Martha is right. She is always right. Seunghyun is currently pacing back and forth in his office, paralleling his glass-of-an-office desk which currently has different files and papers that either a) need his attention, or b) need his signature. And he can't concentrate on giving them that if not for Park MiYoung.
He grimaced again (remember, he was already grimacing when he talked with Martha) when he remebered the girl, and settled into watching the world outside his office from his glass windows. His office was in the 9th floor, and he could see the whole of the Metropolitan Seoul from here, the glamorous malls, the massive business buildings, the busy street outside where a traffic was already forming.
It's still freaking 8 in the morning, he thought, rubbing his temples.
But then, his eyebrows formed a line when he saw that the traffic was caused by a black car who was rampaging on the street, driving its way toward the street where his company is located. It stopped a block from the building, and out came a man in black uniform who is obviously looking for someone. But he seemed to see what he is searching for when his head stopped to spin around the area and walked toward the revolving doors of his building. The traffic in the area subsided for the black car was out of sight, but he saw it commiting an illegal left-turn 3 blocks from the building.
He was wondering about what that phenomena was about when Martha just barged in the office. She was pale and delivered a good but bad news.
"Seunghyun, she was here."
Seunghyun raised his eyebrow and was about to comment on how late that Park girl was when he processed the "was" part and ---
"According to the guards, she and a man in black uniform apparently were having a commotion in the lobby and---"
"WHAT?!" Seunghyun shouted.
"---and he shot her."
There was a pause, and Seughyun stalked out of the room, Martha tailing him, and both of them went to the elevators, which would bring them to the ground level.

[MiYoung's POV]
Oooh, my head's spinning. And...I can't even bring my eyes to open...
I tried to open it again, but the light that was shining directly on it was hurting me more. It reminded me of that bitter day when our family car crashed, my mom leaving me here on mortality, with dad, of all people...
I sighed as I remebered that. I can't even cry anymore. I think my tearducts are suffering from drought. Oh well, at least I'll not be wasting tears anymore...
I was about to fall back asleep and reminisce some of my happy memories with mom when,
*KREEEEEK*
someone appeared to have open the door.
And I, being alone for nearly a decade, learning that the world has everything from good to bad, from best to worst, and that anything and anyone can be a traitor and put my consciousness away, alertly sat up and opened my eyes. I can feel something sharp in my right rib, causing me to shriek and the someone to carefully lay me back in bed.
I blinked, and now my eyes are clear, I can focus on that person. He's a god coming straight out from Mount Olympus. That's the first thing that my mind ever processed. And then ---
Oh hell, did I just feel something on my ribs?! Ow, ow, ow---
"HEY! Watch what you're doing 'someone'! My ribs hurt you know, FYI!" I barked at that person. And guess what the person did?!
He chuckled.
HE ACTUALLY CHUCKLED?! I mean, HEEEEEELL! Did I just got from hell and then I went to another degree in hell?! I was stabbed by that two-faced bastard who actually thought he was handsome, and hey, did he actually think?! And then there's this someone chuckling at me as if he was watching a Rom-Com and---
What?!?! I was stabbed?! By that stupid piece of dipshit?! And who is this freakin' someone?!
"I was stabbed?" Shock filled my senses and I actually felt my face go pale. And I thought I was dreaming...
And 'someone' actually stopped chuckling. He turned into serious mode. "Yes, actually. And now that you mention it, why did you just sat up? Are you not concerned on your present condition milady? Did you just know now that you were stabbed?"
My eyes fled to his face. He is serious...and a god. QUIT IT MIYOUNG!
"Uhm, yeah, ooooooow---"
"Uh, here let me help you---"
"Did I just tell you that my ribs hurt?! And that you helping me is not exactly helping me but is doing the opposite?!"
'Someone' again chuckled. "Yeah, you mentioned the part that your ribs hurt. But you didn't mention that I'm doing the opposite. So, mianhe. Find your comfortable place."
I furrowed my eyebrows and carefully laid my body in bed. But then I can't see 'someone' properly for the light is really blinding me. "Uhm, can you help me with the pillows, cause, you know, the light is blinding me."
'Someone' softened up. "Oh, okay. Lift your upper body first....there..."
I grimaced when I felt the wound start to open when I got up.
"You okay?" 'Someone' asked. I nodded. "You sure? Okay. Here, the pillow is ready."
I rested my head on the pillow, and, for sure, I did see him now better, minus the blinding light. "Thanks, I think."
He smiled. Oh shoot, I'm gonna hyperventilate now... "Your welcome, I think."
I laughed. "You're good."
He chuckled. Though his chocolate orbs where still observing me for, I dunno. "I learn from the best patient, after all."
I smiled. He can actually make me smile AND laugh. TOUGH BREAK.
So, uhm, who are you? Or, do I KNOW you from somewhere?
I was about to ask him that when a guy in white laboratory gown appeared from the door. "Well, I see the patient has woken up already."
I blinked. Oh crap, blinking is getting to be a habit, I can feel it in my bones. "Uhhh, was I sleeping for a year?"
'Someone' and the guy in white gown chuckled.
"Nah, just for about 24 hours." The guy in white, who I supposed was the doctor, said. "So, are you feeling alright, Miss Park?"
"UHM, yeaaahh..I thin---" WAIT. WAIT A FREAKIN' DAMN SECOND. DID HE JUST CALLED ME BY MY LAST NAME?!
SO HE KNOWS ME?! ALL ABOUT FREAKIN' MOI?!
"Well, as you know and very well feel, you're right ribs are fractured by the stab and----blah blah blah"
The doctor mentioned other medical terms that I can't follow and I can feel I am having an epistaxis right now. But I wasn't really bothered that my blood would be flowing in my face like a busting dam of water. What I was bothered about was the fact that he actually know me. Me, as in me, Park MiYoung. Daughter of the most coveted ring lord of downtown South Korea. Which means----
I took a peek of 'Someone''s face who was in my right. His expression was seriously set, his brown eyes fixed on the doctor's oh-don't-worry-she'll-be-fine-it's-just-a-minor-fracture-in-her-ribs expression, his thin lips forming a straight line as if it were ironed straight from the laundry shop and HE SUDDENLY LOOKED MY WAY.
I blinked again. DARN IT ALL IN HELL. Was I phasing-out that much?!
He smiled that smile again. It really made my heart melt and my insides warm.
Which means he must knew all about me. So will I still feel giddy like this when he arrests me or something, knowing all about me?
-------------------------------------------------------
i. am. freaking. tired.
i've got a major quiz on my major subject tomorrow, a midterm exam on college algebra (you know, the equations-inequalities-absolute values-complex numbers-what that hell are those-things in algebra) and a laboratory on chemistry 18.2. kill. me. now.
and yet, i have to still receive a comment. T_____T
is the story that shit?
oh well, if nobody comments, i'll just kill this stowee of mine. who wants to update when there's no one reading it right?
oh well, i hope someone will like the chapter. MiYoung not MIA anymore and damsel in distress is saved by 'SOMEONE'. Ooooh. So, who's SOMEONE?!
Oh yeah, MiYoung does say crap and all that jazz.
gtg!
