Chun Pui and Raymond continue to stand in opposition, looking into one another.
“Uncle Chun.”
Chun Pui and Raymond immediately turn towards the door upon hearing the familiar voice.
Rain steps up from the crowd and walks up to them. As she approaches Raymond, she stops for one brief moment, not looking to him, and sides next to Chun Pui. “Sergeant Lam, I’m Mr. Chun’s defense lawyer.”
Knowing the situation would appear, Raymond still felt the need to absorb it all.
Before Raymond could start, Chun Pui, to everyone’s surprise, “No, I would like to call on another defense lawyer.”
Not knowing what was happening, everyone looks amongst each other.
“May I please have a moment with Mr. Chun,” Rain asks.

“I don’t want you to get dragged into this again, Rain,” Chun Pui tells Rain as they were given a few minutes time period in his office.
“I know what your worries are Uncle Chun,” Rain reveals. “You are souly worried about my relationship with Raymond being at risk because of this case.” Thou Chun Pui does not directly answer, Rain continue, “Uncle Chun, all I need to know is whether or not you were involved with the black market this past month?”
Chun Pui looks at Rin and clearly answers, “No.”

“Here, have some coffee,” Michelle says comfortingly, placing the drink in front of Raymond, on his desk.
Raymond smiles weakly to Michelle at her thoughtfulness to his favorite drink, “Thanks Michelle.”
Michelle returns the smile reassuringly, “No problem. Everyone has gone home already,” she informs him, “Is there anything else you want me to help with?”
Sighing heavily, Raymond leans back in his chair, frustrated, “No, everything should be set.”
“Are you going to be all right?” Michelle asks.
“Yeah, just tired,” Raymond tries to put off.
Michelle, knowingly, asks, “Are you going to talk this over with Rain?”
“I don’t know,” Raymond answers. Then suddenly, allowing his emotions to get the best of him, “Damn it, I don’t know what the hell is going on anymore!” Seeing a startled Michelle, he apologizes, “I’m sorry, I-“
“It’s okay,” Michelle assures, “I understand.”

“Knew you would be here,” Edison says, approaching Rain from behind, as she stood alongside the rail of the dock.
Rain, surprised to see Edison, “How did you now I’d be here?”
Edison smiles, “Where else is there to go when you just need a breath of fresh air.”
“I feel like Fate is playing one big joke on us,” Rain confesses, “I really don’t want to play this game anymore.”
“You can choose to not be Chun Sok’s defense lawyer,” Edison tells her.
Rain shakes her head. “This afternoon I asked Chun Sok whether or not he did the trade, and he said he didn’t. Chun Sok would never lie to me.”
“You think it is Lung Sok,” Edison suspects for her.
Rain acknowledges. “Though Chun Sok retired from the black market, Wong Lung still wants Chun Sok to be convicted, for not giving him any power before resignation.
“I found that the witness is unwilling to hand over the original evidence for Chun Sok’s conviction, in fear that his life will have no worth,” Edison informs. Then looking at Rain, “I can have him gone by tomorrow’s day out,” he suggests, waiting for Rain’s approval.
Rain looks at Edison intently, not knowing her own response. Just as she was going to give an answer, her cell rings.

“Doctor, how is my uncle?” Rain immediately asks upon bursting innto the private hospital room with Edison following close behind.
“Rain.”
Hearing her name, Rain turns to her right and sees Chun Pui sitting up in his hospital bed. “Chun Sok, omigosh, are you okay?” Rain asks, running up to his bedside.
Chun Pui smiles to Rain’s concern and turns his attention to Edison, “I see you found my wandering god-daughter.”
Edison smiles in acknowledgement, not having to say more.
“Chun Sok, now is the time to worry about you, “Rain reminds, and turns to the doctor, “Dr. Ng, how is my uncle? Will he be all right?”
“Mr. Chun will be fine. I believe he has been functioning under too much stress and pressure, causing his black-out this evening,” Dr. Ng explains. “Just make sure Mr. Chun doesn’t worry over too much and gets more rest.”
“Thank you Doctor,” Edison assures the requirements, “I’ll see you out.”
As Edison walks Dr. Ng out, Chun Pui pats Rain’s hand, “I’ll be fine, don’t worry.”
Rain, unconvinced, excuses, “I’ll be right back.”

“Raymond,” Michelle greets Raymond, opening the witness apartment door.
“How is he doing?” Raymond asks, entering.
“Lots of complaining,” Michelle informs, “Matt just went down to get him some lunch, he should be back soon.”
Upon the comment, the doorbell rings. Michelle, without a second’s thought, goes to open it.
“Wait,” Raymond calls out, but it was too late, as Michelle opens the door and a series of firing begin.
Luckily, Raymond had pulled Michelle out of the way a second none too soon, missing the bullet targeted at her. He then quickly drags her to the witness’ room.

Entering the room, Raymond immediately slams the door shut and realizes that the witness was nowhere to be seen.
Seeing the fluttering curtains due to the open window, Raymond looks at Michelle, “He escaped out the window.” Then, knowing the chair they had placed under the doorknob would not hold long from the constant shooting at the door, “Go. Out through the window,” Raymond orders.
Michelle hesitated, looking at him.
“I said go! They’ll be in here any second,” Raymond tells her. “They’re here to kill!”
“No,” Michelle informs him, speaking purely on emotions, “I’m not leaving without you.”
Surprised by her assertiveness, Raymond does not have time to react as the door flares open, and a man aim right at him and shoots.
Without thinking, Michelle quickly went in front of Raymond, taking the bullet to her shoulder.
Seeing the occurrences, Raymond reacted with cop instincts, shooting down two men.
Suddenly though, the men retrieved upon seeing no sign of the witness. Leaving Raymond to hold onto an unconscious Michelle.

Rain slowly approaches Raymond from behind, walking solemnly with each step.
Hearing the sound of footsteps, Raymond turns around to face Rain. Without turning corners, he tells her, “The witness against Chun Pui is dead.”
“I heard on the news,” Rain responds.
“Did you send the men to kill him,” Raymond confronts.
Rain looks Raymond in the eye and examines him. Then, finally replies, “In your world, justice may mean having the person suffer the consequences of the law. But in my world, justice is when you eliminate the person so that he may never harm you again.”
Knowing her answer, “No…” Raymond denies the fact.
“We live in two different worlds. One’s that will never come together, and neither will the people in it.”
