I heard nothing more, felt nothing more, sensed nothing more than absolute blankness…
I rushed over to where he landed, and gathered him into my arms. His face was amazingly untouched by the cruelest joke of fate, and under the soft light of the street lamp, was still as stunningly attractive as the day I knocked into him on Darling Harbour…
There was something difference with the whole picture. It wasn’t quite as it had been on Darling Harbour. He wasn’t moving at all!
He was so still, yet his body was still so warm. I slowly moved my hands up, wanting to move that unruly, carefree lock of hair away from his face…
My hand left a crimson mark on that tall forehead. I opened my palm and stared at it, unable to comprehend. Why was it all crimson? Why was it?
I winced… That sharp pain on my left chest! I clutched at it. I had no time to worry about it now. There was definitely something terribly wrong with the whole picture. It was just that I couldn’t comprehend. Simply couldn't!
But then the pain was gone just as fast as it came, and so did the crimson color on my hand. I looked down, seeking for his face and placed a kiss on his pale lips. His white shirt was so white it almost blinded me. Then he opened his eyes, smiled sweetly, and rose.
Catching my hand firmly in his, he let out a whisper as soft and smooth as an ocean breeze across my soul “Let’s go, Flora!”
I didn’t ask where we were heading to. It was just that utmost securing, utmost trusting feeling, having him holding my hands and leading the way.
We were running barefoot on the white sandy beach amid the magical sunset. No bright reddish orange horizon, but white! No jade blue ocean and no amethyst purple sky, but again, only a mysterious white!
…His loosely-tucked white shirt flapped wildly against his well-built torso, and his short jet-black hair floated freely in the ocean breeze…
He turned around, smiled, and let go of my hand
“Gallen!” I didn’t want to let go at all, not now, not ever... “Gallen!”
He brushed my cheek with his butterfly kiss that swept me away, and caressed me with eyes that drowned me thousand times before…
There were starlets in those eyes, I was very sure, but I couldn’t see it anymore. I wanted to, but I simply couldn't... The light around us became too strong… It blinded my own eyes...
“Gallen! Where are you?”
“Flora..."

The first time ever I saw your face
I thought the sun rose in your eyes
And the moon and the stars were the gifts you gave
To the night and the empty skies my love
To the night and the empty skies
The first time ever I kissed your mouth
I felt the earth turn in my hand
Like the trembling heart of a captive bird
That was there at my command my love
That was there at my command
The first time ever I lay with you
And felt your heart beat close to mine
I thought our joy would fill the earth
And would last ’till the end of time my love
And would last ’till the end of time
The first time ever I saw your face
I thought the sun rose in your eyes
And the moon and the stars were the gifts you gave
To the night and the empty skies my love
To the night and the empty skies
