“You sure you want to go?” Edison asks once more, as Rain and him were in their passenger seat on the plane.

Rain, sitting by the window seat, “You must have asked me that twenty times now,” she teases. “Besides, this is three-week trip to Vancouver is for business, and since I’m going in place of Uncle Chun, I don’t see a reason to not go.”

Edison looks at Rain with a questioningly smile, “How about going on a trip to Sydney, Australia with me?” he asks. “Not for business reasons, not for any reasons, but to go with me.”

Looking at Edison and knowing he was putting on a light mood for his serious question, Rain gives a mischievous smile, “I’ll have to think about that.”

“Seems like you’re relationship with Michelle is getting closer by the moment,” Matt points out, as Raymond drives to the hospital.

“Really,” Raymond answers casually, eyes still on the road.

Seeing Raymond’s reaction, Matt rephrases, “Well, slowly, but surely.” Then looking at Raymond, “Or is it because Rain has been gone for a week now.”

Raymond’s expression immediately changes, as he brushes it off, “Is the Raymond Lam you know, one who cannot let things go,” he says, looking over at Matt.

“If it wasn’t serious, he probably could,” Matt answers differently.

Michelle, taking her daily walk through the hospital garden, stops as a rubber ball roll up to her and bounces off her feet lightly. Kneeling down on one knee, she picks up the ball and looks up to see a little girl approach her. “Hi, is this your ball,” she asks the little girls, bringing forth the ball.

The little girl nods, taking the ball into hand and runs off.

“Michelle.”

Michelle turns around, getting up and seeing Raymond behind her.

“Out so early in the morning?” Raymond asks, walking up to her.

“Yeah, I thought I’d get some fresh morning air,” Michelle explains. “How come you’re here this early?”

“Oh, Matt and I are here to get some verbal reports from certain patients,” Raymond informs, pointing towards the building. “We actually just finished, but I’m waiting for Matt to come out.”

Disappointed by the answer, “Oh,” Michelle says, looking away in awkwardness.

“So how are you feeling?” Raymond says, interrupting their silence.

“The doctor said that I’m all right, and am allowed to leave tomorrow morning,” Michelle tells him, then looks at him, “Would you being coming?”

Fumbling with his reply, “Umm… yeah… for sure,” Raymond finally manages, “What time?”

“A candlelight dinner and now a violinist?” Rain asks, as they sat in the open deck of the restaurant, seeing the sun set on the horizon.

Edison smiles his half smile, not answering Rain’s question, “All the evidence needed for Kwok Lung’s conviction is secured, the witnesses will be ready in a few days,” he informs her.

Rain looks at Edison, “Lit Sok won’t mind that you’re assisting me in convicting Kwok Lung?”

“If Lung Sok can frame someone who has brought him to light in the black market, then I don’t see why my dad would mind that I’m ridding someone who would eventually come to frame him,” Edison assures.

Rain, still in question of the situation in plan, starts to inquire about more, but Edison puts his right index finger to his lips, silencing the moment.

Soon, a server approaches and hands Rain a bouquet of lilacs.

Rain looks at the bouquet and back at Edison, “Lilacs?”

“Have you come upon a decision for the offer to Sydney?” Edison asks, seemingly off topic from the current question.

Rain, not knowing what he was thinking inside, “I still want to think about the offer before accepting it.”

Edison gives a knowing smile, “I know even to this moment, you are still attached to lilacs, and I don’t want to force you into accepting orchids. I’ll let time decide for that.”
