(on streets, half an hour before their meeting) (Jerry calls Fion)
FION: (picks up the phone) Jerry?
JERRY: (excited) I have succeeded! Still got another half an hour to go. We’ll meet on time.
FION: (suddenly have an idea) Eh… I want to have a ride…
JERRY: Huh? But I don’t have a car…
FION: (disappointed) Then forget it, see you later… (hangs up)
JERRY: Hello, hello…? (talks to himself) Luckily there’s still half an hour more…

(half an hour later, pub entrance)
JERRY: (shouts) Fion, here!
FION: (surprised) I thought you said you don’t have a car?
JERRY: There’s still time for me to rent one… (opens the car door) Hop in!
FION: Ok. (hops in)
JERRY: (passes the flowers) This is for you.
FION: (surprised and feel sweet) You really got all the 24 colours?
JERRY: (smiles) Emmm…
FION: Let me count them… 1, 2, 3, 4… Wow you found beige… Thank you… 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13… Oh, Champagne… so beautiful… 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20… violet! So romantic! … 22, 23… (wonders) short of one…
JERRY: Are you unhappy?
FION: It’s already formidable of you to have found 23 colours! I’m really happy, but… why did you lied and said that you found all of them?
JERRY: (passes her a gift box) Wait till you see this …
FION: What is this? Can I open it?
JERRY: It’s yours, so you decide for yourself…
FION: (Looks at him) Then I’ll open it… (Unwrapping the wrapper)
JERRY: (took a glance at her) Emmm.
FION: (Unwrapped the wrapper and opened the box) (Surprised and elated) Wow! Crystal tulip, that’s so beautiful!
JERRY: Add this up and you’ll get 24 colours!
FION: (touched) Thank You so much. (shedding tears of happiness as Lik Hang has never been so good to her)
JERRY: Why are your eyes wet?
FION: (stutters) No… Some sand got into my eyes…
JERRY: (Knows what is going on and feels sweet) Oh… But I did not open the window…
FION: (blushing) You know the reason…irritating… Start the car!
JERRY: (smiling) Oh… (and starts the car)

(on streets, at Tsim Sha Tsui Square) (Two men spotted Fion)
MAN 1: Isn’t that Fion in the car?
MAN 2: Which Fion?
MAN 1: Lik Hang’s girlfriend…
MAN 2: Huh? I thought Lik Hang is in the office now…?
MAN 1: The one besides her isn’t Lik Hang…
MAN 2: Are you serious?
MAN 1: I’m sure I my eyes didn’t played tricks on me. And they were behaving intimately…
MAN 2: Then do we need to tell Lik Hang about this?

FION: Emmm, let’s go the hill top to have coffee.

Waiter: What would you two like to have?
JERRY: One blue mountain coffee, and a tiramisu. What about you, Fion?
FION: Emmm, grapefruit juice, and… a cheesecake… Thank you.
JERRY: Wow, cheesecake! I thought girls are afraid of putting on weight…
FION: (confidently) Well, I’m slim enough…
JERRY: (takes a look) Ya, you certainly have a proportionate and great figure.
FION: (rolls her eyes) Lecherous guy!
(both laughs and continues to chat merrily)
(an hour later)
JERRY: Bill please!
(they settled the bill and walked out)
FION: (full of thoughts) What beautiful scenery! I never really learnt to appreciate it…
JERRY: (seriously) Actually there are many beautiful things around us… just that many a time we are too busy with our work or engrossed in other things, that we don’t have time to appreciate them, and … to accept them. (look lovingly into her eyes)
FION: (heart beating fast, and dare not look into his eyes after the first glance) (thinks to herself) Oh no, don’t tell me I am falling for him? Oh, that must not happen, I’ve already got Lik Hang…
JERRY: Fion? Fion? Why are you so quiet?
FION: (wakes up) Oh, nothing… Let’s make a move…
JERRY: (smiles) Ok.
(they leave)

(Fion meets up with Zoe)
ZOE: (jokingly) Hey, where’s your puppet?
FION: Hey, don’t call him by that name!
ZOE: (realized something) Why are you suddenly caring for his feelings? Don’t tell me you…
FION: (nervous) It’s not that serious yet, but I can really feel my heartbeat go faster whenever he did something for me…
ZOE: (jokingly) Oh no, there’s trouble… You better stop it…
FION: It’s not that exaggerative as you are thinking…
ZOE: Then do you miss him?
FION: (smiles) A bit la… Perhaps everything between me and Lik Hang has become a habit… Everything has become so practical, and is not romantic at all…
ZOE: Can Jerry give you that?
FION: Perhaps it is novelty… Or excitement… I believe that any girl would be touched by his actions… Jerry is really a guy who is attentive, meticulous, romantic and charming…
ZOE: (with envy) I knew he was like this at first sight…
FION: Then did you fall for him?

FION: (nervous and lied) Sam lor… Why are you so early today? No meeting tonight?
LIK HANG: I just came back to have a rest, then I am going back later. (looks at her) Eh… Why have you put on make-ups? Planning to go out?
FION: Oh… Ya, I’ve a dinner date with a friend.
LIK HANG: Oh… Sit down first…
FION: (sits down) Yes?
LIK HANG: I just want to ask you… Why have you been going out for so many days ever since your last trip? Are you uncomfortable staying here?
FION: (a bit angry) Why do you mean by that?
LIK HANG: (honestly) I’m a bit unhappy. You always stay out… Do you treat our home as a hotel?
FION: (angry) You… Apologize now!
LIK HANG: (tones down) Yes, I admit that I do have little time for you, and I have no right interfering with your freedom… But since we can live together, I believe I have the right to guide you… (euphemism for control)
FION: Fine, if you return everyday on time at seven, I’ll prepare dinner and wait for you…
LIK HANG: (don’t know what to say) Miss, I need to work…
FION: That’s right, and I’m human too. I only wish that the person I love can spend more time with me… Although having a meal together is a trivial matter, but in our lives, it’s something that is so hard to maintain…
LIK HANG: Please bear with it for some time, once I’m promoted I’ll have more time to accompany you.
FION: When? Give me a deadline, and let me have a target, so I may endure to that day…
LIK HANG: Why do you use the word ‘endure’ to describe our relationship?

FION: (coldly) I thought we should have reached the stage of feelings only?
LIK HANG: Ok, let’s stop arguing. No matter what, you still hold a very important position in my heart.
FION: Fine, accompany me tonight… I won’t go out.
LIK HANG: Tonight cannot, what about tomorrow night?
FION: (angry) Then I’ll wait till tomorrow night to love you… (walks out angrily)
LIK HANG: Fion! Fion!

PS: Jerry’s ex-girlfriend has been with his best friend secretly, and now Jerry’s relationship with Fion is in the dark too. Isn’t this ironic? Will Fion and Jerry ends up like Joe and Angel? Will Lik Hang soon knows about them? Will Fion leave Lik Hang? Sit back and relax……………………………
