(Fion went to look for Zoe, at Zoe’s doorstep) (she rings the bell)
ZOE: (opens the door) Fion! Why are you crying? What happened? Your eyes are swelling! Come in first…
FION: (cries sadly) Zoe, Zoe Ah……
ZOE: (comforts her) Silly girl. What happened? Tell me, so I can help you…
FION: Jer… Jerry Ah……
ZOE: (thought that Jerry had done something to her) Huh? What had he done to you? Do you need to call the police?
FION: (Still crying) No… Jerry told me that he wouldn’t see me again…
ZOE: (sighs) You should have expected this when you agreed to marry Lik Hang…
FION: But… But I never thought Jerry was so important to me…
ZOE: So how? You don’t want to marry Lik Hang?
FION: (keeps shaking her head) I don't know… Don’t ask me so many questions… Let me calm down first…
ZOE: (nods her head) Emmm, then you take a seat here first, I’ll get you a cup of tea, ok?
FION: (tries to calm down) Ok, thank you.
ZOE: (after 20 seconds she comes out with a cup of tea) Come, have a cup of tea first… You’ll feel better.
FION: (takes a sip) Am I very troublesome? And fickle-minded too… I want to be together with Lik Hang, yet I’m missing Jerry so much… I hate myself!
ZOE: So, what plans do you have now?
FION: I want to postpone my marriage…
ZOE: (taken aback) Huh? How are you going to break the news to him?
FION: I’ll tell him my dad and mum can’t put down them business in Vancouver, and I’ll tell him to wait for another year…
ZOE: You’re really sneaky! You have actually planned it all!
FION: But I don’t have the face to see Jerry again…
ZOE: Huh? Then why are you postponing your marriage?
FION: So that I bear a hope…
ZOE: To see Jerry again?
FION: (fighting tears) But… But he told me firmly just now that he won’t meet me again…
ZOE: Oh, your thoughts are all entangled together, and conflicting, I can’t help you… I think you’ll better make up your mind… Let things go their natural ways, at most… I’ll ask Jerry out on your behalf…
FION: (looks at Zoe, anxiously waiting for an answer) Will he still come out?
ZOE: Don’t worry, you can count on me… We’re now buddies.
FION: Buddies?
ZOE: (suddenly thought of something) Oh yes, you’ve better break the news to Lik Hang first before he makes any wedding preparations now…
FION: Oh yes!

(at Fion’s place)(she just came back)(past midnight)
LIK HANG: (running down from stairs) Fion! You’re back! You’re so late, I’m worried…
FION: I went to Zoe’s place.
LIK HANG: (laughs) Don’t misunderstand, I trust you. You must be asking her to be your bridesmaid.
FION: (pauses for a while) Lik Hang Ah…
LIK HANG: (looks at her) Yes?
FION: I want to… postpone our marriage, do you mind?
LIK HANG: What’s the reason?
FION: Daddy and Mummy said they could not put down their business in Vancouver for the time being… So I think… We’ll better wait for them…
LIK HANG: Oh…… You’re right. So for how long will you postpone it?
FION: One year.
LIK HANG: (shocked) Huh?
FION: Lik Hang, we have been together for so many years, it’s just another year.
LIK HANG: But…… I’m afraid one year later…
FION: (knows what he means) I’m already wearing your ring!
LIK HANG: Emmm……
FION: Are you afraid that I will run away? Or… does the problem lies with you?
LIK HANG: Ok… Whatever you say… Then I think you don’t need to quit for the time being…

PS: Looks like Fion really loves Jerry very much... But she still can't put Lik Hang down completely, why is that so? She knew the feelings between them has faded... Will she give up Lik Hang? Will Jerry eat his words??? Another Big surprise up in the next chp... Stay tuned!
