“Time to go now,” Michelle’s dad catches her attention, as she continues to stand in the hospital room, waiting.
“Yeah, okay,” Michelle slowly takes her bag into her, leaving the room reluctantly in disappointment.

“Can’t believe that Raymond didn’t come,” Mimi scolds of Raymond to Michelle as they walk outside the hospital. “I reminded him too!”
Seeing Michelle’s disappointment, her mom immediately reasons, “Well Raymond is a very busy person, he probably has a case on hand.”
“So what,” Michelle’s dad counteracts, “Just because he’s busy is no reason for him to not come and see my daughter out of the hospital.”
Michelle, standing in between them all, feels a headache forming as she walks forward, away from them. Upon doing so, she looks up to see Raymond standing ahead of her.
Smiling slightlty to greet Michelle, Raymond walks up to her casually and stops in front of her. “Sorry, Yau Sir wanted to discuss something with me just before I came. Hope I’m not too late.”
Holding her joy back, Michelle smiles widely, “No, not at all.”

“We’re going to land in about half an hour,” Edison informs Rain, taking his seat next to her on the plane.
Rain looks at Edison with a mischievous smile, “Too busy, you can’t even wait the half hour,” she teases.
Edison gives a grin, “Sort of wishing we could have stayed longer in Vancouver, that way no one can bother us.”
“I don’t think I’ve ever known Edison to be one to avoid reality,” Rain reminds him.
“As long as you want to, I’m willing to,” Edison tells her smiling his half smile.

“Omigosh,” Michelle sighs heavily as Raymond and her walk along the beach. “Thought I’d never stop hearing voices nag around me.”
Raymond chuckles, “Sorry for putting you through all the pain,” he teases.
Michelle laughs, “Hey, as long you know it, you can owe me a favor,” she plays along.
“Sure, as long as it doesn’t go beyond my principle and morals,” Raymond assures.
Michelle looks over at Raymond, “What if it does? Would you still do me the favor?”
Raymond looks at Michelle, knowing it was a double-meaning question and awkwardly moves his sight away from her.
Feeling guilty for causing the awkwardness, Michelle too turns her sight away from Raymond, still yearning for the answer. Suddenly, another object catches her attention.
“Omigosh, Raymond, look,” Michelle gasps, running towards a small puppy in a sitting position. Without thinking, she picks it up into her arms, “Isn’t it soooo adorable,” she gushes, petting the puppy in her arms.
Raymond does not look at the puppy, but at Michelle. As he looks at her, he realizes how he has never notice her innocent and loving nature. Having the thought in mind, he smiles lightly to himself.
Noticing that Raymond did not answer, Michelle glances up at Raymond, “What?” she asks curiously.
Raymond smiles to her, and bends down to pet the puppy.
“You think it’s cute too hey,” Michelle says, stroking the puppy gently.
Raymond turns his attention to Michelle, “Actually, I was thinking whether or not you were busy this Friday night?”
Michelle, surprised and caught off guard by the comment, “What?”
“If you’re busy…”
“No, I’m not,” Michelle cuts Raymond off before he could finish.

“Chun Sok said that he’d be here to pick us up,” Rain says, scanning the vast airport region she stood in.
“He won’t be coming,” Edison informs her, as he pushes the luggage in front of them.
Rain looks at Edison questioningly, “How do you suppose we’re going to get home then?”
Edison gives a teasing smirk, “I’ve already arranged for that.”

“First, you tell Chun Sok not to pick us up from our flight back, then you arrange for your car to be driven to the airport, and now you’re being secretive to where we’re going, and it’s definitely not back to Chun Manor,” Rain speculates, looking at Edison in suspicion.
Edison glances over at Rain and back to the road, “In about ten minutes you’ll find out where we’re going.”
“Here,” Edison says, putting his car into park, then unfastening his seatbelt, and gets out of the car.
Rain, sitting in her seat for a brief moment, then unfastens her seatbelt and exits the car as well. Looking at the area and recalling it was the peak they had last visited before they went to Vancouver. “You took me here…”
“Remember when I said that this is the place where you will find the peace you need,” Edison starts to answer her question. “That this is the place you could come to if you needed a sense of comfort.”
Rain continues to look at Edison, waiting for him to continue.
“Are you willing to let me be there for you in your need of comfort?” Edison openly asks, looking directly at Rain. He then walks up to her, and takes her hand in his, “Am I still living in Raymond Lam’s shadow, or is it possible that he can become your past and I, your present and future?”
Rain stares deeply into Edison’s eye, knowing that he was serious about every word he said. She looks down at their hands held together by this gentle grasp. “You never were living in Raymond’s shadow,” she tells him.
Edison smiles of sign of relief, “You only answered half my question.”
Rain gives a knowing smile, “I tend to that,” she replies and slowly takes her hand away from his. “Better get back to Chun Sok now,” she tells him, turning around and heading towards the car.
Edison stood in the same position for a moment, not seeing the smile that had formed on Rain’s expression, and began walking towards the car.
