would accept the position. One being as she would be leaving too and the other because of her pregnancy, which was the only news that shocked everyone more than Charmaine's leave.
"Make sure you look after the team right? I'll stay in touch and keep an ear out for anything news of you mistreating my team, you hear?" Charmaine joked.
Raymond smiled. "Course not, Myolie will be the first one to complain...and I don't eve want to know what she'll say." He laughed.
Tavia stepped forewords from the half a dozen group. Myolie was missing as she had an appointment with the doctor today, and Leila...well, they hadn't seen much of her since the day on the boat.
"We'll miss you." Tavia pulled in for an embrace. "Make sure you call or write." They had gotten quite close during the past month.
"I promise." With that, Charmaine picked up the hand carry beside her foot and stepped back, taking in the team standing in front of her.
Linda had grown more mature during the past months and she was happy to say she was ready for what was in front of her. Sammuel...well, still late for everything as always...Tavia...A women's instinct told her there was more behind the girl, not just that she was a gang leader's sister, but the feelings she had for a certain colleague of hers...and then there was Raymond. Although they had worked together for a couple of years now, Charmaine could not say she knew more about him during those times they argued compared to the last month or two. Things had changed and they were partners...proper partners.
"Bye then." Charmaine smiled one last time before she turned around and headed towards the boarding entrance.

The journey was silent. Raymond frowned. He couldn't help but notice Tavia peering glances at him and when he couldn't hold his curiosity in anymore, he asked. "Are you alright? Do you want to tell me something?" He said, yes on the road ahead as he turned a corner.
Sitting beside him in the front seat, she had taken Raymond's car and they were heading home for the day.
Tavia looked down at the holding pair of hands on her lap. "Well, I...I'm surprised you didn't try to stop her leave. I mean, aren't you two together or something?" she asked, still glaring at her nails.
Raymond raised his eyebrows. "Together? What do you...Oh, yes, I see." He nodded his head and replied his question. "You think I confessed at the swan lake restaurant last month and that we're going out."
Tavia lifted her head, confused at his words. "You mean, you're not going out?" She smoothed her hair behind her ears. But you two were acting so close after that dinner and..." She was stopped by Raymond's light hearted laugh. Tavia couldn't take her eyes off him.
"No. I never confessed to her." He said, shocking Tavia even more. "I was too bewildered by her news and frankly, we found each other better partners in crime than partners in...well, partners literally." He explained.
"Oh." Tavia managed to let out before the car fell back into it's silence again.
Remembering what Charmaine had hinted to him the past week, Raymond smiled. "Hey, are you hungry? Care for a lunch with me?" he asked.
Turning immediately, Tavia's eyes widened with a glitter of happiness. "Yes, sure, I'm hungry too."
Raymond's smile widened at her reaction; he was going to start all over again. He was going to know her properly this time round...

On board the plane, things were going just as well. Charmaine was surprised when she looked up to someone's voice after turning from the view of the box sized window.
"What a coincident, fancy seeing you here."
Charmaine could only smile and shake her head, not believing the twist of fate. Standing there beside her seat was Kevin Cheng. They hadn't seen each other since the time at the hospital when Charmaine broke the news of Ron's death to him.
Kevin took the seat beside her. "And we're sitting beside each other too. Come to think of it...maybe I’m unconsciously stalking you." Kevin joked.
"So, what are you doing in Africa?" Charmaine asked, as they were on the same plane.
Kevin shrugged. “I just wanted do to get out and do more. Joined a charity group earlier and we're off to Kenya in Africa to help the poorer villagers over there to receive vaccinations and that sort of thing." Kevin explained. "What about you? Shouldn't you be going off to America or something for your health's sake." he asked, fiddling with his seat belt and trying to sit comfortably.
"I've been getting treatment for a month now, and the doctor said I'm alright as long as I keep on the medicine he subscribes for me. And well, seeing as I'm not in a state for work, I figured, why not use this time to go around and look at other countries like I always wanted to?" Charmaine said, putting her seat belt on as well. Seeing that Kevin was still moving around, she suggested. "Why don't you just take off your coat, it'll be a lot more comfortable."
Kevin shook his head at his own silliness. "I can't believe I didn't think of that." With that, he unseated himself and took off his coat. As he did, a sparkling chain fell from within one of the pockets.
Charmaine picked it up, studying it.
"Thanks." Kevin said, holding out his hand as he sat back down.
Charmaine turned the bracelet around. "This is mine." She said. "Where did you find it?"
Kevin turned to look at her as if she was insane. "That used to belong to my girlfriend..."
"Nu uh, See here..." Charmaine dangled the chain in front of Kevin for a closer look. On a part of the silver plate, words were engraved on it. "It says 'Ah Sheh', my name. I lost it a while ago at the hospital café. I went back to look for it afterwards, but couldn't and I thought I lost it.
Kevin frowned, and then remembered the incident at the hospital.
Flashback*
As he made his way towards the hospital canteen, he bumped into a young lady, causing her to drop some files.
"I'm sorry. I wasn't looking." Kevin quickly apologised before helping her pick up the files.
The young lady seemed to be in a hurry, as she said thanks and sped off towards the closing elevator.
End of flashback*
Kevin threw back his head in laughter and when Charmaine quizzed him on his reason, he told her.
Charmaine bit her lip trying to calm herself. "Now that you mentioned it, I was in quite a bit of hurry that day, I didn't even say sorry."
Kevin nodded. "That must be when you dropped that bracelet into my pocket then. I thought it belonged to my girlfriend at the time." Kevin found taking about Niki a lot easier the more he did.
"So...If you don't mind, could you tell me your story? You and your girlfriend must have a wonderful past." She asked, knowing he was a lot more in control with his emotion since their last encounter.
"Well, if you really want to know...We met through my sister..."
They talked and joked till they were both tired and decide to go to sleep. Eventually, they dreamt their way to Africa, the land of the wild.

Bosco's voice echoed in her head.
'He knew. He knew since the first day he met you that you were an undercover. But he also knew that when he first laid sight on you, that he was in love. So he tried his best to keep his trades away from you at the same time letting you on as if he trusted you. The truth is, he did trust you, but he didn't want to risk having you find out something and leaving him. In a way, he's too paranoid.' Bosco said 'That bracelet he gave you...it had a tracker device on it so that he could be sure if anything happened to you, he'll be able to find you and save you, knowing the enemies he had.'
Leila unconsciously fumbled with the bracelet in her clasp.
'He told me about you a few days before we negotiated with Louis at the warehouse. I couldn't quite believe his words at first, but...' Bosco's silence was understood. 'He made me promise not to tell you, but seeing you like that, I just couldn't keep the promise, and I think it would be better if you knew...'
Leila sighed and shook her head to clear Bosco's voice.
Reaching foreword, Leila placed the purple shaded lilies in the flower pot in front of Ron's grave. Sitting down with her knees hugged towards her chest, Leila rocked a little before sitting still and looking at the smiling picture of Ron planted on the gravestone. She sat there and reminiscent the past of the two together for the remaining of the day. It wasn’t until the sun started to set did she stand up and prepared to leave.
"No matter what, just like you said, I love the Ron Ng who loved Leila Tong no matter who she was." Leila said, taking another look at the picture before turning her back and leaving. "Always..."
As she left, a figure stepped out from behind a grave a few levels away. Unknown to Leila, the person had been watching her every move since she arrived at the Ng's mansion. The pair of eyes shimmered a red that contrasted in the sky's calmness as the person clenched their fists and muttered under their breath.
"No one's going to get away with it. Revenge will reign over..." the voice cackled a laughter that sent the birds away from their nests and into the blood teared sky.
