(one morning, at Yip’s home for the aged)
BOWIE: (to nurse) (flashes his pass with his colleague besides him) Police, May I know if Miss Yip Hiu Bing is here?
NURSE: Please take a seat while I ask her out. (walks away)
(comes back with Kris 2 minutes later)
NURSE: (signals to Kris) Kris, it’s them.
KRIS: (shakes hand with Bowie and his colleague) Hi, I’m Yip Hiu Bing, and you can call me Kris. May I know what’s the matter?
BOWIE: Emmm, it’s like this. Do you know Mr. Ching Ka Fai?
KRIS: Oh, yes, Uncle Ching. I’m the in-charge of his case… But his son fetched him home yesterday…
BOWIE: We’ve found his body.
KRIS: (Completely shocked) WHAT! (loses her balance)
BOWIE: (holds her) Are you alright? Miss Yip?
KRIS: (tries to calm down) I’m ok, let’s talk inside.
(after half an hour, the conversation ended)
BOWIE: (shakes hands with Kris) Thanks for your cooperation, Miss Yip.
KRIS: You’re welcome.
COLLEAGUE: (pager beeps) Sir, I have something up now, can I...
BOWIE: Ok, you may leave first.
COLLEAGUE: Thank you, sir. (and leaves)
KRIS: (looking at her watch anxiously) Oh no…
BOWIE: What’s the matter? Are you rushing for time?
KRIS: Oh yes, I’ve arranged to meet a patient in the hospital…
BOWIE: Mind if I give you a drive?
KRIS: (relieves) Thanks a lot.

(outside, they got into Bowie’s car)
BOWIE: Which hospital are you going to?
KRIS: Tang Shiu Kin Hospital. (suddenly her hand phone rings) Hello? Yes, I am… Huh? Ok then. (hangs up) (to Bowie) I think you don’t need to send me there anymore. My patient can’t make it. (she sweeps her hand, and accidentally touched broken glass pieces by the door, and her finger starts to bleed) Ouch!
BOWIE: (takes a look) Oh, I’m really sorry, I forgot to clear up the broken pieces when I accidentally broke the glass just now… Sorry… Emmm, my place is nearby. Why not you come along with me and I’ll get you a plaster? I’m sorry…
KRIS: (smiles) Ok.

(At Bowie’s place)
BOWIE: (signals her) Please take a seat, and I’ll bring you a plaster. Make yourself comfortable.
(Kris took a seat on the sofa. Besides the sofa she could see photos of Bowie in his uniform, looking smart. And she continues to look across, until she sees a photo of Bowie and Fion! They look very close in the photos, having hands on each other’s shoulder. Kris begins to wonder…)
BOWIE: Miss Yip, your plaster. (Realizes she is in a daze) Miss Yip, Miss Yip… Are you ok?
KRIS: (mind returns) Oh, yes… I am… You can just call me Kris, my friends call me by this.
BOWIE: (smiles) Ok, Kris.
KRIS: (points to the photo, to Fion) Is this your girlfriend?
BOWIE: Do we look compatible?
KRIS: Ummm, yes…
BOWIE: (breaks out) Just kidding! She’s my younger sister, and these are our parents.(direct her attention to another photo placed adjacent to the TV rack)
KRIS: (Shocked) Huh? Your sister? But you two look close in the photos.
BOWIE: Ya, we do share a close relationship, a deep sibling relationship, and she seldom calls me Gor, and instead calls me by my name, that’s why… You’re not the first one who misunderstood us. Oh yes, she is getting married soon.
KRIS: Emmm, I know…
BOWIE: (surprised) Huh? How did you know? You know my sister?
KRIS: Nope, actually her future brother-in-law, Louis, told me about it, and my brother mentioned it to me too…
BOWIE: (a bit confused) You know Louis? And your brother knows my sister?
KRIS: Louis is the psychologist in charge of one of my cases in the home. And my brother… I don't know whether your sister, that is Fion, has ever mentioned this name, Jerry Yip to you?
BOWIE: Jerry Yip? No… (bewildered) Is there anything between him and Fion?
(Kris told him all she knew about Jerry and Fion, and Bowie was completely taken aback)
BOWIE: (sighs) How did she get herself into all these troubles? (rolls his eyes, sit back) So how is it between them, now?
KRIS: I think my brother is breaking up with her…
(the sounds of keys opening the door)
FION: (closing the door, without turning back) Bowie! (turns her head and shocked to see Kris)
BOWIE: How did you know I was in?
FION: I’ve heard some noises from outside, and thought you have a friend at home, (looks at Kris) This is…?
KRIS: (puts out her hand) I’m Kris, Jerry’s my elder brother.
FION: (shakes her hands and shocked) Jerry is your brother?
KRIS: (nods her head) Emmm, I was shocked to know that Bowie is your brother too.
FION: (smiles) Oh… we certainly don’t look alike…
KRIS: (to Bowie and Fion) I think I’ll make a move first.
FION: So fast? I’ve just arrived here.
KRIS: I’ve got something on now, sorry.
FION: Ok, then I won’t hold you up then, bye.
KRIS: Bye. (Fion and Bowie sees Kris to the door and shuts the door)
BOWIE: Are you moving back?
FION: Huh? No… Why do you ask?
BOWIE: (signals her to sit down) (sighs) Why didn’t you told me about Jerry? Why didn’t you told me about this 3rd party between you and Lik Hang?
FION: (lost for words) Bowie, I……
BOWIE: So what exactly happened between you two?
FION: He told me he won’t see again…
BOWIE: But Kris said her brother really loves you very much, would he bear to part with you?
FION: I don't know, but I’m postponing my marriage with Lik Hang…
BOWIE: Why? You still miss Jerry?
FION: (nods her head and tears flow out of her eyes) Bowie… Gor… (throws into his arms like a child who’s hurt and seeking refuge)
BOWIE: (comforts her, stroking her) Come on, don’t cry… It’s ok…

PS: Oh! So Bowie and Fion are siblings too... What will happen to Jerry and Fion... will Fion make up her mind and leaves Lik Hang? Does Louis still love Fion? Will Fion look Jerry up?
