School is the same as usual. Trying to survive having oppa presence around me. Although it’s hard I have to endure it. After school, Sunny dropped me at a kimbap place just in front of SM Entertainment, where I work part time as a waitress. She left to have a training session everyday after school. Sometime celebrities came to our restaurant but usually it’s just the staffs. Ever since I worked there I have not met any famous people. Maybe they came when I’m not there. I’m just not lucky enough.
I changed to my waitress outfit and smiled at my colleagues. I love my work so much since the people here are like a family and since we all live together. Yeah, my boss, Miss Kim and two other colleagues, Joo Rin and Yoo Jin. They all worked full time unlike me I still have school to attend to.
“Youngie ah, Gwenchana? Why do I feel that u have a dark cloud above your head?” Joo rin said. Yoo jin looked at me with concern.
“Gwenchana...” I smiled.
“I finally met Seong Jae oppa and we broke up and he’s engaged” I summarized the whole story.
“mwoh (what)!!” Both of them shouted.
“What a bastard. Who does he think he is hurting my favorite dongsaeng (lil’ sister)” Joo rin said. Yoo jin holds Joo rin to calm her down.
“Joo Rin ah, dont make this problem anymore worse. Youngie ah, gwenchana? You can go home and take a rest. We can handle the matters here”
Joo Rin and Yoo Jin. They are my only friends outside school. It’s not like I’m not friendly, I think it’s because of the fact that I’m used to being alone and not being taken care or except by Mrs Ock, my caretaker. We didn’t even start in a civil way when I started to work.
Flashback

“Annyeohaseyo, I heard there’s a vacancy available. I was wondering if I can take the job,” I said to Miss Kim, the owner of the kimbap place.
“Well hello there, you are the third to come for this job. Why not I let my workers show you around and test for your service here”, Miss Kim said as she walked me to her workers.
“Guys, here’s our third candidate for the week, Kim Youngie,” she added as she push me towards 4 people in front of me.
“Hello there, we both permanent here. Im Joo Rin and she is Yoo Jin,” Joo Rin introduce herself as she points at Yoo Jin.
“The other two is the same as you, an intern,” Yoo Jin said.
“For the duration of a week, you guys are going to be under our supervision. We order you guys around and examine whether you can handle the stress espescially during peak hours.”
“Neh (Yes)…” We all said in unison.
It’s was the beginning for the week, and it is also the end of the month. People tend to go out and celebrate during month end. Therefore, the kimbap place is busier than usual. I did mention to the manager, Miss Kim, that I only be able to work after school. Although the other intern take this as bias, im glad that Miss Kim is understanding.
After class I rushed to my dorm to change my cloths and bring some of my cloths just in case something came up. On my way to the place, I met some girls in my class.
“well well well if it’s not the infamous Youngie. Who took our beloved Kingka away from us”. I step backward ready to run when I realised that the other girls got my back.
“Hey girl, I you trying to run from us? You THINK you can RUN AWAY FROM US HUH!!!!” the girl at the middle said as he walker and push my head. I was pushed to the ground. Don’t cry Youngie ah Don’t cry. Stay calm. You’re not going to die. Seong Jae oppa is not here to help you. You have to stand on your own.
“Wh..at.. do.. you.. err waaa..nt frooom me…?” I startled. I choked on my tears, trying my best to held it.
“owh.. poor baby~ no one going to save her. Your oppa is no longer here to save you. hahahahahaha” the other girl said as she started to kick me and push me. I winched in pain.
Baby? I miss some one calling me by that name.. oppa save me.. oppa~ I see nothing but black. Soon I realised I was in a deep sleep.
I woke up and realised I was in the hospital. “Why am I here? I cant afford the hospital expenses. I need to get out of here”
“Wait Youngie ah, Miss Kim already covered your expenses. You have to stay here and wait for the doctor to do a check up on you,” Yoo jin said concerned.
“Who brought me here?”
“We don’t know. A guy called our store saying that one of our employees are taken to the hospital.” Yoo Jin added.
“How did he know I worked there?” i asked. "A Secret Saviour?, Who is he? i want to thank him," i thought.
“Ya pabo, you were wearing our uniform. Stop asking question and get some rest. It’s been a long night waiting for you to get up. Im glad you’re fine. Do you know who did this to you?” Joo Rin said as she’s been silent the whole time.
I shake my head.
“I know you know them. But you’re afraid to tell me. I can get my hand on this.”
“What do you mean Joo Rin unnie?”
“Joo Rin ah, calm down” Yoo Jin said. “Youngie ah, gwenchana? Does it hurt somewhere?”
“na gwenchana.” I answered smiling. I felt the warmth from them it’s been a long time I felt secure around people.
“Why are you guys treat me this way? You guys barely know me. Plus you guys are mean to me at work ” People seems to have grudge against me nowadays but I hope that they are not among those people.
“Well, me and Yoo Jin are friends since I cant remember and you remind us of…” Joo Rin choked. “…of someone we use to care of”
Suddenly Yoo Jin start to cry. “She used to smile a lot like you. The three of us are really close, that when she left us, the impact was so intense and severe”
“She is more or less like you. We are very unfortunate people. We didn’t manage to go for college as we’re not that smart like you. Maybe we’ll try our luck in the next few years. She is Miss Kim’s younger sister. That’s why we decided to work for her to help her around. She didn’t like the idea at first but she gave in eventually.” yoo Jin added.
“ We all like you because eventhough we’re mean to you, you still manage to keep that smile on your face. Unlike the others, they fight back and those B*tches cause nothing but trouble at the store. Not only lazy but hardcore fans. They thought that they can meet celebrities while they work there. I cant believe those girls. They’re so loud when they scream giving me nothing but a headache. So you better get well soon. We need you more than those girls.” Joo Rin said laughing. I laughed with her and soon Yoo Jin join us.
"Hey you want to stay with us? it's just above the kimbap place. it's not that far from your high school anyway. just fifteen minutes walk maybe or you can use the frequent bus," Joo Rin said.
"Errrrm.. i don't want to cause trouble," i said
"Don't be silly. You not trouble at all. We actually got a room to spare. we live with Miss Kim. i'm sure she doesn't mind. We all can be like a big family," Yoo jin said smiling.
"Well... you you insist"
"YEY!!!," Yoo Jin and Joo Rin shouted as they hug me.
"Yah, this is a hospital, no shouting. And it hurts when you guys hug me," I said laughing.
"Ah Mian Mian," They said continuously.
End of flashback
“Gwenchana. I admit it still hurts at the moment. But life has to move on right. Just because I was dumped doesn’t mean I can’t find another love right.” I said with a smile.
To my surprise I feel my heart is empty. I guess because I cried my heart out before I came to restaurant really helped me. Both of them just look at me on the eyes and gave in. So we all went outside and do our normal task. Little that we know we will have a surprising customers. But im glad unnies are here for me. … and also that guy from the other night at Han River. Who are you?
We started to work like normal.but little that we know we have an unexpected guests.
