"No! I want that KIND of table napkin!"
"Aish, but MiYoung has a point; it won't blend with the salmon pink color, what's the use?!"
"BUT I WANT IT!"
"Geez, Aya, can you just leave it to the couple to make the decisions?!" Grandma Yuna complained, exasperated at the now irritable Grandma Aya.
Well, uhh. Here I am. In the Royal Garden's function hall. We were just polishing some minor details on the wedding --- YES, the wedding. Today's the day before the wedding, and...I can't really explain what I feel right now. I can't even coherently string words to make a sentence, what with all the proverbial wedding jitters...and to add to the tension, here's my one and only Grandma Aya, who is still grumpy that she didn't get to pick the 'right' table napkin. TABLE NAPKIN, for farking sakes.
"B-b-b-buuut..." Grandma Aya sure looked like she would break down and cry and stomp her feet any minute now. But she turned to me, with those farking puppy eyes. "MiYooooooung...pleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseletmedecidetheRIGHTcolorforthetablenapkinplease!"
Grandma Yuna rolled her eyes, and made a silent "NO" gesture. Grandma Aya saw that, glared at her, and then turned again to me, this time with tears in her eyes. Uh-oh. "Uh, Grandmaaa..."
"Well, it's just a table napkin, wifey. Let Grandma Aya decide on it. And besides, she desperately helped with the preparations, while considering our choices." Seunghyun said while draping his arms on my waist.
"YEY! YEY! YEY! YEY!" Grandma Aya, to my utter shock, jumped up and down with her high heels and pencil cut skirt. Everyone in the function hall looked at her, like she...uh, just won the lottery. Grandma Yuna tsked, but shook her head with a grin. I faced Seunghyun, who I forgot was with me.
"Are you sure it's a good idea?" I whispered.
He chuckled. "Yep. She desperately wanted to have her ideas be taken into consideration. So why not?"
"BEAT THAT YUNA! Thanks to 'OUR' grandson, he accepted my suggestion!"
I gulped. He laughed softly. "Don't worry about it wifey. It's just a table napkin."
"Huh, heard that Aya? It is only for a table napkin. Nothing major." Grandma Yuna remarked, frustration etched on her beautiful face.
"Weeell, I was thinking..."
I groaned. Out loud. "You see??" I complained to him. He scratched his head cutely while sheepishly smiling. Grandma Aya jumped for joy, AGAIN.
But Grandma Yuna's irritation has reached the boundary line, obviously, since she walked out while throwing her arms in the air, while complaining loudly, "FINE! Maybe you thought I don't know what you and Joon had agreed, huh, so wait 'til Joon hears about this."
"YUNA! You CAAAAAAN'T!" Grandma Aya scampered towards Grandma Yuna, who was now running away and exiting the hall. Leaving me and Seunghyun alone, bewildered and shocked with what happened.
"Are they our ancestors? Really?" I asked.
Seunghyun chuckled. "Can't say why not. You sometimes act like that."
I growled. "What did you say?"
He laughed out loud, and bear-hugged me. "See? You immediately get mad with something I just teasingly said."
I slapped his arm. He kissed the top of my head, and sang a tune while twirling both of us in the middle of the function hall. Seunghyun felt so warm, and with the help of the lightning, the arrangement of the flowers scattered on the stage and tables, and the over-all ambience of the place, I closed my eyes. Everything just fell right into place, putting the events of yesterday as a bad nightmare.
"Wifey? You asleep?" Seunghyun whispered into my ear. I shook my head. He chuckled.
"You just feel so right." I replied, then buried my blushing face into his chest.
"What? Sorry, didn't catch that..."
I rolled my eyes. If I know, he just want to hear it over and over again. After that incident with my cous---, er, Jaebom, we were always like this when we're alone. No, even when the Elders or Big Bang were present, he would still do cheesy yet lovable stuff. Seunghyun always made me forget about my past, even my present; always giving me hope for the future...our future. And with a couple of hours before we would be religiously and traditionally be together, I can't help but give in and respond to him.
I looked into his eyes, which were full of mischief, of seriousness, of love. "You just feel so right."
He smiled, and pecked me on the lips. And pecked. And pecked. And pecked. Until he lingered on my lips for a moment, and the kissed deepened. His lips gentle, yet insistent. Full of love, and yet, the sexual attraction still visible on the equation.
One hand went into my hair, the other wrapped in my waist. I hooked my arms into his neck, deepening the kiss more. Then, his celfone rang and vibrated in his breast pocket. He still continued to kiss me, but I was getting a little bit distracted. I broke the kiss.
