“No, no, it’s not that,” Michelle assures, looking Raymond.
Seeing Michelle’s seriousness to the joke, Raymond smiles, “Okay, for a second there, I thought you didn’t like being with me.”
Hearing those words, Michelle’s expression immediately saddens, obvious to Raymond.
“Something’s bothering you,” Raymond acknowledges, “Can you tell me about it?”
Looking at Raymond, and seeing his true sincerity, “It’s nothing, really,” she assures with a weak smile.
Hearing the answer, Raymond instantly knows the problem, “Does this have to do with Rain?” he asks specifically. “That she is our new Prosecution lawyer, that she is helping us with the current case and working alongside me?”
Not wanting to admit her insecurities, Michelle nods in acknowledgement.
Raymond stops walking, and takes both of Michelle’s hand in his, “Silly girl, there’s nothing to feel insecure about. Rain helping me with this case and even future cases, has nothing to do with the relationship between you and me.”
Michelle, comforted by Raymond’s words, “Really?”
“Really,” Raymond assures, and with that, gives her a gentle peck on the forehead.

“I don’t think it’s like Edison Chen to not be talking,” Rain lightly teases, as they sat in a corner of a candlelit restaurant. Looking over at his rather worn, sentimental hand watch, and realizing they had been eating for an hour and that he had not spoken much or at all.
Edison looks at Rain, “And why, would you suppose the reason be?”
“I don’t know,” Rain plays along, though she knew exactly what the situation was.
“I’m thinking of how your meeting with Raymond Lam went,” Edison openly asks.
“To answer your question, the meeting went well, and should be going as set,” Rain informs him, then giving a half smile. “But to answer your real question, Raymond and I are long-time acquaintances, who happen to meet up again.”
Edison smiles to Rain’s response, “Thank you for the answer.”
Rain teasingly asks, “Jealous?”
Showing a smirk, “No,” Edison gives a simple, direct answer.
“Which is what I like about you,” Rain gives Edison a warm smile, causing him to form his half smile.

Walking past Chun Pui’s home office towards her room, Rain notices the light on in the office.

“Uncle Chun?” Rain says, upon quietly opening the office door and entering to see Chun Pui sitting at his desk.
“Rain, you’re home,” Chun Pui welcomes, taking off his glasses, “How was supper?”
“It was good,” Rain gives a casual answer as she walks up towards him, then tells him, “Everything for Kwok Lung’s case is well underway, and he should be under arrest in a matter of days.”
Chun Pui, taking Rain’s hand and patting it lightly, “I know that you have everything planned and running smoothly,” he assures, “But somewhere in there, you have to find some time for yourself.”
Rain, knowing where Chun Pui was leading to, gives a surrendering sigh, “Uncle Chun, I think we must have been through this a hundred times.”
Chun Pui chuckles, “And somehow through those hundred times, I still get the same response that you and Edison are just seeing each other. Seems likes that’s all you two have been doing lately, and yet no further development?”
Rain gives a thoughtful smile of Edison, and replies, “I like how things are as of now, no worries for anything or anything that could happen.”
Knowing what Rain truly meant, “You’re still thinking of Raymond Lam?”
“No,” Rain answers to his surprise. “The two of us are now collaborating on Kwok Lung’s case,” she informs him.
Chun Pui, hearing the information, looks at Rain to continue.
“I use to wonder how I would feel if I saw Raymond again,” Rain confesses. “But today, when I saw him, talked to him, I just felt as if I had re-encountered a friend I haven’t seen or kept in contact with for a long time.” With a sigh of self-relief, “I didn’t feel the pressure and longing I thought I would have.”
