Hebe(unused to the attention) : ahh.. okay.. *awakard hand position
Selina : u feeling very awakard?
Hebe(playing with her fingers) : Well abit..
Selina : why le?
Hebe : hmm, im not used to such attention..
Selina : Haha! Loosen up! Its nothing wrong!
Hebe(relaxing a little) : maybe..
Selina(cheekily) : you will be getting much more attention from usss!!
Hebe(jokingly) : then maybe I oughta run away?
Selina : You wouldn’t!
Hebe : maybe I will!
Selina : haha!
[a short interval]
Doctor : Hi, good to see you have waken up and you can even laugh so much!
Hebe : ah.. well..
Doctor : really happy for you, you know that your friends stayed so many nights over just to keep you company?
Hebe(touched) : Selina.. is that true?
Selina : hmmph.. its nothing at all! Haha!
Doctor : you know that she’s also paying for your hospital bills and your Dad’s one’s too?
Hebe(speechless) : thank you.. really.. thank you very much for all you have done for me… I don’t know what to say..
Selina : *stroking Hebe’s hair. Then don’t! I understand how u feel. Alls that matter is that you and your family is well! Isnt that what friends are for?
Hebe(emotional) : you.. are.. really.. a nice person.
Selina(trying to lighten up the atmosphere) : Hah! Guess it’s a stark contrast to what u think about rich people huh? *prods Hebe
Hebe : *flashes a smile and giggles a bit.
Doctor : Hebe, you have made a complete recovery. You can walk around now and the such, but you have to stay at the hospital for a few more days. In 3 days time, you can leave the hospital and go home. Anyway. Spend this time catching up with your friends!
Hebe : I will.. thank you doctor.
Selina : thanks doctor.
Selina and Hebe spent the rest of the time, chatting, with Selina filling Hebe in as to what happened while she was in a coma. What exactly happened to her, how everyone was feeling. how school was, everything, she however, left out the part about the mystery person. Soon, Jay returned with the Almond Jelly dessert. And by then, everyone else except for Hebe and Selina was in Hebe’s dad ward, visiting her, as per Selina’s request, but still finding it weird as to why she would suddenly call everyone to visit Hebe’s dad. As soon as Jay stepped into Hebe’s ward, he was greeted by Selina, who told him to go over to Hebe’s dad room, and wait for her. As he turned to leave, Selina took the Almond Jelly Dessert from him. And closed back the door. Jay was stunned. He guessed it must be another one of Selina’s pranks so he decided to play along with it and
[back in hebe’s ward]
Selina : *giggles. Alright! Nows the time for the unveiling of your recovery! How are u feeling?
Hebe : *giggles exicted and anxious.
Selina : here you go, take the almond jelly dessert, and lets be on our way!
Hebe : Ok!
[Hebe’s Dad ward]
Hebe’s Dad : hey, whats up with the commotion?
Ella : Selina told us to wait here and visit you at the same time
LH : I wonder why
Show : Hmm.. she is always so queer.
Just then, Jay enters.
Jay : Hi, how come you guys are here?
LH : Selina called us here.
Jay : whatever for?
LH : beats me. I think its cause she has something to announce?
Suddenly, they heard giggling outside, but it was not from one person, it was from two. Everyone stared at each other in utter shock. Everyone was speechless. Just then, the door opened. And Selina went in alone first.
Selina : Hi!
Ella : Hi. Why did u call us all here?
Selina : because I got something to announce and show you all!
Jay(cheekily) : and what might that be?
Selina : can everyone, please divert your attention, to the door.
When everyone turned to face the door, there was a very familiar face standing there. It belonged to the person they wanted to wake up over the past few weeks, months. Everyone was speechless. And in her hand, held a packet of Almond Jelly Dessert. She walked over to her dad, who was wondering why suddenly everyone was so quiet. But when he saw Hebe again, he immediately broke down into tears. It was a very touching scene, for daughter to be finally reunited with her dad, after weeks of separation.
Hebe : Dad, don’t cry, im alright aint I. how are you? I missed you so much
Dad(trying hard to hold back the tears) : Im alright. Alright I wont cry. You know how much I missed you?
Hebe : Everything’s ok now…
As Hebe’s mom entered, she was greeted by a sight, which she wanted to see for such a long time, she rushed forward to hug her daughter. Hebe turned and embraced her mother.
Mom(crying) : I’m so glad.. to see you are alright
Hebe : Sorry to have made you so worried. How are you?
Mom(still crying) : I’m.. pretty ok..
Hebe(teasely) : stop crying.. and you will get this! *waves the Almond Jelly Dessert.
Mom(sniffing) : Just like before you went into coma, always taunting me with that.
Hebe : Hehehe… here! *Hands the almond jelly dessert over.
Ella : Hebe! So glad to see you are ok!
LH : Yeah. Being in coma for so long is totally not cool yo.
Show : Hebe.. glad to see you are okay.
Jay : Wow. You are awake. How are you feeling?
Hebe taken aback by all the concern shown towards her. Only managed a rather meek reply.
Hebe(meekly) : thanks, im fine.
Selina started laughing, and everyone turned to face her with a questioning look on their faces. Selina stopped.
Selina : whats up with that look?
Jay : Weird.
LH : Queer
Ella : Strange
Show : …
Hebe(whispers) : why did u laugh for?
Selina(loudly) : I was laughing at you Hebe!
Hebe(embarrassed) : *whispers* what about me?
Selina(loudly) : why are u still so shy?
Hebe : w..what.. *blinks vigorously
Selina : Look, here are all the friends who stuck beside your bed for weeks, there is no need to be so shy with them! Just be as friendly with them as you with me!
Hebe : I.. I..
Selina : *Holds Hebe’s hand. You can do it.
Hebe(whispers) : I’ll try..
Selina(loudly) : Go on, tell them.
Hebe : I.. I..
Hebe saw expectant faces all around, they all expected her to overcome her shyness, and open up to them, be more friendly, and socialize with them more.
Hebe(swallows) : I’ll try.. to change and hope, that everyone will accept me…
Lee Hom started applauding Hebe’s courage. At once, the whole room, was filled with the sound of hands meeting each other, and words of encouragement for Hebe. Show in particular, was smiling non-stop, and nothing could possibly wipe the smile off his face. Everyone told Hebe, that she would be accepted, more than that, she would be loved, and befriended, and could find anyone of them to lean on if times of difficulty. It was the first time, Hebe had openly declared something. she at last, felt that she belonged, she felt wanted. She felt loved.
Admist the applauding and commotion, Hebe turned round and hugged Selina. Everyone was shocked at this gesture, including Selina herself. A brief thought flashed across their mind, but was quickly banished.
Hebe(whispers) : Thank you so very much Selina, for all you’ve done for me.
Selina(whispers back) : It’s nothing, at all *flashes a smile.
