as class was about to begin and everyone got to their seats, Selina leaned over to Hebe's desk and placed the contacts which she bought for her on her table.
Hebe(shocked) : I.. I.. did u buy wrong?
Selina(cheerfully) : No i didnt? did i? *winks at Ella.
Hebe : this is not what i wanted, i only gave Ella $7. this is at least $20!
Ella : oh was it? i guess i counted wrong haha!
Hebe : How much was it? i think i should pay u back.
Selina(solemn face) : Ella...
Ella(solemn face) : yeah...
Selina&Ella : Hahahahah!
Hebe(shocked) : what?
Selina&Ella : Its a gift! we are friends aint we?
Hebe(reluctantly) : well.. yes..
Selina : then accept it!
Ella : wow Hebe is so innocent!
Hebe(>.<) : ...
Teacher : Ok! we are gonna start class now! take out ur text books and turn to page 56!
Jay : Show, how was ur date yesterday?
Show : What! i went home? what date?
LH : nice acting.. we know you too well.
Show : .. stop imaging things.
Jay : why u think we let u off so easily yesterday?
Show : okok, i admit, but it wasnt a date. i just went to her workplace. and i found out something.
LH : what?
Show relates the story of her boss, and how hebe was responding to her boss.
Show : i think he has the hots for her.
LH : judging by what u said. yeah i have to agree.
Jay : we need to do something. and fast!
Show : thats why im thinking so hard!
Jay : ....
Teacher : Hebe, read out passage 2.
Teacher : Hebe?
the teacher then went over to Hebe desk where she was sleeping soundly, oblivious to the pokings that Selina was giving her and the impending "danger"
Teacher : HEBE! she shrieked.
Hebe(shocked) : YYyyes madam?
Teacher : I said you were to read passage 2!
Hebe : ahh.. okay..
Selina : Ella, the work is killing her and yesterday was only the first day. this wont do.
Ella : but what can we do?
Selina : Hmm...
as they were both lost in thought, time passed by quickly. soon it was after school. meeting at the usual spot after school, they then decided what to do next.
Selina : i think i'll be going home today. my mum wants me back for lunch! great food she coooks!
Jay : yeah, i guess i'll be heading home too.
Ella : i dunno, i got nothing to do...
LH : me too..
Hebe : work again.
Show : double that.
Selina : ok see u guys! im off!
Jay : me too!
as they left, Jay asked Selina if she wanted a ride. obviously still shy, she declined. and Jay realised that she needed time to accept a guy into her life. and he left it at that. for the day.
Show was watching them walk off. and didnt notice hebe was asking him to make a move. then hebe could take it no more.
Hebe : come on show! lets go! *grabbing show by the hand
Show(stunned) : Whhatt?
Hebe then held his hand as she led him towards the mrt for about a brief 10 seconds. then suddenly, she let go.
Hebe : sorry..
Show : Nah its ok!
Hebe(still very apologetical) : sorry.!
Show : its ok really.
the feeling was magical to Show. even though it was for the briefest of moments, the feeling that he felt, could be felt throughout his body, and was ceaseless as long as he was basking in her presence, as if she was a goddess. show then noticed.
Show : your specs..!
Hebe : Yupp! i've stop using specs.
Hebe was prettier than she was before. five fold. now hebe who was the "shunned" of the school, was beginning to have guys and girls turning their heads to catch another glimpse of her.
Show : you.. are.. very pretty.
Hebe(blushes) : thanks you are the first person to tell me that.
Show : im serious. u were beautiful before u took off your specs but now, u are more than beautiful. you are spectacular.
Hebe(blushes so much until she wont be needed any rouge) : thank you.
and with that, they both made their way down to the cafe cartel for that day of work. else where back @ the school gate,
Ella : Damn! im so bored!
LH : yeah. what can we do together..?
Ella&LH(in unison) : BASKETBALL!
Ella(exictedly) : lets go play basketba..
LH(Exictedly) : my house nearby got a court
Ella : then lets go!
LH grabs ella by the hand and ran off towards his house which was very nearby.
LH : ok, shall we have the challenge? 1 on 1? u challenged me a month ago.
Ella : Ok! loser treats lunch?
LH(confidently) : OK!
as the match progresses, it was 1-0 to Ella then 1-2 to LH then it switched again 2-2, then 3-2 then 3-3 then 4-4 it was then already 4pm. 5-4 6-4 then 6-8. then LH suddenly took the lead back and made it 9-9 it was the deciding point that would decide the pride and right to boast including a lunch to the winner. as Ella situated herself to take the last shot which was totally open, suddenly, her leg slipped.
Ella : Ouch!
LH : What happened?
Ella : i think i sprained my ankle!
LH : Oh my God. *as he rubs it.
Ella(POV) : it is such a nice feeling for a guy to care so much about me.
LH : can u walk?
Ella : i will try. *as she stood up. she suddenly felt a sharp pain and slumped back down
Ella : ouch!
LH : i doubt this will work. come let me carry you on my back to my house to rub some ointment.
Ella : i dont think...
LH : you can be shy?
Ella(laughing) : haha! sometimes u know, im still a girl.
LH : im doubting it by the way u play basketball
Ella(offended) : ah! what do u mean!
LH : just kidding! lets go before it gets late!
after reaching LH's place, it was shocking how big his house was, bigger than Ella's imagination she only thought this was possible in her dreams or in a movie. but yet she was in one. she felt so blessed.
LH : come! i shall help u rub!
Ella : OUCH! can u be more gentle!
LH : NO! haha *chuckling to himself
Ella : i'll get u when i recover!
LH : feel free! haah
Ella : owwwwww
after all was done, and ella felt she could walk again, she turned round as she was leaving,
Ella : Thanks Lee hom for today. it was sensational.
Ella then immediately blushed as if she accidently said what was on her head but wanted to say someting else.
LH(sensing it) : u mean the game? nah! u were great too! long time since a girl could beat me in a friendly game!
Ella : i beat u? i didnt. the score was tied.
LH : no. with ur skill, that open shot will definitely have went in.
Ella : oh haha! maybe!
LH : i guess i got lucky, as in really lucky!
Ella : lucky @ my misfortune?
LH : *as he moved closer lucky, because i got to know u better.
Ella : thank you so much... she limped over and gave LH a hug. to express her gratitude or was it anything more?
LH(shocked) : *smiles.
Ella : alright i've gotta go lest my parents get worried!
LH : see ya then!
Ella : Bubbyez.
LH : Bye!
Leehom (thinks) : i've never felt like this before. is she the perfect girl i've been waiting for? i guess so. i needa get a 2nd opinion! Jay! where are u!
Ella(thinks) : i cant believed i hugged him! it is really so blissful! for a guy to care for me like that. no! what am i thinking! he is rich! im just ordinary he may not like me.! hah! with that, Ella limps towards the bus stop and went home. with her leg in a slight bandage.
