Raymond propped his legs up on the chest and nibbled at the pencil again. He lifted his face and traced an invisible line on the ceiling. He was troubled. One of his sisters was blatantly lying for some mysterious reasons. Raymond did not like this at all. If one of his sisters, or in the worse case both of them, was entangled in this case, Raymond would sure be kicked out of the investigation team. Now Raymond sympathized with Sir Wong. It was indeed difficult to be a CID agent and not being able to help one’s own family.
But he still had sometime now before his supervisor, Sir Lam, removed him from the spot.

Antex’s main office, the office of the late Mr. Wong, was still sealed with police stripe tape. It looked particularly depressed under the rather sickening yellowish light. All the daylight was completely blocked out by the light blue plastic blinds.
Raymond coughed. It was suffocating inside. His colleagues had come and gone, performing all the necessary procedures on this site. Raymond sighed and proceeded to unfold the blinds. Light poured in. It was in this heavy leather chair that the late Mr. Wong was found dead. Silver crept up Raymond’s back. He shook it away and went around the desk to sit on one of the chairs at the other side.
Raymond didn’t have to wait long. Presently a rather tall and thin-built man walked in with brisk steps. His eyes were shrewd under the silver brim of his old-style spectacles, which reminds Raymond of those old English professors.
“Mr. Tong? I’m Raymond, CID”
“Nice to meat you, young man!” The other replied. The pitch of his voice made Raymond winked.
“I’m hoping to learn all you could offer regarding the late Mr. Wong, Antex, and your movement on the night of the murder, Mr. Tong” Raymond rushed straight to the point “You do realize it is a murder case, don’t you?”
“Yes, yes” The other sat himself down comfortably in a chair. He looked at Raymond from above the brim of this glass. Raymond felt slightly uncomfortable for some reason. The old secretary cleared his throat “I have been with Antex from day one”
“Late Mr. Wong and I are good friends. We built Antex from a tiny computer repairing shop with just the two of us until today. We currently have 22 people in this location including me”
“You have other locations?”
“We do have sale offices in Shanghai, Saigon, and California”
“Who takes care of those?”
“Felix looks after everything. He make frequent trips” The man explain promptly “We have local managers of course”
“Looks like Antex is doing fine despite the recent downcast of the economy?”
“We had to close two offices in Vancouver and New Jersey” The old man was precise in his term, and Raymond nodded approvingly. “General sale went down, we lost some, but it’s back to quite normal now!”
“You said just now you and the late Mr. Wong are old friends” Raymond switched the topic “What could you tell me about him?”
“Well” The old man took off his glasses and proceeded to clean it with a cloth from his pocket. “Yat Wah was a good businessman. He had great acumen, and he was willing to take risk. I guess that was too much for Barbara”
“Barbara?”
“Yes, his late wife” The old man’s eyes blinked as he hastily put on the glasses “God blesses her soul!”
“Barbara Yung, the famous actress?” Raymond suddenly recalled
The old man nodded. He got up abruptly and went to the wine counter. Raymond declined the offer, and the old man got himself a glassful of red wine.
Raymond waited patiently for the old man to get back. Presently the later nodded:
“But Yat Wah, he was a devoted father!”
“I thought his relationship with the second son was not too good?” Raymond interjected
“See” Mr. Tong took a sip of wine and his face relaxed into what Raymond thought a smile “Gallen is the exact copy of Barbara! The kid is exquisitely charming and utterly passionate. I guess Yat Wah hated seeing it in this son.”
“Seeing what in Gallen?”
“The thirst for acting! It’s in his blood, just like his mother!”
There was a long pause. Then Raymond switched the topic again "Tell me, Mr. Tong. What time was it that Gallen came and left on the night of the murder? Were you here the whole evening?"
"Yes, I promised Yat Wah a new folder of analysis! I'd left at the same time with Gallen."
"Oh!" Raymond knit his brown.

Raymond left the office pondering on what he found. So the wife was an actress. Raymond puzzled on what made Mr. Wong oppose acting that vehemently after having an actress as a wife. There must have been something that traumatized the late Wong Yat Wah in his early year. And Raymond was determined to find out. He had a feeling it was relevant to the case…
And was there something in Mr. Tong’s manner that puzzled Raymond? When the old secretary talked about the late Mrs. Wong, Barbara Yung? Raymond’s wicked mind played trick on him. He wondered…
