Suddenly the class turned silence that you can actually hear a pen dropped. After a second delayed, all the girls scream on top of their lungs. Sunny and I exchange look saying that they’re crazy and we end up laughing.
“You may sit next to Youngie. Yongie can u raises your hand, hope you can help ryeowook and assist him around the school”. I raised my hand and nodded towards Mr. Tang.
“Songsengnim, why does Ryeowook oppa have to sit next to the slut? This is so unfair” said one of the girls in my class. Then the rest of the class started with the argument which causes me to feel so low and so small. Gosh just when I thought I was being invincible after Seong Jae oppa left. I thought this year they will treat me like wall just like last year. I guess I’m wrong this year. Why do I feel danger ahead of me?
“I hope you don’t mind me sitting next to you” Ryeowook said cutting my thought. I looked at him blankly.
“Is there something on my face?” I realized I stared at him for so long that I started to laugh.
“Oh... I’m sorry it’s very rude of me to stare at you. I hope we can be friends since we’re sitting partner. You can call me Youngie”
He smiled at me. “Wow, you’re different from those screaming girls. I’m glad to be your friends please call me Ryeo”
Mr. Tang hit the table with a book “Class settle down, and you Miss Sun Ah please mind your language. No foul language allowed in my class. UNDERSTAND!!!!” the class turned silence. You really don’t want to mess with Mr. Tang if he’s mad. “Please continue...” pushing the other two new students to the front.
“Annyeonghaseyo... cho nun Oh Seong Jae imnida” The class gasped including me. I turned around from talking to Ryeo to the front. This can’t be true... omg he’s back!!!! He’s back!!!!
“Annyeonghaseyo... cho nun Lee Jeong Rii imnida. Just to let the whole class know I’m Oh Seong Jae’s fiancé. Hope you girls are not drooling over him yet” she said smiling and holding into Seong Jae’s oppa arm. He smiled at her and nodded. Am I dreaming? Did I see what I think I saw? I feel like my heart beat stopped. For one moment I thought my source of happiness is back but the next second it’s been taken away from me.
Ryeo’s POV
“Annyeonghaseyo... cho nun Oh Seong Jae imnida” That’s what I heard that makes youngie turned around with a bigger smile. I was wondering who’s the guy that makes this girl has that smile plastered on her face. She must’ve known that guy or does she have a crush on him. He is hot. Love at first sight? I really don’t understand girls.
I starred at her reaction as the new girl introduces herself. Within second I sense a bad aura coming from her. Her eyes get watery but there’s no single tear drop, her face turn sour. The girl in front of me looks at me and then looks at her. “Youngie ah, gwenchana (are you alright)? Is that guy Seong Jae oppa? Why is he with that girl? Gwenchana?”
I gave the girl in front a puzzled look. I’ve seen this girl somewhere...but where? I turned to the front to see the scene. I got the feeling that the new guy is bound to hurt girls’ heart, a player perhaps. I look at Youngie and gave her some encouraging smile and to my surprise she returned my smile.
“Please class SETTLE DOWN. DO YOU GUYS WANT TO UNDERGO ANOTHER DISCIPLINARY ACTION? Please both of you, no romance in the class that’s an ethics you need to follow plus don’t bring any of your personal matters to school. This is not a drama class that you need to get a lot of attention….”
Mr. Tang go on and on with his lecture to the whole class especially to the new students who are still standing in front. I felt glad I introduce myself first or else I will be with them. “Please sit at the back where there are two seats available behind Youngie”
Youngie’s POV

My train of thought stopped. Did Mr. Tang say my name? Seong Jae oppa looked at me and hold Jeong Rii’s hand. Why does he have to do that in front of me? Damn that bastard. I should have seen it coming. He should at least give me a hint so I won’t be this shocked. I’m so pissed at the moment that if I have a knife with me I can give myself a stab on my heart so that I don’t have to feel the pain that I feel right now.
Finally it’s lunch break. I walked out with Ryeo and Sunny and suddenly a hand grabbed me from behind and drags me to the rooftop. It’s none other than oppa whom I once miss so much.
“What do you want now? I think I got the hint clearly already. You don’t have to explain everything” I said as I walk towards the door.
“Youngie ah, Mianhye~ I didn’t mean to hurt you this way. You’re a great girl and I do like you. Your smile, your strength, your openness, your understanding, your everything that makes me like you in the first place made me a bad person in your eyes because I hurt you. I worked so hard to preserve the feeling so that my feeling will stay the same. But…”
“Stop it... what’s the use of you telling me all this.” I shouted as i closed my ears
“I’ve been waiting for you all this years, I missed you. I trusted you. It turns out I’ve been fooled by my own stupidest” I whispered and my eyes started to get watery.
“Since when did you and Jeong rii are engaged?”
“It’s been 6 months. It was our parent’s decisions and I go along with it since we’re childhood friends. Youngie ah... Look at me” Seong Jae said as he touched my chin.
“If there’s in this world that can help me ease you pain I would. But I know I won’t be able to find that, since I am the source of your pain. I hope we can be friends like we used to. I’m sorry I can’t love you no more as my heart belong to another. I know what I said hurt you a lot but I hope you would understand and you will not hold any grudge against me. I know you need time to digest all this. For now, we just act like we don’t know each other. It’s for your benefit. Take care of yourself” there he walked out and left me alone. I stood there speechless.
