When Vic fetched Gillian, at first they were a bit shy but after a while, they began talking non stop. And for once, she was not thinking of Edison at all. Gillian actually enjoyed her date with Vic although the movie was about 10 times scarier than she had thought.
*After the movie*
Vic: *laughs* Don't say I didn't warn you!
Gill: Warn me about what?
Vic: There's no need to hide it anymore! It's written all over your face. You were really frightened back then, right?
Gill: *blush* Well, yeah, I guess so. But hey! At least I didn't run out of the cinema!
Vic: Oh please! Who was the one screaming so loud?
Gill: *giggles* What? It was really scary but at least I managed to sit right through the whole show!
Vic: That's because you practically had your eyes closed the whole time!
Gill: No, I didn't!
Vic: I saw you, Gill! *giggles* You had your hands covering your face most of the time!
Gill: Hey, you were watching the movie or me?
Vic: Most of the time you.
Gill: *blush*
Vic: *giggles* You actually believed that? Actually, I was surprised to see how much you look like Toshio's mum!
Gill: Hey! Please don't talk about her. She scares me the most!
Vic: *laughs* If only your hair was as long as hers...you would be twins!
Gill: *hits him playfully* I am not!
Vic: *laughs* Come on. Let's get going. Your mom wants you back before midnight right?
Gill: Yeah, yeah. I know what you're going to say next. I'm mommy's little girl right?
Vic: *giggles* No. I was going to ask you how come you have to go home so early. I thought ghosts only comes out at midnight!
Gill: Oooh...you! *push him*
Vic: *stuck out his tongue* Catch me if you can! * starts running off*
Gill: You're always asking people to chase you! Not fair! *runs after him*
Suddenly, Gillian tripped and fell on the floor. Vic quickly rushed back to her side.
Vic: Are you alright? I'm so sorry
Gill: Oh, no. It's not your fault.
Vic: Want me to piggy back you?
Gill: I can walk, thank you!
Vic: Are you sure?
Gill: Yeah,positive!
Gillian got up and on the way to the car, Vic slipped his hand into hers. Gillian was surprised but she didn't pull away as they walk hand in hand. She felt her heart doing flip flops as she felt the warnth of Vic's hand in hers. Vic on the other hand was so relieved that Gillian had not pulled away. Now, at least he knows where he stands in her heart.
After Vic sent Gillian home, he was feeling on top of the world. He was so happy that their date went well and he really enjoyed himself. He also found out a lot about Gillian and each new thing about her makes him fall even more in love with her. He couldn't understand it but there's just something special about her.
*At home*
Gill: *thought to herself* Should I call Ed? I mean we're best friends, right? Best friends are suppose to tell each other everything!
After debating with herself, she decided not to call Edison as she was unsure of how she would react. However as the clock struck 12, Gillian began to feel frightened as flashes from Ju-On kept appearing in her mind. Finally, she decided to call Edison after Charlene's phone was engaged. After a few rings, Edison picked up.
Gill: Heyazzzzzzzz!
Ed: *thought to himself* She sounds really happy. Her date with Vic must have been good. I should be happy for her, yeah, I really should.
Gill: Hello? Anyone there? Mr Edison Chen?
Ed: Yes, I'm here. Why are you calling me so late?
Gill: Umm...you want the real reason?
Ed: Because you just came back from your date?
Gill: Well, no! I'm..well, uh....scared.
Ed: Scared? Of what?
Gill: I've just watched Ju-On.
Ed: *giggles* Then you should call your boyfriend not me!
Gill: Hey! I don't have any boyfriends!
Ed: Mrs Zhou!
Gill: Huh? Why are you calling Vic's mother? *giggles*
Ed: Cheeky girl!
Gill: Anyway, what are you doing?
Ed: Nothing much. Not everyone is as lucky as you to have a date, you know!
Gill: *giggles* Want to hear about my date?
Ed: *thinks to himself* Would I be able to handle it?
Gill: Hey, you there?
Ed: Yeah, yeah. I'm here. Go ahead. Tell me every single detail.
Gill: Vic's really sweet! I really like him. Oh, we held hands too!
Ed: What so fast? * felt his heart breaking*
Gill: *giggles* It was in prompto! You see, I fell down and...
Ed: You fell? How are you now?
Gill: *thought to herself* He sounds so concerned for me....oh, no,no. Gill, he's only concern as a friend not anything else!
Ed: Gill?
Gill: It's nothing. Just a few scratches on my knees.
Ed: This Vic. How did he look after you anyway?
Gill: *thought to herself* He's so sweet, he's melting my heart!
Gill: It's not Vic's fault.
Ed: *coldly* Oh
Ed: *thought to himself* She's already standing up for Vic. Oh Ed! Get over it! Gillian can never fall for you!
Gill: Ed! What are you thinking about? You always drift away from our conversation!
Ed: Oh, I'm sorry. A lot of things have been on my mind lately.
Gill: Like what? Can I help?
Ed: Nothing much.
Gill: Anyway, you want to hear about my date? Well, after I fell, he......
Ed: *cuts in* Sorry Gill. I'm a bit tired. We talk some other time, ok?
Gill: But.... *phone line went dead*
Edison thought he could deal with hearing Gillian talk about her date with Vic. However, he could not stop himself from feeling hurt with a tinge of jealousy when Gillian talked about Vic. He knew he couldn't continue with their conversation as he was afraid that he would break down.
Gillian was surprised at Edison's attitude on the phone. Was it just her imagination or did Edison sounded coldly whenever she talk about Vic? She couldn't understand it but she knew she has to preserve their friendship. It was the only way to get close to Edison. Although they're not meant to be, at least she could be his friend. Just to be there whenever he needed somebody.
On the other hand, Vic tried calling Edison to tell him about his date with Gillian but his line was engaged. He felt a bit upset when he found out that Gillian's line was engaged too.
Vic: *to himself* Nahh...they're just best friends. Gill's probably telling Ed about our date!
