Chapter 18

Their Last Day II

"Are you ready?"
Mikira smiled, "Ready when you are."
Keita knelt down beside Mikira then wrapped his scarf around her eyes to build suspense and excitement. He unwrapped the scarf after a while and in front of Mikira was a big box with a cute small ribbon on top. SHe smiled at him, "Woo, this looks pretty nice, did you wrap it?"
Keita scratched his back, "EH..well it's nice isn't it?"
She frowned but faked a smile to enlighten the atmosphere. Slowly Mikira placed her fingers on the ribbon to untie it, step by step she unwrapped the neatly composed present. By the last step she took a deep breath and Keita covered his eyes. Keita peeked in between his fingers but noticed a frowne on Mikira's face, "What's wrong?"
Mikira shook her head several times to make sure she was not mistaken, it was the same thing. Keita grabbed hold of her shoulders, "What's wrong? Don't you think it's nice? I made it myself, no lies however I asked someone to wrap it!"
Mikira blinked again and again until tears filled her eyes then collapsed onto the ground. Within a few seconds she had woken up, Keita didn't know what was going on and was devastated.
"Mikira, I'm sorry, you don't like what I made?'
She started crying again, "Why do all guyz do the same thing?"
Keita held back his words and closed the surprise box, "You..some..one, did this already?"
"And I nearly killed that guy, just go, I'm going to hurt you as well."
"You really don't want to eat this?" insisted Keita.
"No."
Keita left with his box and away he went. Mikira looked back her shoulder to make sure he left, she'd never imagined seeing the same kind of surprise Hiroki had given her. Once again another guy had made a sushi heart meal for her, could it have been fate. Mikira slouched down and cried.

Keita stopped at the bottom of the stairs and looked back up, "SHe said she nearly killed the guy that gave her something like this, what the hell does that mean?" He didn't continue walking down instead he ran back upstairs, he would never leave Mikira crying alone. "Mikira, it's not just some simple heart sushi meal, it has what I want for you. You will feel it!"
It was as if Mikira had heard his words, she stood up looking for Keita. MIkira ran towards the door, Keita ran towards the door, one it opened Keita swept Mikira off her feet. "Mikira, I won't left you go ever!"
She couldn't lift her head up, she was ashamed of herself. Having to be with a celebrity as big as Hisato and now in her heart there was another man. This feeling was different from what she had felt for Hisato, it was wrong. "Keita, I can't, stop!" she pushed him away but his pull was harder.
"Why?"
"I have Hisato, I can't do this, I don't even know what's wrong with me, this is happening just too fast!"
He gently brushed her hair, "Time doesn't matter."
Mikira avoided eye contact with him, one more look and she could have fallen into a trap, "No."
Keita gave up, "Fine, here's your meal, enjoy!" then almost immediately he turned back to leave.
Mikira shut herself up before calling him back. She knelt in front of the box then open it, slowly she ate one sushi at a time then she felt a bump. "What the hell, why did Keita put a rock inside a sushi?!"
She spitted out the rock and the remains then gasped. What rolled out of the sushi was not a rock, instead it was a ring with 2 hearts. Mikira tried holding back her tears but when she saw the engravings inside the ring she was unstoppable. Inside was engraved:

4ever 2gether - keikira

She laughed at the name but paused when the thought of Hisato hit her again. "What is Love?" Mikira slowly got up and laid herself on the fence, "So short yet so sweet."

Keita reached ground floor before he stopped, he looked back again just to check if Mikira had followed. Unfortunately as expected she didn't come after him. "Mikira, one day you'll know, you'll know how I feel for you. I'm not your average guy." Hisato stopped before he reached Keita, "Mikira?"
Keita spun around in a sec, "What eh no, I mean the song!"
"There was never a song that was called Mikira."
"It's old,"
Hisato raised his eyebrow, "You see Mikira?"
"Mikira? Um, I think I saw her outside in the field."
"But I came from outside."
"Eh, you must have missed her, darn!"
Hisato paused then left with another question. Keita walked aways quickly, "Damn, I don't have much time before he really knows the truth!"
