My Type of Girl! [Completed]

by Hope

Chapter 1

Running as fast as she could, she did not notice the guy coming out of the building, and ran right into him, causing him to drop all of his papers to the ground.

“Omigosh, I'm so sorry,” she apologized, as she quickly knelt down to help him pick up the papers.

“No, it’s all right,” he assures, as he too started to pick up his drawings.

Noticing the drawings, she picked up one in particular, “Did you draw these?” she asked.

“Yeah, they’re advertisements for my client,” he responded, as he quickly looked over at the drawing she was holding out towards him.

“They’re all very pretty,” she commented as she quickly put them back into the pile she was holding.

“Thanks,” he says looking up at her, and was instantly attracted, as she begins to look up at him.

“Here you go,” she says, as she picked up the last of the drawings, and finally looks up to him, surprised to find an attractive guy looking back at her.

“Thanks,” he manages to say, as he kept his sight on her.

Feeling awkward by his attention, she asked self consciously, “I’m sorry, is there something on my face?” she asked, gently touching her cheeks.

“N-no,” he answers, embarrassed.

Smiling at his reaction, “I better get going,” she says, pointing into the building, “Sorry again for causing you to drop all those drawings.”

“No, it was my fault for not noticing you coming,” he reassures.

“Well, see you,” she bids, as she went into the building.

“See you,” he says, as he watches her walk into the building, then as he turns away, he quickly turns back to the building, “Hey...” he calls, but she was nowhere to be seen.

“Rain Lee!”

“Yes, Michelle Yip,” Rain responds, running out of her room and into the living room.

“I thought we decided to have a house clean-up?” Michelle stated.

“We did, remember?” Rain recalls for her.

“Of course I remember,” Michelle retorts, “But you obviously didn’t. Look at this,” she says pointing to the boxes around her, “All these boxes to-go belong to me,” she says, as she picks up one small box by the side of the couch, “And all you have to give up is this tiny box of nothing?”

“Guess I don’t have as much useless things as you, hey?” Rain tries to find an excuse for herself.

“No, it’s because you aren’t throwing anything away,” Michelle scolds, “even if they belong in the garbage.”

“No, that’s not true,” Rain tries to explain, “I’m sure they will come in use some time or later. And besides, at least I’m trying to clean up, I mean, look at...” Rain trails, as she realizes her mistake.

“Leila Tong!”

“Yes, Michelle Yip,” Leila finally responds after seconds.

“What took you so long?” asks Rain, remembering her speed response.

“Omigosh, I’m talking to this really great guy online right now, and we...” Leila starts, but then quickly stops as she picks up Rain’s hint, and guiltily turns back to Michelle. “Hey, so are we done cleaning up?” she says cheerily.

“I’m done, but I’m sure you both aren’t,” Michelle says, throwing the guilt on them.

“I know, I know,” Rain obeys, “I’ll go and seriously pack everything I don’t, don’t need in the boxes.”

“Yup, I will too,” Leila agrees, but adds, “Just as soon as I finish talking to...” before she could finish, she caught Michelle’s look, “I think I’ll just clean up first,” she changes idea and quickly runs to her room.

“Hey, whatcha doing? I thought you were going to clean up your room first?” Rain asked, plopping herself onto Leila’s bed, finding Leila on the computer.

“I am, I am, I just wanted finish my conversation first,” Leila replies, not looking away from the screen.

“Okay,” Rain says, picking up one of Leila’s stuffed elephant, “I guess when Michelle’s done cleaning my room, she can clean yours as well.”

Upon hearing the comment, Leila quickly looked over at Rain, and turning back towards the computer to type one final message, she turned off the computer and began to clear up her room.

Rain, smiling, taunts, “I knew I could get you to clean your room, and Michelle said I wouldn’t be able to.”

Leila stopped picking up her stuff and threw a stuffed brown teddy at Rain, just as Rain dashed out of the room, “You tricked me!”

“See, you have so much stuff you don’t need,” says Michelle, hearing Rain approach, as she finishes up putting the last box together in Rain’s room.

“But I do need them, you just put them in the box,” Rain reasons, picking up some of the things she saw in the box.

“No, you don’t,” Michelle assures, “You just think you do, but if you don't throw all the useless things away, how are you going to put in the new things.”

“Yeah, I guess,” Rain admits disappointed, but then quickly cheers up, “Hey, you know what, I think we should help Leila clean up her room!”

“So, need any help?” asks Michelle, as Rain and her walked into Leila’s room.

“No, of course not, I’m not like Rain, I can decide on what I want and what I don’t want, I just need to find the time to do that,” Leila assures, filling up her second box.

“That’s true,” Michelle agrees.

“Hey, don’t start ganging up on me” pouts Rain, “I hope you guys know I am very decisive, and can decide things on my very own,” she declares confidently.
