Chapter 9

Cherry Blossoms Part I

In Japan, the famous cherry blossoms are the highlights of the welcoming of winter. Every year Mikira would go out extra early to take a look at them, hoping the beautiful pink petals would never have to fall. "They're so beautiful, yet their time to shine is so short." Mikira closed her window and got dressed for school. Time has been going by very slowly, it was only the third day since the Izaki Twins' arrival. Yesterday Mikira's bedroom was filled with scrunched up tissues and jars of tears. Ryohei didn't even bother to cheer her up, "Any crazy girl in love will go crazy any minute, I'm not going to take my chances." She looked in the mirror one last time, if there was anything else that could be changed it would not be how she is outside. But how she is inside. Ryohei opened the door, he let out a sign of relief when he noticed the change of atmosphere.
"So, celebrities aren't that great you know. Forget about them, look at me I can go through high school without girls like Ayumi Hamasaki!"
Mikira ignored him.
"So like, are you going to eat? I made breakfast today!"
Mikira turned back a teensy bit, "Really?"
Ryohei ran up to her then held her tight with his arms, "Ryohei's special squeeze combo!"
Laughter filled the room after Ryohei's success in cheering up his sister.

Ryohei went to school before Mikira since she had to finish her breakfast. When he arrived to school, dozens of cars were parked outside their school. Reporters were scattered all over, he ran inside to find out what was happening.
"Hisato-kun, what do you think about studying aboard this school, any comments"
"Yusuke-kun, do you get lots of love mail everyday?"
"Do you think that you made a good choice in coming here?"
"Will you be postponing other on stage events?"
"Have you made any friends?"
They had completely surrounded the Izaki Twins, the girls were very annoyed. The girls pushed out the reporters but the reporters were stronger than the high school students. Soon the principal came out to shoo them away, it was a high school after all.

Mikira packed up all her stuff, she knew she was going to be late for sure. As she ran to drop off her plate, the tv screen switched to the school. At that very moment Mikira stopped to see what the heck was going on.
"WE're not at the high school that the Izaki Twins have stayed. REporters are scattered randomly among the high school seeking the two young stars unfortunately we were only to get a small footage of them in uniforms avoiding any conversations with the media. Here is the clip."
Mikira turned off the television then rushed to school. She stopped for a while to admire the cherry blossoms for possibly the one of the last times.
"It's already november, and only 10 more days 'til Decemeber. I won't see you again for at least another year..Oh gotta go, shoot!" She started to speed up her steps but tripped on a rock, "SHIT!"
"Need help?"
Mikira lifted her head at an angle where the sunlight directly blinded her eyes. She managed to lift her eyebrows slightly, a young man was holding his hand out. She gave him her hand then got up.
"Thanks, but I'm in a hurry, pay you back later!"
She turned back to give another smile then frowned.
"What? Do I look ugly or something?" asked the young man.
"You're..so familiar.."
He smiled, "Really?"
"Oh no, must be dreaming," she shook her head while she ran ahead.
The young man murmured, "So, that girl actually recognizes me.."
Mikira stopped to take in some air, "Could he be the one that was on with the Izaki Twins? Hmm, forget it, Im' just daydreaming," Mikira left quickly, on her way she dropped one of the keychains chained to her backpack. On it was printed:
"Love for one."
