Chapter 1

The Beginning...

As Hebe collected her last pay packet from her full time job at a restaurant after work where she worked as a waitress, she at that moment in time, felt a surge of emotion rush through her, the sense of accomplishment, measured beyond words, was her seemingly single feeling, her mind became blank as she embraced her boss who has treated her well throughout the 2 months where she worked.

Hebe was born into a very poor family. both her parents were farmers and worked in the country-side. on realising that they had a daughter instead of a son who could help out in the farm, they sold the farm off and moved to the city when she was a few months old. the couple bought a small apartment and held odd jobs due to the fact they had no skills and could not compete for those who had qualified degrees. her mother stayed home to take care of her, educating her on the right values a person should have, treating her well while her father went to work. her father took on 3 different jobs in a day just to support the family. even so, there was not enough to pay for her university enrolment. Her grades was fantastic, and hence managed to secure a susidised cost in university.

This pay packet meant that at last, she could pay for her first year in university in the world-acclaimed TPU ( Taipei University )she had saved up her part-time job pay throughout her college and with this pay packet it was just enough. as part of the susidy by the government, she was given free textbooks, and materials.

When suddenly everyone stopped arranging the chairs for the next day and turned to look at her, she immediately felt the pang of shyness and let go.

Hebe(shyly): "ssorry, i'm very sorry.. i errr.. didnt mean it.. i just.. couldn't control.."

Boss(encouraging tone): "It's okay, i understand, i know how u feel, don't worry too much about it. i wish you the best of luck in your studies.."

Hebe(at ease tone): "Thanks."

as some turned back to arranging the chairs, some took the chance to bid their fellow collegue a farewell. Hebe heart warmed up to the fact that people can be so warm if they want to be. she bid her kind boss a final farewell,
as she turned to leave the restaurant. when suddenly,

Boss(shouting): "Wait!"

Hebe: "???"

Boss: "if you ever want to come back here to work, just drop me a call. i will gladly accept a hard-working waitress like you.."

Hebe: "thanks for the compliment, i will remember your kindness forever."

with that, off Hebe went, with 1 day left to submit her payment for the next year university enrolment.

[Jay,Lee Hom,Show] - outside the university enrolment booth

Jay: Heeeyy!

LH,S: Yo Jay!

Jay: what are u two doing here?

LH,S: why are u doing here?

Jay: u say first.

LH,S: nopex. lets have a basketball 1 on 1 to determine who will say first.

Jay being the more shy type decided to avoid it..

Jay(resignedly): im here to enrol for the university...

LH,S(shocked) : Really? we too!

Jay: wow. so we are going to be in the same university as we are in the same college,secondary and primary? thats.. a amazing track record!

LH,S(laughingly): Yeah! we can make it to the guiness book of records!

so they went in and made their payments for the university year. suddenly, Show's eye trailed off to a rather bad-tempered girl seemingly unhappy with her parents accompanying her to enrol for university. The girl had long golden flowing hair, wore a pretty red flowered blouse with a sleek skirt. and with a compataible reddish-brown sash, she was smashingly pretty.

Show(softly): Yo, look! 12 o'clock

LH,Jay: wow show good taste! she looks pretty alright!

Show(offended): i did not mean that look at her expression

LH,Jay: shes angry and so?

Show(in lala land): shes cute when shes angry...

to their side, Ella went in and registered, with a cheerful smile, Lee hom turned and saw her, interested in her shirt print, he went and say hi. Ella combed her hair to a spike style, wearing a loud print green plain T-shirt whose white prints was " Girls rule the court " and a brown bermudas.

LH: Hi

Ella: Hello

LH: you registering too?

Ella: yupps. you too?

LH: yup haha! maybe we will enter same class.

Ella: maybe, my name's Ella, whats yours?

LH: Lee Hom.

Ella: nice to meet you. i gotta go off now. i got a basketball game to play.

LH(obviously shocked): Whaatt? you play basketball?

Ella(smiling): yes i do, why shocked? well, i cant blame you. many people are shocked when they hear that too for the first time.

LH(calming down): hmm now i know whats up with your T-shirt print, one day we get together and play basketball together with my two pals over there?

Ella(playfully provokative): dont lose to me k? haha.

LH: heres my number : 98744561

Ella : mine is : 91654487

with that, i will close the chapter. i hope this gives a great insight into my story... i hope i can have some comments on what i should improve on and what i should stick with.. thanks =)
