“Raymond,” Matt calls out upon seeing Raymond enter the department, “Yau Sir was looking all over for you just a while ago.”
“Oh please, why do you always exaggerate everything,” Mimi confronts Matt, slapping him across the head with her folder.
Lai Sok, shaking his head at Matt, “With you, anything little can become anything big.”
Turning her attention back to Raymond, Mimi informs him, “Yau Sir just wanted to tell you that a new lawyer will be coming in today to present a new case.”
“A new lawyer?” Raymond asks rather surprised, “What happened to Lawyer Wu?”
“The question should actually be, a new case?” Matt reminds of their clueless mind, “He seriously has to stop pulling one on us.”
Mimi, ignoring Matt, responds to Raymond, “Lawyer Wu is on a conference trip in London, so a new prosecution lawyer is replacing her for the time being.”
Before Matt had a chance to make any more unwelcome remarks, Michelle walks, becoming his new target. Matt, running up to Michelle, “Michelle, did you hear that, Raymond can’t make his date tonight, he has an unexpected appointment with our new female prosecution lawyer.”
Michelle, startle by the comment at first, looks to Raymond who was holding in a smirk, realizes Matt was lying, “Really? That’s too bad, guess I’ll have to go by myself.”
Knowing that everyone else had given it away, “Yeah, so much for some excitement here, let’s all just work twenty-four seven.”
“The fault you made was try to question Michelle’s trust in Raymond,” Lai Sok points out.
“Exactly,” Mimi agrees, putting her hands Michelle’s shoulder. “If anyone, Raymond would be the last person Michelle would lose faith in.”
Michelle, having random comments thrown at her, turns red in embarrassment.
“Okay, no more joking,” Raymond tells them, defending Michelle.
Before any more teasing were made, Yau Sir walks in, causing them to position themselves. Most surprisingly, it was the visitor behind him who startled the group, in particular Raymond.
“Rain Lee?” Mimi questions aloud, “What are you doing here?”
“Mimi,” Yau Sir says in surprise to her tone of query.
“Yau Sir,” Raymond steps up towards him and Rain, as Michelle uncomfortably stood in silence.
“Raymond, this is the department’s new prosecution lawyer Rain Lee,” Yau Sir introduces, “Rain, this is Sergeant Raymond Lam. The two of you, I’m sure, have already met, so I’ll leave Raymond to introduce the rest of the group.”
With that, Yau Sir leaves Raymond and Rain standing in front of one another.
Rain, giving a light, familiar smile, “Sergeant Lam, shall we discuss the case before the general meeting?”
Raymond, returning the slight smile, answers, “Sure.”

“Have a seat,” Raymond gestures, as he closed the door behind him, taking a seat across from Rain.
“Thanks,” Rain acknowledges, taking her seat. As they both took their seat, Rain immediately went to the focus. “Here, I made a file copy of the current case for you,” she informs Raymond, handing him a file folder.
Raymond quickly scans through it, picking out the significant people. After glancing through the file, he looks up at Rain in surprise, and questions, “You want to convict Kwok Lung?”
“Yes, we have all but one witness to convict him,” Rain explains, “but the witness should be ready in the next couple of days. At that time, you can take action and convict him.”
Seeing that Rain had everything set, “Seems like you have everything set and ready to go,” Raymond comments, putting down the file.
Rain smiles, “Have to if I want to settle it immediately,” she responds, catching his attention. “It’s not only a good thing for Uncle Chun and I, but for the police department as well.”
“Is Kwok Lung the one who initiated the trade and leaked news that it was Chun Pui’s doing,” Raymond finally understood.
“Yes, in the file, you should be able to find information and evidence on that as well,” Rain tells Raymond, knowing exact details of the case.
Raymond looking from the file up to Rain, “After this case is settled, are you-“
“Don’t know,” Rain answers, already knowing the question. “Uncle Chun already retired from many things, and being his personal lawyer I don’t have to choose specific sides,” she hints the real answer. “If I continue to enjoy being a Prosecution lawyer, I might just stay in this field of Law.”
Raymond smiles at the decision, “Then I hope I will be working with you more in the future.”

“I can’t believe Rain Lee is the new prosecution lawyer, why the heck did Lawyer Wu have to go the month-long conference,” Mimi rages aloud.
“Shh…” Matt cautions, “They can probably hear you in there. Besides, maybe she decided to stop defending the Black Market, and help with the justice system.”
“I agree with Matt,” Lai Sok acknowledges Matt for once, “Being a Defense lawyer makes more financially, so I don’t see a reason for Rain Lee to switch from Defense to Prosecution lawyer.”
“That’s exactly my point,” Mimi points out. “Why would she do that, unless she gains from it, elsewhere,” she put the idea into their mind. Turning to her right, Mimi notices a quiet Michelle sitting off to the side. “Michelle?”
Not having spoken a word, Michelle pulls out from her daze, “Huh?”
“Are you all right Michelle?” Lai Sok concerns, “You haven’t said anything this whole time?”
“How can she,” Matt cuts in before Michelle could respond, “Her boyfriend is in that little room with his ex, how can any girl not worry.”
“No-“ Michelle starts to explain, but was interrupted once again, by the opening of the Raymond’s office door, and the soft laughs that came with from it.
“Okay, thanks for your assistance Raymond,” Rain says, putting forth her hand for an informal handshake. “Guess I’ll see you at our next meeting.”
Raymond, shaking Rain’s hand, “Anytime,” he assures her, then adds teasingly, “And it’s okay to call even before our next meeting.”
Rain chuckles, “I’ll have to remember that,” she plays along.
Absorbed in their own conversation, they leave the rest of the department in confusion, only Michelle feeling the disappointment.