"Your phone." I breathed heavily, my arms still locked in his neck.
"Don't care." Then dove into my lips. I chuckled under his lips, but managed to stop him when his phone was ringing very loudly.
"Damnit." Then pecked my lips again, and got his phone from his pocket. "This better be good." He answered.
His expression was still the same, except that the look in his eyes where a bit...different. A little hard and cold. It was over two to three minutes before he replied with a, "Okay. Be there. Bye."
I could tell that it was important. So I shrugged and directly said, "I know that was important so don't go make excuses that you want to stay with me. Finish what you need to do, okay?"
He obviously wanted to make an excuse, since his expression was a bit dumbfounded, then his expression turned into a worrisome. "But there would be no one..."
"I can call Daesung, or Taeyang...?"
"Uh, actually, it was Big Bang who called..." He explained, trying to pick his words.
Another mission. I gulped mentally. I can't let him see me worrying. I should be strong, for him, for the two of us. "Oh, okay."
He raked his hands through his hair, obviously having a hard time deciding what to do. "Do you think you'll be okay in your Elders' house? I'll just pick you later for dinner..."
I shook my head, hooking my arms back into his neck. "Seunghyun, we weren't supposed to be meeting starting dinner until tomorrow, right? So yeah, I'll be okay there. There's Grandpa Joon, Grandma Aya, Mickey, and Mouse...and..." I hesitated. "And even HeeChul..."
He sighed. "And even HeeChul."
I tried to smile. "Don't worry. Just go and do it. And make sure you'll still be safe and sound."
"Yes, mother." He rolled his eyes. I pinched his ears.
"Hey--hey! Aish, MiYoung, you're starting to be a commander-in-chief wife...well, not that I complain..." He teased. "In fact, I love it."
"Aigoo. You're just making yourself late, Choi Seunghyun." I sternly said. Then kissed his lips. "Now, you want me to accompany you to your car?"
He laughed. And we went to the lobby of Royal Garden's, debating and planning what we should do when we were already married.
---
[Seunghyun's POV]
God, help me now.
How am I going to marry MiYoung and yet manage to keep her safe when the enemy is all along lounging on the Parks' residence?!
[FLASHBACK]
"This better be good." I answered my phone, MiYoung within ear-shot to hear what GD is freaking calling me right now. They know I'm accompanying MiYoung with the last minute preparations, and if he's calling me right now...
"T, we now have a fucking lead. And it isn't bad. It's the worst."
Pause. And then---
"Okay, we double-checked where you are located right now, so MiYoung must be within ear-shot. So just listen and respondsss later." He hurriedly explained. "The last companion of Jaebom the night before he kidnapped MiYoung was Park HeeChul. And...and since we don't have the luxury of explaining to you in details in the phone how that happened, so I'll get straight to the point that HeeChul is the one planning everything all along. From MiYoung's stab, to the Warehouse 531's shooting spree, to the---"
I don't want to hear the end of it if GD didn't tell it to me personally and in details. "Okay. Be there. Bye."
[END OF FLASHBACK]
MiYoung was happily bantering with me, and I have to keep up with the happiness. We finally arrived on the parking lot. We located my car, with Taeyang aka HyunJoong appearing on my side. He opened the door for me. I turned to him and signed to go into the driver's seat, and he bowed. I turned to MiYoung, who I observed was fighting her tears.
"Why the tears?" I asked. I felt like crying myself when I see her like this. She must have an idea where and what I'm gonna do, since I mentioned Big Bang...
"What? What tears?" She smiled. Then kissed my lips. "You better be present at OUR wedding, araso?" She sternly ordered, her eyes swimming with emotions.
I could have chuckled at her order, but instead I gently replied with an "Araso." and kissed her. Kissed her in a way like I would never see her again.
NO, NO, NO. Stop that trail of thought Seunghyun! I broke the kiss off. I smiled at her, and kissed her forehead. "If there's an unusual thing creeping up, call me immediately, or any of Big Bang, okay?"
"Okay." She nodded.
I saluted her, which made her nervously laugh. I called one of her bodyguards, and instructed him to protect her in any way and call him up when something's gone wrong. Only then did I went inside the car, with Taeyang murmuring on his headset.
"Daesung on the run?" I asked, ridding myself of my business suit and into the gear GD had prepared on the backseat.
"Yep. Tailing his every move." He looked at me on the rearview mirror. "Ready, T?"
"As I'll ever be."
