Chun Pui then takes Rain’s hand and gently pats it, as he sighs, “Rain, I know the only reason you don’t want to accept the police’s request, is because you’re worried that they might find some evidence to convict me.”
Rain did not respond, but through silence, acknowledged the comment.
“And it’s because of this, that I want you to accept the request,” Chun Pui explains, “I have done so much over the years, it’s time to bring it to an end.”
“Uncle Chun…” Rain starts.
“If they do happen to find any evidence to convict me, then I would be willing to accept the consequences.”

“Miss Lee, this will be your home for the time being, if you have any questions or concerns, you can just ask anyone who’s supervising,” explains Raymond.
“Just a comment,” says Rain, “You guys do know that though I have accepted to undergo the police’s protection, I will still be going to work.”
“Yes, Yau Sir has notified us about it, but we still hope that you can try to stay here as often as possible,” Raymond acknowledges, “Even if possible, maybe you could work from here.”
Before Rain had a chance to protest, Matt and Mimi approach them. “Everything’s all set up Raymond,” informs Mimi.
“Yup, and all security is checked,” adds Matt.
“Yeah, so if you want to go back to the station, I have the first shift anyway,” says Mimi, hinting at Matt.
“Yeah, we better get back to the station,” says Matt, picking up the hint. “Let’s go Raymond,” he urges, pulling at Raymond.
Raymond, turning his attention back to Rain, “I’ll see you at tonight’s shift,” Raymond told her.
“See you tonight,” responds Rain, as Raymond and Matt left.

“So, talked to her yet?” Matt asked, as Raymond was driving them back to the station.
“Talked to who?” questions Raymond.
“Michelle,” answers Matt, a matter-of-fact. “Mimi said she talked to Michelle, but she wouldn’t say anything.” Seeing that Raymond had no reply, Matt continues, “I’m not trying to mother you and help you with your personal issues, but Michelle is a great girl, and if you don’t like her-“
“I did go the café,” responds Raymond. “Rain’s incident happened right next to it.”
“But do you like Michelle?” targets Matt. “It’s not even about whether or not you went. If you did like Michelle, then you wouldn’t without a second’s thought, just go to Rain, and forget all about your guy’s first date,” explains Matt. “In a sense, it seems like you show more care and concern for Rain Lee than you do Michelle.”
At that comment, Raymond jerks to a stop as he approached a red light.
“All I’m saying is, if you really don’t like Michelle, then maybe you shouldn’t be giving her any more false hope,” Matt concludes.

“It’s almost time for Raymond to take shift, do you need anything before I go?” Mimi asks Rain, who was working at her laptop in the bedroom.
Rain, not even taking a glance off her work, “No thanks.” Noticing that Mimi was still standing by the doorway, Rain finally looks up, “Would you like to ask me something?”

Raymond, though uncertain and reluctant, dials his cell, as he waited for the light to turn green. After four rings, the phone was picked up.

Upon hearing the doorbell ring, Rain slowly walks out of her room, in time to see Raymond shut the door as Mimi left. As Raymond turned to face her, she greeted with a smile, “Lam Sir.”
Raymond returned the gesture, “Miss Lee.”

“Miss Lee, are you hungry, the take-out just arrived,” Raymond asks Rain, as he stood by her bedroom door.
Rain, having not had a meal since morning, nods in acknowledgement.

As Rain and Raymond sat in the living room, eating in silence, Rain interrupts the silence, “Sorry.”
Raymond, surprised at the comment, and unknowing to its meaning, looks up at Rain.
Rain then too, looks up towards Raymond and explains, “Miss Lo told me about you and Miss Yip, sorry for causing you to miss your date.”
“Oh,” Raymond manages, in an awkward situation, “You don’t have to care about what Mimi says, she tends to exaggerate the actual incident.”
“If you want, I could go and explain the event to Miss Yip,” Rain offers.
“No, it’s not necessary,” answers Raymond, as he brushed off the thought.

“Omigosh Dear, you can’t be serious?”
“Mom, you really don’t have to worry,” Michelle assures, as she continues packing her suitcase. “I already talked to Aunt Mary last night, and asked Kaan Sir for the leave this morning, everything will be fine.”
“No, everything will not be fine,” her mom continues to protest. “How about me, how come you didn’t ask me about it? Am I going to be fine with it?”
Just then, Michelle’s dad walks into her room, and with a sigh, “What are you all upset about now?” he asks his wife.
“You,” Michelle’s mom accused, “How can you let your daughter just leave like this?”
“What’s wrong with her going a vacation,” he argues, “it’s not like your daughter won’t ever come back.”
“Dad’s right,” Michelle agrees, as she closes her suitcase, “you have to have some faith in your daughter mom, I can take care of myself.”
Ignoring her husband and daughter’s assurance, “What about Raymond, what does he have to say about this?” her mom asks.
Michelle, having a distinct change in expression, caught her dad’s attention. “Leave your daughter alone,” he steers his wife away from the topic, “go and make us some dessert,” he orders, gently pushing her out the door.
“Well then, you talk some sense into your daughter,” her mom left with the final words.
As her mom left, Michelle gives her dad a grateful smile, “Thanks Dad.”
Her dad, returning the smile, “You’re my daughter, I know that whatever you do, you thought about it a thousand times.” With that Michelle gives her dad a big hug, missing him already.
