“Thanks so much Raymond,” Lily gratifies. Then leans over and kisses Raymond on the cheek, “I’ll see you later.”
“Yup, bye,” Raymond bids with a smile. Seeing Lily head off down towards the elevator, Raymond turns around to return to his office. In turning around, he sees Michelle in the opposite direction. Raymond puts on a welcoming smile, “Hey Michelle, you wanted to see me?”
Disgusted at his casualty to situation she just witnessed, “If I didn’t have to, then no, I wouldn’t want to see you,” she slips out in anger.
Raymond, caught off guard by the attitude, “Michelle, is everything all right?”
“Everything’s fine Mr. Lam,” Michelle informs him.
Quickly approaching Michelle, Raymond continues to ask, “No, something is not fine,” he confronts her. He then goes to reach out to her arm, only having her forcefully shrug it off as Ron turns the corner.
“Raymond-“ Ron starts, then immediately cuts himself off on seeing the actions between Michelle and Raymond. “Sorry… I’ll come back later,” he excuses.
“No, Ron,” Michelle calls out to him before he could leave. Then turning her glare back to Raymond, “If you have the time, please sign this and have it sent back to me,” she tells him, shoving him the folder. With no further delay, Michelle turns around and brushes past Ron to head back to her own office.
Ron, having no clue of what had happened, “Did I just miss something?” he asks the dumb-founded Raymond, still standing in the same position.
Raymond even more put out by the behavior, responds in frustration, “I don’t even know what I did. She just got mad at me and didn’t bother to explain why.”
“Well, you must of done something, even if it’s a little thing,” Ron points out.
Raymond, not knowing what he could have done wrong, “I don’t know.”

“And what, may I ask it that?”
Edison quickly looks up from the “Gift Dolls” sitting on his desk to see Ron standing before him. “What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be out for lunch like everyone else?” he asks, glancing around the empty office department.
“I should, but I’m not,” Ron directly answers, then steers back to the topic. “You still haven’t answered my question, what’s that?

Raymond, pouring himself another cup of coffee in the lounge, heads back to his office. Upon doing so, he hears a distant conversation becoming clearer.

Is it for Rain?” Ron continues to persist in an answer.
Edison, putting the “Gift Dolls” back in his desk drawer, retorts, “Since when is it you to be nosy about these things, been hanging around Leila too much lately?”
“Probably,” Ron admits. “But that still doesn’t answer my question. “Honestly guy, if you like Rain, then tell her.”
“Easy for you to say, you aren’t the one who’s been crushing on one of your best friend’s ex,” Edison points out.
“True,” Ron acknowledges. Then adding, “But Raymond and Rain broke up, and Raymond’s long over Rain. It’s not like you guys will become enemies over a past relationship. Raymond’s no petty man.”
“Man, I hope not.”
Hearing the familiar voice, both Edison and Ron immediately turn to see Raymond approaching them.
“Raymond…” Edison doesn’t know where to start explaining.
“If you’re going to tell me sorry, damn, I’m going to punch you,” Raymond tells him seriously. Then seeing the expression on both their faces, he smiles, “I don’t make friends with wimps.”

“Well, Raymond sure took it well,” Leila acknowledges, as she changes her position within Ron’s arms on his living room couch.
Pulling Leila closer from the night air, “You seem surprised,” Ron questions teasingly, facing down towards Leila.
Looking up at Ron, “I’m impressed,” Leila points out. “I like a man who is able to accept and let go.”
“Hmm… should I be feeling jealous of Raymond,” Ron plays along. “But he has better taste than I do.”
Leila shows a glare at Ron with an insulted expression, then trying to get up from his hold, “Fine then, let go.”
Ron, holding onto Leila even tighter, “Can’t. Remember, I’m not a man who is able to let go.”
Knowing that Ron won, Leila puts on an approve smile, “Really?”
Ron looks at Leila with a triumphant smile and nods. The night sky that shone through the vast balcony window seemingly caused her eyes to glisten, as he felt captivated in her eyes. Slowly, he leans in towards her, cutting off their distance, and gently kisses her lips.

“Well, someone sure is home late,” Rain teases upon Leila walking into their apartment. “And here I thought you’d be staying the night at Ron’s.”
“You’re lucky you didn’t make that bet,” Michelle confronts Rain.
Closing the door behind her, Leila plops onto the couch next to Rain with Michelle taking up the whole armchair. “I don’t think so dear,” Leila says, wrapping her arms around Rain’s arms, and using the blanket they had out to cover herself up.
“It wouldn’t be that big a deal anyway,” Michelle points out.
“What do you mean ‘it wouldn’t be that big a deal anyway’?” Rain questions. “They haven’t even been seeing each other long.”
Leila, eyes closed from weariness, agrees, “Rain, Rain, Rain. Time doesn’t say anything, it’s all on how you feel about the relationship.”
“And you actually think your relationship with Ron has gone that far?” Rain asks. Getting confused, “Seems like everyone’s relationship is going all out of place.”
Leila, hearing the comment, sits up and looks directly at Rain. “It doesn’t matter if everyone’s relationship is going all out of place, but just make sure your relationship with Edison is in place.”
“What?!” Rain surprises at Leila’s sudden directness about the situation.
“Leila has a point,” Michelle sides. “You can’t avoid it forever, we know that you know Edison has feelings for you.”
“Even if you didn’t know, you should at least sense it by now,” Leila adds.
Rain, feeling surrounded, “Hey, stop ganging up on me, I’ll figure it out,” she declares. “Besides, I’m not the only one who is avoiding things,” she targets her look to Michelle.
Seeing the stares, Michelle defends herself, “What?”
“True, true,” Leila acknowledges. “Ron told me about your little grudge against Raymond recently.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Michelle brushes it off.
“Okay, well, you see,” Rain directly gets to the topic. “Supposedly Raymond must have done something stupid, and therefore caused some sort of misunderstanding. And because of that, you seem to have been holding a grudge about it. Any new info we should know about?”
“And like you said, you can’t avoid it forever, we know that you have feelings for Raymond,” Leila taunts.
Rain nods in agreement. “And Raymond must have feelings for you, otherwise he wouldn’t even care about whether or not you have mistaken him.”
Michelle, hearing both Rain and Leila’s words, does not respond.
